Room was tired and old. Shower controls worked so hard, my wife and kids didn't have enough strength to lift the sluggish knob. Beds were hard and uncomfortable. Worst part of room was that the a/c didn't work and it was miserably hot all night long. Kids wanted to swim in pool, but when we got there, there were no towels. Then we noticed the water […] was all cloudy and gross. Management said they would check it out, but after 20 minutes we gave up and went back to our hot room. Happy we were only in town one night. We made a planned shopping stop at Merry Richards Jewelry and got the best in quality and service -a great experience. The hotel was top notch, very clean, comfortable and the staff was welcoming and professional. Will stay there again!

Service is excellent. The check in Double Tree cookie was perfect!! The price was also a plus since it was for a birthday and just wanted a night to ourselves. We didn't want to spend a ton of money just to get out of town.

My stay was AWESOME! When I checked in, I almost didn't want to go out for the evening. The bed was comfortable and the room was extremely clean.

We had a wonderful stay here and appreciated the amenities and the friendliness of the staff! We were in town for bridal gown shopping, and this convenient location was perfect for our girls' weekend. Great location and hotel. The only reason not a 5*, it didn't have a nice restaurant on premises. Granted there are many good restaurants across but for personal /business reasons, it's nice to have it right there.

there was a slow drain in the room we stayed in #234; thus, the tub didn't appear to be the cleanest.

Their high speed internet is thonly downside of this hotel. It was dreadfully slow and dropped frequently.

Ugh! We booked a king room and when we checked in we got a standard. When we approached the desk the employee said thats all they had available and that Expedia does not allow you to pick room size. After several minutes of arguments we decided to leave it be. We went back to our room to get ready to go out for the evening only to find our room had […] no hot water in the shower. Then to top it off the was what sounded like a party in the room next to us. We had an awful night sleep. Needless to sa y we will not be staying at another double tree. Tiny room. Short shower heads. Low water pressure. Otherwise, this is a great hotel. Great feature of this hotel is the parking garage in winter.

Overall the hotel was well kept. The staff was very friendly. The only thing is that we didn't know there was a parking structure in the back and we waited a long time for a parking spot to open in the front lot. Other than that, it was a good experience.

Nice, relaxing oasis in the suburbs of Chicago. Good, clean room. Great restaurants and shopping opportunities right across the street, though we didn't use them because of our short stay. Very reasonable distance from the Forest Park train station and connection to all things Chicago. The fitness center was one of the best I've ever seen and the pool […] and spa area was well-maintained, though I prefer my spa to be a little warmer in water temp. My wife lost her ipad. It was turned in at the front desk and the staff went out of their way to make sure it was returned to her. they also showed great empathy in doing this. Great people!

We visit family in the Oak Brook area and usually stay at the Holiday Inn. We were overwhelmed with quality and cleanliness of the DoubleTree. It is definitely a step above our usual accommodations in the area. Our room was immaculate, had a flat panel tv and was very quiet. The pool was very nice and the one meal we ate, breakfast buffet, was tastey. […] The only complaint was the price of the buffet. $16 per adult without eggs to order or omelette bar is a little expensive in our opinion. The room was clean and the fitness center was very nice. We were steps away from many restaurants and a large shopping center. We were blocks away from a train station. We would definetly stay here again.
