San Jose Airport Garden Hotel - San Jose

The surroundings of the hotel are nice, there is big garden and the pool, the restarurant is ok but I have not tried to use the gym. My hotel room was good enough, nothing fancy but the price match to what was there.

Pillows were the smallest I have ever seen. I stayed on the second floor with a large bag and their was no elevator! This is actually a motel. Had to drive and enter outside which I do not like nor do I feel safe. I would not recommend this hotel

Room was clean, very good internet connection, free parking. We booked breakfast and I do not recommend it because it is not a buffet. we stayed 6 nights and everyday we have the same breakfast, no room for change (they changed meat on eggs to tomato and green peper as per our request though). Shower in the bedroom was the most annoying thing in our […] stay. It comes with a manual on how to operate the shower: difficult, uncontrollable flow of water, very annoying. The room had a picture of a guy!! which I do not know and was not comfortable at least from a personal preference.The front disk had some efficient guys and others not. The reason I am saying that because I had a package delivered to the hotel and every time I ask about it they say there is no package (although it was sitting on the counter just behind them). It's an older hotel, but the staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and quiet. Really don't have anything bad to say.

The concierge was very helpful, very close to airport. Found hair on my pillow and on towel, general cleanliness ok but definitely could have been better.

Great rate for a quick overnight stay with the family. The room was pleasant , clean and comfortable.

The grounds were very pretty. Lots of fountains. The entire hotel just needs to be upated. It smells. I stayed on the second floor and walking down the hall I could feel holes in the floor underneath the carpet. The TV's are very old. Very bad reception. Very few channels. The staff were all friendly. The rate was OK. I would have expected to pay less […] for the condition the hotel is in. It's clean, just old. 3.5 miles from Cisco, where I was working. The hotel restaurant, Amalfi, was very good.

I was very disappointed. I left the room to go to the store and left my key inside. Upon returning the staff provided a duplicate or new key. It did not open the door. I called the front desk, a staff member came but could not open the door with a new key. When this failed he tried the master key that was attached to his key ring. After realizing he […] could not open the door, the hotel gave authorization to placed me in a room directly across the hall. What I did not appreciate was the fact that someone else had access to the room that vacated. If I find additional charges were submitted via my credit card report. I will file charges immediately. This is a sweet hotel, an oasis in the city that surrounds it. I wasn't there very often but while I was it was quiet and cool. Took a couple walks in the garden and hung out in the gazebo. Only one thing could have made it better that would have been a bigger TV or a remote without all the numbers and letters rubbed off.

The bath room floor looked as though it had recently been redone the trim had some water damage, but the oddest thing was just at the base of the toilet and on to the wall behind the toilet the floor was extremely hot. I don't think it was a warm floor system as it was behind the toilet. Not sure what that was about.

It looks like the furniture is from the 70's and all the varnish is peeling off the desks. This hotel is conveniently located, that's all.

The rooms were dark, workspace was uncomfortable, and the desktop grimmy. Bed was comfortable and clean. Service at breakfast was excellent. Overall however this property needs serious renovation.

We came in from Hawaii at 10:30 PM (7:30 our time), and there was neither food at the airport nor anywhere near the hotel (or any other airport hotel?). The neighborhood is all overpasses, it seems, and it was recommended we not venture out on foot. A woman of the night entered the hotel around the same time we did. The hotel itself was fine, the shuttle […] picked us up in a timely fashion and took us back early in the morning. The hotel seems to have nice gardens and could be a good venue for a airport conference. I am not sure any of the other airport hotels have any more amenities for late evening arrivals or early breakfasts; if so, I might choose them next time. Or choose a different airport for a layover. Amazing location, but building six of the hotel itself is quite old and run down for the price.

Hotel location is very easy to access from Highway 101. Very nice courtyard at the hotel. Room was very quiet even though near traffic. Good service and parking (FREE). The TV was not well situated for easy watching from bed, but for a short or business trip it is a very good choice.

Overall the hotel was fine for the price, but the rooms are extremely small and ackward.

Not a bad hotel, room service was prompt, room was a clean non-smoking room that didn't smell like someone had smoked in it before. The only down side was the TV was in a wall to the side which forces you to watch at an angle on the bed. Location is close to the Airport which is good for that early morning flight out...

The hotel is nice, but the rooms are a bit outdated and small. Staff was nice, very close to the airport.

Rooms were small but clean. Nice breakfast included. very little vending choice available if you arrive late. Ok for price. Had to call for shuttle 3 times and the driver said he must have drivenn by twice and missed me which was impossible.

Upon arrival to the hotel the staff was very nice and inviting...That is the good stuff. The hotel is VERY outdated. The rooms are small with nothing special about them, they had not fridge and the TV was from 1995. The restaurant/bar was old and ran down and the staff of the restaurant was very slow. Lovely hotel and very convenient for our trip after a late arrival at SJC--We booked it online and got a great deal that included breakfast. The only complaint we had wa that the bed sagged so much that we could not sleep. It was a spongy mattress with a big dip and it was like trying to rest on a hammock. The restaurant was great at breakfast.

just say no...I relied on previous reviews and if it hadnt been the middle of the night I would have instructed the shuttle to take me to another hotel

Pro's: It suited me well due to the location and proximity to any food outlets nearby. The room was clean, breakfast was decent, staff helpful and courteous Cons The furniture in the room was archaic but still ok for me. TV was CRT 29 inch but since I hardly used it I didn't mind

This hotel has a beautiful courtyard with fountains and gardens but that's about it. It also does have friendly employees and they were very nice but the rooms are old and need rennovations badly. 1st room I got booked into, didn't lock. I let them know about it and they moved me. They never fixed the lock as I was there 6 days and checked everyday. […] My new room toilet ran every 20 minutes for a few seconds which was quite annoying, but I had no desire to change rooms. I asked someone to fix, but apparently they couldn't fit. But I dealt with it. The heating controls are really bad and the heat is so loud. I'd run the heat, and put the temperature on like 68. I'd wake up 3am and couldn't breathe because it was so hot in the room. It just comes down to this place getting old and it's only going to get worse unless they start doing something. Nice hotel for the price, didn't like the incidental charges hold place on my card.

My room was 150' from the train station. I could hear every announcement made.

Basic quality property. Good price and location for basic travel. The King bed rooms have the (old CRT) TV up at 5 feet high to the side of the bed which makes for a awkward viewing angle.

Hotel is excellently maintained. Great place to stay and unwind when working on the road.

Once this was a nice place. Now it's tired, dated, not well lit and generally dreary.

Well-maintained, a bit clinical airport hotel with surprisingly beautiful rooms. Unfortunately lower level rooms were extremely noisy during night time (can hear people from other rooms talking, plumbing is incredibly noisy). Upon entering our room, we were met with a wall of heat. Whoever the last person in the room was,they left the heater on full blast. We had to open the sliding door to let the heat out and turn the air conditioner on. (It was cold outside). The room never really got cool, so we tossed and turned throughout the night. The hotel offers free parking and is just a quick 5 minute drive from downtown convention center. The room was not bad at all, however the loby of the building where we stayed smelled like dirty wet socks.mabe it was the old carpets..not sure..However over all if you want to save money and need a decent safe place to stay where you can park your car […] for free, I recommend this hotel.
