New Bedford Inn & Suites - New Bedford

The staff was nice but the location was farther than we expected and near a landfill. We are swimmers and were disappointed that the indoor pool was closed for painting. The pool will be nice when opened again. Huge place but no one was there! Luckily the town of New Beford made up for the stay.

I arrived very late - near midnight - I was greeted by a toothless, unshaven elder man, friendly but very disconcerting in appearance. He checked me into a room which I found was a smoke box and had not been cleaned, dirty towels on floor, unmade bed. I returned to front desk, he was not apologetic but did give me another room. That room did appear […] to have been cleaned but when I was searching for a plug I found a pile of old food containers and dirty utensils swept behind the dresser. Then in the bathroom, there were dead bugs in the bathtup and pealing wall paper patches. It was too late at night to find another hotel, but I checked out as early as possible the next morning. First room given was full of the smell of cigarette smoke. Bed was unmarried pillows looked like someone was watching tv 5 minutes ago. I asked for another room and there was no other king non smoking available. Had to take a double instead. As rooms go we were surprised to find no fridge , microwave. Room was clean. Hotel felt empty and abandoned.

Hotel was very quite. I looked like we were the only guests. The only negative thing was that the pool was closed. Nice hotel overall. And close to the theater which was the main reason of our stay there.

The front desk "guy" was rude and frankly I thought he was lying. I was put in a double bed x2 because he said he only had doubles. I booked the room 15 or 20 minutes before arriving (?) The staff was cool at best. The reserved room was had a king size bed. The previous guests were smoking pot in the non-smoking room and the staff still booked us in the stinking room. Very poor choice at any price, the only good thing I can say is: it seems safe while here. The room is dirty and there are holes in walls and stains on floors. This hotel was awful. It smelled like smoke, was disgustingly dirty, run down, and looks nothing like the pictures. The lights didn't work and the adjoining room door was open. We did not feel comfortable there and left right away.

The room was humid and even the air conditioner would not take the humidity away. It smelled like old, stale cigarette smoke. The room had NO windows, it had a door that overlooked a common area, so in effect, there was no natural light. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, even on a budget - it's just not worth your money!

While not ideal for a long vacation, New Bedford Inn and Suites was comfortable and inexpensive for a brief stay in the area. We would not choose to return for an extended vacation, but it was an economical choice while traveling.

The room that I stayed in at the New Bedford Inn & Suites was anything but clean and comfortable. After spending all day at the Newport Folk Festival, my friend and I were exhausted and therefore hoping to crash comfortably, given the price that we paid for the room. After being given an occupied room and going back to wait a while at the front desk we were then informed that only smoking rooms were available. The room was filthy, water-stained walls, cigarette holes in the comforter, mold on the shower curtain, etc... Avoid at all costs.

Did not realize this hotel harbored live ins. Felt like we were the only guests. No record of reservation. Kept waiting at the desk for a half an hour while front desk clerk tried to find the manager on his phone. Kept awake all night by drunks outside the room making too much noise.

I found this hotel to be kind of a dump. The door's swing bar lock was broken off, and not repaired. Needs a facelift on the interior;could stand some new room furniture. Continental breakfast is adequate, but I would prefer REAL cups for my coffee. Styrofoam just not make for a good cup of coffee. If you are looking for a Lounge to get a drink, forget it. Easy access to the highway.

Thin walls. Screaming, crying child well heard 2 doors down, and across the hall. Staff not friendly, or helpful. Breakfast limited, coffee available, but cups are not. Had coffee maker provided in room, but no coffee provided. Had fridge, but didn't work. No outside window, so couldn't see outdoors. Disappointing.

This Days Inn shows its age and deferred maintenance. It is what it is: a travelers or transients stopping place. it doesn't pretend to be anything else and it doesn't provide anything more. BUt that's okay. It is a place to get a night's rest and a cup of coffee in the morning. The personnel are helpful and welcoming.
