Good breakfast, even some hot items. Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in north LaCrosse but still only a short drive to the downtown area. We would stay here again when in the area

Unfortunately, when we arrived as a three person group, the guy informed.me that he had booked us in a room w one double bed. When I said that I booked two double beds because we had our 16 year old.son with us, the clerk said there was nothing he could do. He said that the hotel was completely booked w an education convention and a cheese fest in town. […] Finally he called his boss and the best they could do was give us a king bed. He was not very apologetic, as a result our son stayed w his brother at the dorms. I think there was a mixup between hotels.com and the hotel on our booking. He handled it poorly because he blamed it on me. I didn't care for that. Pool was nice, breakfast was packed w no place to sit at 8 am. Bed was nice, but management not so much. Đọc thêm

It was a very nice room with a decent continental breakfast. Pool area was clean, too. Bed was only a double size, but I knew that when I booked it, and since I was staying alone, it was just fine. Very comfortable bed, pillows, and bedding. I would highly recommend staying here again.

was a little hesitant to book into a hotel that was neither chain nor boutique and was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and attentiveness of the staff as well as the full breakfast. For an overnight en route it worked out perfectly. It is located outside the central business/historic area however so for longer stays would not be my first choice. […] Also was surprised to find that there was no elevator but fortunately had only one suitcase to carry up the stairs. I thought the hotel was kept up and had a great variety of breakfast items. Beds were a little on the firm side. Spacious and quiet rooms.

Clean, comfortable room with a bed that didn't have any dips in it. The TV was an old one (not HD), but the choice of stations was good. The continental breakfast was well above average. They had all the usual stuff, plus the make-it-yourself waffles that some hotels have, but they also had hard boiled eggs. Room was clean, although a little small. Hotel has a pool, although we did not use it. Easy to get to downtown and surrounding areas. Met our needs for one night. Owners appear to be religious, as there were several signs etc with religious sayings on them. Found this to be a bit odd.

I was in town for the LaCrosse Golf show as an exhibitor and my office manager booked the Settle Inn for the good price and earlier good ratings it had received. I was not feeling well, so I was happy to find out that the rooms were quiet, cable TV offered enough options for viewing, and the shower was plenty hot in the morning. While the pool and hot […] tub were nice, I was less than pleased with the excuse for a fitness room. Two older treadmills (both in need of service or replacement), a bike, and only two dumbells for free weights. While water was provided, no towels were available and I did not bring one from my room. The "fitness room" looks like it was a spare closet room converted. Your room key would not open the door, but the window in the door had been removed so you could reach over and through to open the door from the inside. I would invest in upgrading that set-up. The morning breakfast was solid. Nice selection of cereals, breads for toasting, hard boiled eggs, waffle maker...and Sunday morning was biscuits and gravy...thumbs up on that...Overall, I did enjoy my stay and would stay again if I make my way to LaCrosse again. Had stayed here before, and was surprised that prices for this particular weekend were quite a bit higher. Motel staff helpful, except for one individual who didn't seem to know any speed other than very slow. Good location, good upkeep, friendly staff. Guests on this weekend seemed to be primarily families with young kids.

The bed and pillows were so comfortable! The room was very clean and the staff was so helpful and professional. The pool hours and check in/out hours were wonderful as well. I will be back!

NO Elevator, Bed mattresses were HARD, Bathroom extremely small, Fitness Room only had 2 pieces of equipment - treadmill and exercise bike - and no TV in Fitness Room. Breakfast only consisted of 1 waffle maker, hard boiled eggs, english muffins, toast, limited cereal, some donuts, some yogurt, juice, coffee - very limited selections - very small & […] tight area - Eating area right by front door where the cold air was rushing in as people were going in & out. The pool and hot tub and workout equipment were in good shape and very clean. I really liked the idea that the windows opened, in our room. I felt secure in knowing I could get out of the building easily, if needed. I also enjoyed the fresh air when needed. The rooms were neat and clean. We had a refrigerator and micro wave and they were nice and clean […] and came in handy since we were there 5 nights. A restaurant was near by, within walking distance and would be great for families and they had good family food. The free breakfast was minimal, but sufficient. Enjoyed our stay. Clean room. The only odd experience was the pushy breakfast lady who hovered, followed, and commented while making our waffles. She needs to relax and allow guests to have a more peaceful breakfast.

As some other reviewers have mentioned, there are areas in the hotel that are in need of updating/fixing. We experienced a little of that in our room; holes where paintings (assume) were hung, chipped laminate on the bathroom vanity. I saw areas in the hotel where they have done some work. Nothing that I saw would keep us from staying at this hotel […] in the future. Wi-fi was fast and easy to access. Breakfast items were hot and fresh, with a nice variety. This is a nice hotel, in OK condition, that needs to be updated, maintained. good for business travel, location is good and it is quiet. Breakfast is OK.

The hotel staff were friendly and our room was clean and comfortable. In the morning we enjoyed the wonderful complimentary breakfast, including hot waffles cooked by another cheerful staff person. We would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

The only thing that would have made out stay better was to be able to print our boarding passes for the flight back home. I've never stayed anywhere that wouldn't do that!!

We visit La Crosse 2 or 3 times a year for business and always stay at this Settle Inn as it is near the areas we frequent. The hotel is always clean and well-staffed and the manager is very attentive to the smallest detail. Friendly staff, wonderful free breakfast, and well-maintained property. The hotel was a great value. From the pleasant and efficient staff, to the spa and pool area, the rooms with comfortable beds and plenty room for your belongings and an unbelievable variety of items at the continental breakfast, we were impressed.
