Oscar's Brasserie - This casual brasserie is named after the Waldorf's famed maitre d' Oscar Tschirky, credited with inventing the Waldorf salad. Offerings also include the (reportedly) Waldorf-invented Eggs Benedict. Open for daily breakfast and weekend lunch.
Sir Harry's - This clubby Manhattan mainstay is located just off the lobby. Sip a Rob Roy or Waldorf Sunset at the elegant bar, or join friends around one of the lounge's checkerboard tables. Open from early afternoon until late night.
Room service - Available 24 hours a day.
If you have energy left after shopping and touring New York, the Waldorf Astoria's 2,500-square-foot fitness facility is open 24 hours. There is a surcharge for registered guests.

"Walking distance to some great restaurants/shows"
I was there for my 25th anniversary. It was amazing! Checking in and out was quick. The hotel has a lot of character and history. The staff was very helpful and courteous, my wife felt like a new bride. We are very satisfied with our stay. "Great hotel"
Room was clean but decor dated. Lobby is beautiful. Staff is very helpful. Only downside for us-Hotel is not particularly stroller/wheelchair friendly. You can only go through one entrance, which is a tight & busy driveway in order to get in to an elevator bay that takes you to the lobby level. We just ended up carrying the stroller up and down stairs […] to avoid that one entrance with the cars/taxis. Đọc thêm

"Great Hotel"
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Waldorf. Very clean, just a long walk as our room was the last one at the end of the hall. Other than that a most enjoyable stay!

"A very comfortable, safe place to be!"
Room was spacious with 2 double beds, the bathroom was not claustrophobic like other hotel baths. Very quite too!
"Check-in and room service need improvement!"
There were very long lines in the lobby with people trying to check-in/out throughout our stay. We waited 30 minutes. As a special treat we ordered room service for breakfast and the wrong order arrived. We waited 45 more minutes for the correct order the after they left, went to pour a cup of coffee and found a pot full of water instead of coffee. […] Called for coffee and it never got delivered. "Great deal!"
This was a fantastic hotel and a great deal in a perfect location. I was hosting friends who had never visited New York and wanted to see all of the marquis things (Times Square, Central Park, Statue of Liberty). It was easy to get to all these places and more. The hotel is awe-inspiring and even had a Starbucks on the first floor. The rooms were larger […] than expected and very comfortable. I liked every thing about the hotel. It was a beautiful place. The only thing that I felt was that I had an older room because my rate was so good. It was on a lower floor over looking the roof with the mechanical system and the chair in the room had marks on the side of it from where cleaner must of spilled. It looked like bleach took the color away […] where the liquid had spread. Having worked at the front desk at a hotel before myself, I believe that is what happened. Đọc thêm

"close to all must-see sights"
OVerall - great! Once we got settled... we had booked a room to include a rollaway bed. Upon arrival, the front desk clerk gave us a room "that will fit a rollaway". Upon entering the room, it was obvious that it would not. Management took care of us and moved us to another room (while we were out sightseeing). The name is just that the name. I have stayed at far better old hotels like this in Pittsburgh, Dallas or Los Angeles for the same price or cheaper.
"Iconic Hotel"
Iconic Hotel, great location and great service. To be really picky, the bathroom paint work was a little flakey in 1 corner, and I agree with a previous comment about the air con units being a little noisy. The gym was extra, so didn't use that but they are the only slight negatives I could say about the hotel. "Lovely hotel but a little dated"
We only stayed here for one night but it was a lovely hotel with a lot of interesting history behind it. Other good points: the room was fairly spacious for NYC, good location, easy check out, luxurious toiletries. Bad points: decor is a little dated, the check in area was very busy, our remote control didn't work properly.

Our room was super hot. There was no way to control the temperature. When we complained, they gave us a fan, but that didn't make much of a difference. The Waldorf Astoria is overrated. The downstairs lobby is very nice, but our room was small and sparsely furnished.

Right in the middle of things. A few years behind her but still going strong. Amazing beds.

Well all I can say is that the Waldorf is always amazing. Love it. The level of service is so far above anyone elses service.
Not impressed. For the money they ask for per night, it is totally not worth it. It is a nice and luxurious hotel but the money it cost, it is not worth it. I would consider $230 a night a lot more resonable.

Perfect experience from the minute I walked up to the front door. Although the hotel could use a good refurbishment, I will be staying here as my first choice on future visits to the city as the service couldn't be better. If you want to experience a bit of the glamour and elegance of many of the hotel's famous guests, you will LOVE this place.

Lovely atmosphere and great servic!!! However the do need to udate te shops and restaurants to a more moderna supply: I want more modern inspiration at breakfastroom and shops! Let Stabucks have better peninghours!

"Wonderful Hotel"
The Waldorf Astoria provides remarkable comfort and service. The location s excellent and the room spacious and well appointed. Te only niggle is that wireless csts when as a guest you are already paying top dollar. However te wirelessr in the lobby (free) was very efficient.

"Service, service, service...."
I have stayed in many hotels in NY, but this has been the best experience ever. The service in this hotel was absolutely the best. It didn’t matter who I ask for help in this hotel – there was always a happy face and I felt very welcome. I will defiantly stay here again, next time I’m in NY.

"Birthday celebrations at the Waldorf"
I recently stayed at the Waldorf Astoria to celebrate my special birthday. My daughter had emailed to say it was a special occasion and when we booked in we were given vouchers to enjoy a cocktail at the hotel bar. The staff were very helpful and the room on the 26th floor very comfortable
"Waldorf Astoria/Towers - Historic Hotel"
Beautiful historic hotel with great service. We were able to check in early and were upgraded to the Towers, without even asking. The room was charming with what looked like many of the historic fixtures. My only complaint was that the mattress was not as comfortable as I expected. Overall, it was a great experience.

A gresat hotel, however it's very large and busy. If you are looking for modern this is not your style. Charming and classic with a deep history. We will definitely return!

We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights. The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The Sunday Brunch was absolutely fabulous and not to be missed. The rooms, however, badly let the hotel down - very much in need of tlc despite the statement of two years' renovations having been completed - they must still be getting round to ours!
