The langham was a very nice hotel. The check-in was rather lengthy, but the rooms were nice and clean and the hotel was quiet. The hotel is close to Quincy Market and other sites. Some of the concierges were not particulary helpful, but the hotel overall was very good.

This is a nice hotel in a great location in Boston. The room was clean and spacious, and the bed comfortable. We got great service from the bellhops, who took care of not only our luggage but also our bikes. The front desk attendants were a little less attentive. After we got to the front of the line, we probably stood there for 10 minutes while the […] 2 working attendants answered phone call after phone call (not making eye contact with us, just holding up a finger to say "just a minute" over and over). There was a 3rd attendant who just stood there doing things on a computer without looking up. That's kind of frustrating after 6 hours straight in the car and really needing to use the bathroom. I don't think of myself as overly demanding, but it'd be nice if hotel desk staff (especially a good hotel) would realize that the guest standing in front of them should at least be given some consideration in a scenario like that. My husband and I took a trip to Boston to celebrate his 40th birthday. The Langham was beautiful snd the staff was very helpful. Located in the Financial District the location was perfect within walking distance of the T, Boylston Street, Boston Common, Quincy Market, China Town, the famous North End and the Aquarium. The Financial District is a ghost […] town on weekends, it was very quiet and a nice surprise. Restaurants, coffee & sandwich shops in the immediate area are closed on weekends not a big deal as there were so many other choices still within close proximity. The little extras provided by the hotel were very nice, chocolates and lemonade upon arrival, turn down service with fresh bottles of water and ice provided, free newspaper of your choice. The Langham clearly takes customer service seriously. Every staff member, including the Desk Clerk, Bell man, Door man, concierge, and housekeeping staff was wonderful. My only complaint was the nickel and diming for amenities that should be free. I paid top dollar for our room, and was shocked that they wanted an additional $18 for high-speed internet, […] and the computers in their business center cost an astonishing 30 cents PER MINUTE! Smallish rooms; interesting location but it is the financial district so kind of empty in immediate surroundings... Many businesses base their hours on a 9-5 week; Great staff; beautiful hotel.

Our stay was made enjoyable and stress free with the Langham's accommodating, helpful staff.( Particularly the guy at the front door and the man who checked us in ) Directions to desired destinations were helpful and easy to follow!

This is a lovely grand old hotel, but frankly the renovations don't fit. The location kept us in walking distance of Quincy Market and the North End. The staff was lovely, and though we had a security issue during our stay - it was resolved quickly by the security staff. The satellite television was malfunctioning badly during the first night of our […] stay, and we had no signal on most channels. That situation improved the following night, but was not completely resolved. Our room service breakfast was lovely, but the coffee was undrinkably bitter. The rooms and common areas are impeccibly kept and helpful staff abound. The food and service at the Bond restaurant were quite good, but the decor, including a wide screen TV are completely out of place in such an elegant room. Definitely a hotel with character and history. Good location for business (right next to our office). Glad the lobby renovations are done and the cafe is open for a quick breakfast in the morning. Impressive pool, spa and gym as well.

Lovely hotel. Food good but expensive. Bond bar and restaurant excellent setting and atmosphere. The only thing we felt let the hotel down a bit was the bathroom. Could do with updating.

We stayed here after the blizzard as we needed to get away with our children who had been stuck indoors for days! We all enjoyed this hotel right from the minute we pulled up to the entrance! I recently decided to surprise my husband with an overnight stay at The Langham. I wanted things to be special and had called previous to check in and spoke with Larissa. She was wonderful and said everything would be all set. I arrived ahead of my husband and upon check-in was immediately upgraded to a suite without even asking! It seemed that the […] staff just could not wait to exceed my expectations. Larissa even gave me a voucher towards any hotel services which I used for appetizers in the very trendy Bond restaurant where I had told my husband we were going for drinks. The waitress was in on the surprise and came over with a tray of macaroons with a candle and Happy Birthday written in chocolate! The room was beautiful -floor to ceiling windows that looked out over a lovely park below. The bed was super comfortable and all the linens and towels were so rich and thick. After returning from dinner there were chocolates laid out for us and another birthday wish written in chocolate. My husband worked out in the gym and said it was the nicest one he had ever been in and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. The overall impression is that all the staff at The Langham could not be more willing, to help with anything that was needed. The area is a bit quiet but that is great at night because it is easier to sleep. Many points of interest, Fanueil Hall, the North End, Seaport are all within easy walking distance. Have stayed here throughout the hotels transformation and the service never suffers. Staff is fantastic, extremely polite and gracious as well as lots of familiar faces over the years. The Langham's staff was top-notch and the hotel is well-maintained. The bathrooms could use an update as could the TV and clock radio in the guest rooms. The pool was nice and not terribly crowded. Fitness center is 24 hours.
