Montparnasse is a little further out of town than we're used to but the hotel is just a short walk from the station so no trouble carting luggage. It is more like a business hotel aka enormous with a slightly souless bar - but it also has the benefits. Service is very efficient, decor very smart and the place is as clean as a whistle. We were on the 23rd floor with a spectacular view of the city (not that there was anything recognisable in the view) plus we were upgraded. Looking for a reliable modern fuss free accommodation, We were three of us friends so we were offered a room with, what they called, two double beds. Sounded perfect, so we made a fully prepaid, non refundable booking on Hotels.com. At some 900 plus rooms, this Pullman is a factory! Runs like a machine, and wants you to be one also! Cons: Totally non personal, stand in a queue for everything: checkin/checkout/breakfast. You are just a number in 900 to attend to. Double beds were actually Queen sized beds, big for one and small for two. So we shifted and joined them, and whoever was in the center joint woke up with a backache! Totally, and as they say strictly non-smoking. When we requested for a smoking room, they regretted availability and informed us of a Euro 300 fine if any of us took the liberty of lighting up in the room!! Had we not prepaid, would have cancelled our stay at that point. Overall: If you can pay upwards of $ 300 to subject yourself to their "rules and regulations", don't mind standing for 15 min queue for breakfast or for checkins/checkouts, then a neat/decent/convenient but forgettable place to stay in this most beautiful city of Paris! This is not exactly a criticism since it seems like a going trend in Europe ( we have seen elevated tubs in many European countries) but I suggest not to make bathroom tubs so high. The Pullman Paris Montparnasse was a great hotel experience! The beds and bathroom were very clean and comfortable! The staff was attentive and helpful! We truly enjoyed our stay! The location is a bit out of the way of the major sites, but not too much of an issue with the metro and bus stop close by! Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent modern business hotel with an attentive staff. The hotel is immediately opposite to the Air France airport bus stop. The views of Paris from our 21st floor room were amazing. The only downside to British guests is that there are no coffee and tea making facilities in the rooms.

Rooms seem to be best on one side of the hotel than the other. I have stayed around 5 times now as it is close to where i work and get the feeling that the more modern rooms are on the business side. Breakfast could be better but the beds are amazing!

This hotel is very conveniently located near several subway, trains and bus stations as well as animated area that offers plenty of restaurant and coffee places. Condition of the hotel is very good. Rooms are very clean, functional and comfortable; especially the bedding. Will definitely consider it again for next trip in they area.

I'll start with the good. Checkin staff despite the late hour were pleasant and patient. Breakfast was reasonable, good pastries. Location was good for exploring the city (RER and metro stations nearby). Montparnasse tower is a must see vantage point for the city only a block away. Good selection of restaurants nearby as well. Now the bad. First room […] we received had mold in the shower grout. Not something you expect from a 4 star hotel. Second room was flooded (not kidding, one step in the carpet was soaked and water was dripping from the ceiling). We were even willing to upgrade to their deluxe or superior rooms but the upkeep of those rooms weren't any better, mold again. We finally found a room that was ok, clean, minimal mold in the grout but certainly not 4 star quality. Every single room the furniture was showing signs of excessive wear with no proper maintenance, some walls were discoloured despite what obviously was a newly done rennovation. I've been in 3 star hotels that have been better maintained, this hotel is barely a three star. One night we felt tired and wanted to order room service, to our surprise we couldn't find the phone! Turns out, they forgot to put one in our room. At least they sent someone up quickly to put one in. It's not like the people before us had absonded with the phone, no the guy actually had to rewire something to get the phone to work, so it was never installed? My wife's phone charger went missing from the room. It wasn't something we had considered worth locking in the safe. We reported it at checkout and the manager found us a "left behind" charger except we will need to use it back home with a plug adaptor. Very expensive hotel. 15-20 euros for a drink and 25 euros for a very poor standard of breakfast that was cold. Hotel employees come across very rude and unhelpful
