The amount I paid simply was not justified for what I recieved (paid $500 a night). The hotel did not have a pool/gym/anything, and is in need of renovation - especially the carpets.

Hotel was lovely view from balcony room excellent. Room service was excellent. Rather expensive breakfast at 20 euro. Staff were very good and were very willing to help. Booked an excursion viareception who were very helpful.

Fantastic position and rooms recently upgraded. Good size and front rooms have fantastic view of the water and promenade. No parking came as a surprise as we were driving. The position though is perfect for all local sites.

Nice traditional hotel in a very good location right on the sea front and just a 10 minutes pleasant stroll from the old town. Very handy for the airport bus which has a stop just a couple of minutes walk from the hotel. The bedroom was contemporay in style and of a good standard. The TV offered all the BBC and ITV channels which was a bonus. The restaurant […] is closed in winter months so breakfast is taken in an area at the back of the lobby which was although pleasant enough, is quite dark and has no view of the sea at the front of the hotel. They offer an express breaskfast at 9 euros which is qood if you want a light or quick breakfast otherwise it is a buffet breakfast at 20 euros. We had a sea view room. The view from our balcony was fantastic. However, only heavy sleepers would not be disturbed by the busy street traffic below that goes through the night. The doors did little block this out. Great view but tired in the morning...

On the water a short walk to the old town and the many eateries that Nice have to offer. Good size rooms that were clean and comfortable. Would stay at this hotel again.

Basically, the hotel is a good place to lay your head at night. Major complaint is that the elevator was out of commission for an entire week, forcing us to climb 5 flights of stairs 2-3 times a day. A very Good hotel that has a terrific location for Nice. For the price it was a very good deal. Room was clean, large and bright. The bathroom was as big as the bedroom. The staff is courteous and helpful. You are within walking distance to the shopping, eating, Old Town and the beach is across the street.

Ten days of sun and relaxation. Visited middle of September 2012 and weather was unbelievable. Sunny and warm but no humidity. Perfect for beach or sightseeing. Beach leaves a little to be desired. Very rocky, hard to get in and out of the water. Forget trying to put an umbrella into the ground! That said, the rest of Nice is wonderful. Great bus system […] for getting around as well as being able to walk to most sights. Tremendous diversity of cultures with French and Italian leading the way. Sometimes forgot if we were in France or Italy. Food everywhere is delicious and reasonably priced. Monaco only 40 minutes away and well worth the trip. Simply beautiful! I went to nice with my wife and booked the westminister hotel.The wrong room was booked for me upon arrival. I had booked a double room with one big bed and got twin beds. The staff then tried to give me a "single" small room (cheaper room if booked) instead which i refused until i got the room I booked. It was around midnight. The first night i had […] 2 nice feather pillows. second night, for some reason, housekeeping took 1 of the pillows to replace it with a 5 cm thick dreadfull pillows. Went down to reception and complained. Staff sent security to look for a pillow in a dirty store where he could locate only old and dirty pillows. He told me it wasnt his job and he is sorry he could not help. Second morning i complained at the reception and they guarntied me they would do something about it. Came back that night to find that they stuffed 2 of the same pillow kind in one pillow case and for both pillows. Went down to reception to complain. They again sent the same security person and then rudely replied that they had no pillows. II gave up afterwards but fortunetly they replaced the pillows the 4th night on their own. Pretty disappointing place after reading the reviews and the price. Nothing wrong with the rooms, good size and clean. This hotel is in a prime location on the Promenade des Anglaises. There is a large bar area in front of the hotel for drinks at night. We didnt book breakfast but the beach restaurant opposite does a 9 euro basic petit dejener and the cafe next door has a larger less expensive choice. The hotel has a private beach advertised, it would be better to advise travellers that this does have a cost of 22 euros per day each person. The package of very comfortable sun lounger, parasol and towel seems well worth it when compared to sitting on the pebble beach. Yes the hotel is well situated and the room is nice however the building could use some freshening up. The reception desk for example is old and dated as is the lobby. Staff was not welcoming. Shower was horrible - didn't have a glass wall or shower curtain so the entire bathroom counter and floor was soaking wet after every shower. Redeeming quality was location - right on the water. The overall impression is a worn down "tired" hotel. The room for 2 adults and an infant was ver small - suitable for 1 person. It took 45 minutes to receive 2 medium/small suitcases in the room. Comfort level in an IBIS hotel is better. I'll not be back.

Served its purpose for 1 night in nice, room ac was barely a fan, no cooling very stuffy and uncomfortable in the summer heat. Walk to old nice, better stores and restaurants convenient. Front desk check in extremely slow and not pleasant

Location and seaview were perfect. Midway between Cannes and Monte Carlo. The hotel was charming. With a little TLC it could be very lovely. Period furniture added charm, but torn leather upholstery on chair was offensive.

Don't request a walk-in shower - they only have four rooms with this option, including room 205, which must be the smallest in the hotel. Staff was very helpful with food and activity suggestions. Hotel bar is nice with a patio overlooking the water. We showed up earlier then check in and they had the room ready. Rooms were clean. Good place if you are out and about all day and need a relaxing place to come back to

We loved this hotel so much that we stayed here for 8 days. Great location, right on the promenade. Beautiful view. Yes it's loud st night with traffic, but we knew that from reading all the reviews. Earplugs help. Comfy bed and sheets. Clean, newly renovated.

The noise level from the busy road are extremly high even at night which doesnt allow you to keep the balcony window open or relax in the open hotel bar

The hotel location is ideal. It is definitely worth paying the supplement for a sea view room because the sunset and sunrise over the Bay of Nice are spectacular - and particularly pleasant when you are sitting on your 5th floor balcony to watch the display.

This hotel was on the Promenade and we had a 5th floor sea view room. It was superb! The room was large and so was the bathroom. Everything was updated and extremely comfortable. The hotel was very quiet. We never heard anything. Opening the doors to our small balcony and seeing the Mediterranian sunrise and sunset everyday was picture perfect. A bus […] stop was located 1/2 block from the hotel with easy access to the airport and other coastal cities. We were a 15 minute walk to the train station. I have just one complaint. It has one of the those modern showers where you wish the glass door functioned as well for as aesthetically pleasing as it is. No curb-side porter, but very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent location. For the same price as an interior courtyard standard room at the Negresco (2 blocks away), I had a very nice Jr Suite with a large balcony on promenade.

This hotel was located in the best location, we paid a little more to get a sea view room, worth every penny. The room was clean, had all the mod cons you would expect and large for European standards. Can highly recommend the hotel for anyone wanting to stay in a great location.
