Staff was very friendly. Room was adequate. Carpet could use a cleaning. Not well maintained: example-toilet tank top was not the correct size and didn't fit the tank. Odd?? Worked out fine but was a little disappointed. Breakfast food was standard quick food. Just okay. Once again, the staff was very friendly!!!!

The neighborhood was sketchy but the hotel was ok. The room itself was clean but the bathrooms look pretty dingy. We had a safe quiet night with our kids and the hotel was close to our tourist destinations for the next day, Sun Studios & Memphis Zoo

This is an excellent place to stay especially if you have family or friends in the hospital and you need a good night sleep. Good location and very clean. Staff is much help.

Although it was a few miles from the heart of everything, the hotel was very nice. The breakfast, popcorn and cookies were thoughtful. The employees were very friendly and helpful!

The holiday inn was nice but I didn't like that when I made the reservations that I asked for two beds and received only one and I also didn't like that I asked for a non smoking room and I was in a smoking room. I don't care if I used this site or not to book this stay if I am paying more for a room for these things I should get it. I also don't care […] if I check in later than others I HAVE the reservations I should get what I ask for. The first time I stayed at this hotel it was fine but I was not happy about this time. I am not sure that I would recommend this hotel for these to major reasons. The back door also didn't always lock when you entered I didn't really feel safe with knowing that either. Our daughter was interviewing at UTHSC for med school and was going to be tied up for most of the day. We requested as late a check out as possible from the hotel since we had to wait for her and the neighborhood is not the best by the school. The hotel really bent over backwards to help us out. I was very pleased with my stay. The room was very comfortable and I did not hear any noise outside of my room. Breakfast was very good and it was nice to have the popcorn in the afternoon/evening.

We came in and realized we were given a smoking room instead of a mon-smoking. Then, that night, we realized our door wouldn't lock. The deadbolt didnt line up. It was after midnight so we did not contact the front desk but since it was just my daughter and myself, I stacked things in front of the door just in case. The hotel was a 10-15 min walk to Beale St. and the neighborhood wasn't aas bad as I had thought after reading some reviews. I can see where some people may have been leary of the walk but I never felt uncomfortable on the walk. I would stay again.. Very friendly staff!

Hotel was nice. Great breakfast, free coffee, hot chocolate, and popcorn in the evening. Missed have an indoor pool or hot tub. Would stay again though

We stayed one night at this hotel b/c we could not get on Beale street. The hotel was a very short car ride away from beale. The only reason I gave the area a 3 is that there wasn't much in the immediate area. The hotel was spotless, our beds were very comfortable with thick, fluffy comforters. hotel is updated in a decent neighborhood. It's close to lots of restaurants on Union and to downtown, but not close enough to walk. Beds were very comfy and breakfast was a typical holiday inn style, but hot and good. overall great stay and friendly staff.

They were all booked up those few nights we were there. We felt like they took advantage of the fact that we booked with Hotels.com because they placed us in some "overflow" room in the smoking section. When we complained, they deferred us to hotels.com instead of trying to accommodate us in any way.

We didn't think Memphis is a pretty city. In general looks a disadvantage city. Went out one night to listen to some live music, which was excelent, and didnt feel save. No other people on the streets and bars empty on Sunday night. Would no go back there. Hotel is in central downtown Memphis and is well maintained and newer construction. Rooms are quiet and close to medical buildings, trolley line and fast food. The hotel was clean,well lit and quiet.The staff was EXCELLENT.Its been such a long time since I've experienced such a pleasant and helpful staff.They mad the experience amazing.The room was awesome.Not too far from downtown and the action areas.The surrounding neighborhood,not the best,but I'd definitely stay there again.its worth it.

I was happy with this hotel, which has a gym, serves breakfast, and offered free hot cocoa and popcorn all evening. The surrounding neighborhood was a little rough, but they had a police office on site all evening, which helped me feel safer.

We stopped at this hotel en route to Mexico foor the winter. We stayed 2 nights in order to take in soem of the wonderful Memphis sites. We were very pleasantly surprised with the quality of this property.
