The Hotel was a good clean and comfortable place to stay. The best thing about the hotel is the people who work there and the service they provided. The bar area was the best, Conner and Andrea really go out of their way to provide great service. The one thing I would say is that we were in a non-smoking room and it was evident that someone had previously smoked in the bathroom.

The hotel was clean and conveniently located. The staff was extremely helpful and there was a free shuttle provided to the Columbia airport, as well as to the downtown area. The free breakfast was more than adequate and they even had a free happy hour. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again on future visits.

Conveniently located, really close to the Zoo, right off the highway. Nice decor, helpful staff. The restaurant was a bit of a disappointment, but we like the drinks and snacks at the bar. This is a nice hotel. We ended up getting a smoking room with 2 double beds instead of a non-smoking king, which was not ideal, but the room was nice and had everything. Our toilet didn't work and it took 2 phone calls before the service man actually replaced the part to fix it which was annoying, but they had a nice happy hour with drinks and snacks […] and a great breakfast in the morning. The location to the university was great and overall if we had gotten the room we wanted I would have rated this much higher. I would probably stay at Homewood Suites right down the street next time. My stay was awful,,cob webs in sealing,bathroom to small, no vent n bathroom,but customer service was great...Enjoyed breakfast,,but due to rooms not being clean as needed to be,,I won't stay at that room again,and I love embassy suites,,,but that wasn't a good stay....

I give the hotel a below par review because I was told at check in that there would be a $10 hold on my card for incidentals. By the time I checked out the next morning there were several holds on my account. The beds were terrible! Hard and lumpy. The breakfast area was so loud at 530am when they were setting up! Woke everyone in the room up. Not a pleasant stay! Will not stay there again. I have stayed in many Embassy Suites and this was no comparison! Terrible

You can not beat the fact that you get a full breakfast for the price of this room which any other hotel would charge about $15 a person for. The amenities are top notch and well taken care of and you can not hear any of your neighbors. The neighborhood was a little sketchy but that was my only concern.

We have stayed a few times at the Embassy Suites at Greystone. We went there recently during the Christmas holidays and loved how it was decorated. The beds are comfy and we love having the separate living room area with an extra tv in it. Also enjoy having the many recently released movies available to rent although sometimes they are rather expensive. […] Love the breakfast buffet with made to order omelets and everything else you can imagine. The happy hour is pretty cool too. I was bummed out to find out that I would have to pay $9.95 to pay for wi-fi in my room although free in public areas. For the price of my room I think that should have been an added free benefit. "Oprah and Gail Weekend" This hotel served as a good location for a Road Trip for two BFF who put the Petal to the Metal and toured most of South Carolina. We attended the "Chittlin Festival in Salley SC, visited the Columbia Zoo and conducted some local shopping in Columbia SC. This Hotel served as a perfect Spot to return to nightly.

This is a very nice hotel, but everything seems out dated. I went to two different rooms and they smelled very musty. The service there is a good, but I just think that the hotel need to be updated.

I love staying at Embassy Suites hotels. For my family it gives the biggest bang for the buck. Reasonable prices, roomy accomodations, wonderful cooked to order breakfasts, happy hour, indoor pools and locations in many tourist spots. Staff has always been helpful and knowledgeable about area. In 22 years I have never been dissappointed.

My friends and family travel to this spot atleast twice a year. We always enjoy the great staff, the comfortable beds (I never want to get up especially after a long week at work) and the convenience to nearby attractions - It's a safe and comfortable place for a girls weekend or the family trip to the zoo for the weekend.

The Hotel was great, staff was friendly, food was good, However when you entered the Hotel you could smell the clorine from the pool. When we went to the pool it took your breath it was so bad. The Hotel over all was a great stay close to the Zoo and Down Town.

The hotel was a bit older than I was expecting from Embassy Suites (building was 20+ years old and in a run-down portion of town). When we checked in, our room was really warm (82 degrees) even though the thermostat was set on 65. We called the front desk and they sent up a new filter. The old one was clogged (gross!) but it still took another 5 hours […] for the room to cool down to 72 degrees (where we set the thermostat) due to the old age of the AC system. Cocktail hour - 1 bartender = 45 minute wait in line = "free drinks" were not all that enjoyable as most of the time was spent waiting in line. Breakfast was good, with the omelette line moving fast. This visit was not comparable to my visit last year. The internet was not complimentary in my room, I would have to schlep to common areas to use the internet. Room was not ready when we arrived. Had to ask after waiting 30 minutes to be waited on at restuarant, then waited thirty additional minutes for the food and then ask for it be sent to room and then when it got to room all of it was cold. The next morning the water got shut off and couldn't shower.

Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms large and comfortable. Surprised that wifi was not free but even more surprised that the pcs in the business centre were always available, free printing, free fax and no charge for use!!! Breakfast excellent with the most efficient omelette maker I have ever seen.
