There were a lot of parties and drug deals going on outside of our room. Groups of people smoking and drinking outside of our room until 4am.

This hotel was horrendous. On arrival we were told that the hotel was undergoing renovation ( and that we should have been aware of this). It was clear that no work had taken place for some time. We found that floor coverings had been removed, walls were part plastered. The unpainted door was heavy metal and together with the wired glass closely resembled […] a prison, except for the one inch gap under it. The bathroom sink was detached from its base. There appeared to be no staff on duty on this Friday evening. From 11pm to well after 2am youths ran riot. Doors were continually slammed, loud music played and heavy knocking on doors meant sleep was not possible - and we dare not leave our room. The street outside the hotel was having sewers relaid and traffic restricted to one way - quite a detour to get to and from hotel. all in all unsatisfactory. Staff were nice and tried to be of good service but it run down and need of renovation and general cleaning up and renovation. I would not astay there again and would not recommend it to others.

For the price, this Econolodge was too expensive, still under renovation (walls in halls not finished painting) parking lot bad condition, hallways not finished. Environment didn't feel very safe. Room inside was OK, and 2 Queen beds comfortable which was what we required. Due to street break-up reaching the hotel was a nightmare. They're in the process of restoration, but so were they also two years ago. The basin in the washroom is about to fall off. I doubt we will stay there again. The reasonable rate attracted us. The continental breakfast is a great plus!

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.. The hotel was renovating while we were there some some of the demolition material was outside part of the building and not in a dumpster which made the place look a little trashy. The neighborhood is under construction so it looks from the outside like a shotty neighborhood but it really wasnt. The hotel […] is only about 8 blocks from the Byward Market which was great we walked to almost everywhere we wanted to see. The mint, the market, the government buildings, the library, all within a 20 minute walk. There was plenty of shopping and restaurants in the area. Again if judge a book by its cover it doesnt look like much, but location, location, location is the name of the game for this hotel. Breakfast was suitable but the market provided so many other opportunities we didnt eat much there. An older but well maintained hotel. Free parking is a plus in downtown Ottawa. This hotel is within easy walking distance of the Parliament buildings, Byward Market and lots of dining options. Room was very clean and comfortable. Slept very well. Staff at front desk was very friendly, courteious and most helpful. Had trouble with the Wi-Fi connection - front desk immediately put me touch with provide by phone and problem was solved. I will be staying at this Econo-Lodge on my next trip to Ottawa.

The hotel more like a motel of the kind common in the 1950's and -60's. It seemed to be in the need of some repair and there were indeed renovations going on while I was there. Except for the bed, which was wonderfully comfortable and seemed new, the furniture needs to be updated. Price was good, but this old motor-hotel was undergoing renovations and our room wasn't finished. Bare unpainted drywall patches, bare unpainted steel entrance door and frame. Bathroom vanity not fastened to wall. Furniture like the TV cabinet and a small table were old and scratched. Continental breakfast was quite good.

This hotel was ghetto, sketchy looking people hanging around, you swear they rent rooms by the hour there. I didnt feel safe at all there. I wouldnt recommend this place at all. They charge you so much for such a horrible place. The sink in the bathroom wouldnt drain. The bed was hard and the sheets had a stain on it. It was disgusting

Put it simple, the only advantage this hotel has is its location, otherwise everything else are disadvantage and here is why: 1) The hotel is under renovation, you shouldn't accommodate when you renovating 2) The sheds of the table and stand lamps are in bad shape like full of holes 3) The bed sheets are so old and loaded with holes and blood stain […] was on mine 4) The furniture inside the room was worst than those you find on the sidewalks on Sundays thrown by owners, in other word put, furniture found in garage-sales are of higher quality and condition than room's furniture. And I don't think that management have heard that flat TVs are soooooo cheap nowadays. 5) A hotel like this in USA would be half the price. Đọc thêm

The location is near downtown, the hotel is under renovation which can only improve the place. The bathroom was tiny and not vey clean, the beds were dated as was the decor, and one lamp shade was broken. Hotel security was minimal in an area that is not very safe. Breakfast was simple and edible and overall the stay was un-eventful.

Easy parking for accommodation in the city (walkable to downtown) Nice motel-style hotel. Room too hot Corridors under renovation when we stayed but would normally look better I imagine. Major problem however with the use of Styrofoam for cups and plates, and disposable cutlery.

The service was excellent and the room was clean, but the hotel hall way is under renovation and the room was affected. 1) the door handle fell off the door, 2) the thermostat did not work and the room was very cool (17C) 3) the entry door to the room was 2cm from the floor. Deplorable shape but they said they were working on upgrading. Bathroom tiny and bare wooden 2x2's holding up sink. First room we had on main level, TV was messed up. Moved to another room upstairs where workmen were banging and clanging and floors in hallway were covered in dirt and scraped off paint chips which got tracked into our room. The location of the hotel was the selling point. Great location and the staff are friendly. However, the shower in my room didn't work, which was brutal to discover the morning of a day full of appointments.

We booked using the Expedia tool to save 40% off our hotel price and in the past this has worked very well for us. This time, however, it was very disappointing. This was clearly not a 2.5* hotel. The room furniture was falling apart, the hotel seemed to be half under construction and the presence of the police to evict some hotel residents on the Sunday […] morning was not part of what we have come to expect from Expedia approved hotels. Heating system didn't work. It was way too hot. In the shower the faucets are reversed. They're doing construction and so the hallway is pretty cold (during winter). The bed was extremely uncomfortable. My boyfriend and I woke up sore. It was over priced for what we got. I could have paid less for a similar room at a hostel. the hotel is outdated, but the room was nice and had all amenities (wifi, microwave, tel, fridge, coffee maker, iron etc). the washroom was decent. The carpet seemed old, and there was a smell of cigarette smoke upon entering the room (even though it was a non smoking room).
