Great hotel.Only disappointments were we asked for a double bed but were given 2 single beds pushed together and room temperature could not be controlled.

Room was clean but decor was so dated and the carpet needed a deep clean. Breakfast is very nice and would suit any dietary requirements. However, the food is scattered all over the room and you need to walk from one end to the next to grab milk to poor over your cereals. Did not make much sense to me anyway. Beautiful hotel. Some great decor. We could just imagine Hercule Poiroit coming down the stairs. Lovely room with a great shower. Some of the passageways to the rooms could do with a steam clean. Overall a very pleasant stay

Having stayed at this hotel many years ago I was extremely disappointed that the standards of cleanliness ,furniture and fittings and overall quality had deteriorated so much.We travelled as a family of five with my grandaughter aged 4 years.On entering the hotel we were confronted by an exhibition of paintings and sculpter depicting various large naked […] women which were totally out of place culminating in a grotesque mammoth sized obese naked woman over the main door.(I am not a prude,far from it).Reception staff had a poor understanding of English and porters were not offered or available for luggage.There was only one restaurant open which was Bistro type and limited menu.Clearly out of season the staff are considerably reduced to the detriment of guests.Ou rooms were iniatially on the first floor but we were moved to the ground floor after an unexplained droning noise could not be dealt with.At about 1am.we were woken by the sound of workmen drilling and hammering on the flat roof directly outside our two room windows.When confronted the men just laughed and said they had to work.The room furniture,curtains and carpets were quite old and in need of replacement.The walls were dirty and the bathroom continually smelt of damp(no Extractor fan).The pool was very good,when open, but pool towels were scarce.Overall very disappointing ,I would not recommend a stay here,certainly not out of season. First impressions the hotel looked impressive in the main public areas, however, the bedrooms were a serious let down, being very old fashioned and tired looking. The front of house staff were very good, however, I left a pair of shoes in the bar at 0200hrs when the bar closed, they were not there in the morning and little effort was made by staff to […] find them. My concetrn being that the bar staff and domestic staff would have cleared and cleaned that area before any members of the public accessed it, yet the shoes were not handed in. Arrived at 2.05pm at this Hotel to be told that there was no food at all available.l.... not even a sandwich! The chef and kitchen closes at 2.00pm which left 6 hungry travellers (with two teenagers) tired from a long journey and starving... we were offered an address of a local restaurant to go to in Le Touquet so it was back into the car and a 30 […] min search for a parking space in Le Touquet centre followed by queing for 20 mins for a table.. not really the way we had anticipated starting our weekend break..... Hotel reception lovely, bedrooms old and dated and in desperate need of refurishment. Pool dirty full of sand and not cleaned overnight. Staff a mixture of appalling to v. nice. The room was extremely tired. Very chipped brownwood furniture, several cracked tiles and taps worn down to the brass in the bathroom. No tea making facilities, no minibar, just 1 small bottle of water. Tea for 2 when ordered was two small pots half full of warm water, Earl Grey [not requested] sachet of tea leaves and a further teapot with a little […] milk in the bottom. Hotel staff did not communicate with each other and as a result we found ourselves constantly having to repeat requests. We were advised that we would be given coffee and tea facilities for our room but none came, the told that we could order coffee / tea from room service at no change. The staff were more concerned about a wedding reception hosted downstairs than their hotel guests. Room was ready for an update,some of the fitments were passed there best. Only one problem ,make sure you room is away from the bin area was this is cleared each morning starting at 6:30. We were in room 57 which was right above the bins.

Really good overall. Only one "odd" thing that we have not come across anywhere before. When checking in, we were given a card each for each night of our stay.We were then expected to hand these cards back when checking out or it would be assumed that we had had breakfasts and would be charged?

If we stayed in Le Touquet again we would certainly choose a hotel nearer town. This has to be a 25/30 minute walk. We felt the cost of the breakfast was far too expensive at 17 euros each and for a 4 star hotel with no tea or coffee making facility in the room we thought that was pretty poor. I was disgusted as was under the impression the breakfasts were being offered as a compliment as I had stayed more than once previously at the hotel. The breakfasts were in no way worth the ridiculous 17 euro price per person, and I was extremely annoyed. High quality hotel with excellent food and good service, bicycle hire and splendid front view from the hotel. Safe parking. The wi-fi was provided by Orange and worked at a modest pace but required repeated sign-ins - just a minor niggle in an otherwise perfect stay. Comfortable beds and rooms.

Have visited this hotel on many occasions. Always relaxing, excellent welcome at reception. Room very comfortable. Location excellent for the centre and beach within walking distance or use one of the hotel bikes. Breakfast was buffet but plenty of choice. Would definately go back.

A good base to stay for the night as only 15mins walk to lovely town centre. Staff were quite aloof and didn't appear very helpful which let the hotel down. Room ok for what we paid but in this day and age I think there should be a kettle in each room.

Have stayed before and gone downhill - rooms are tired and need refurbing - I had booked a superior room as I thought and thought it was extremely basic! Mini bar fridge dirty! Waited all week for glasses / coke bottle to be removed and in the end stuck them on the cleaners cart! Bathroom clean but stained copper taps, badly brown stained toilet and […] chipped metal bath! No bed in the room for my son on arrivial which broke by the last night and he had to sleep on a matteress on the floor! Spa area no longer managed - never any towels for showering and no toiletries provided. Breakfast - always running out of pastries - one morning had to wait 30 minutes for a croissant! Sadly there was nothing 'Grand' about the inappropriately named Mercure Grand Hotel, falling considerably short of a hotel worthy of four star status in our opinion. This was our first break as a family following the birth of our five month old daughter, the long awaited excitement was abruptly ended when we checked into our room. It became quite apparent […] that the second floor was yet to benefit much needed refurbishment, our room if one can descibe it as such, was very tired following years of maintenance neglect. Damaged front door with hole to corridor, niccotine stained armchair, flaking ceilngs, dated bathroom with several broken tiles, unsecured curtain pole with filthy curtains barely hanging and fridge that didn't work, the list goes on! To our disappointment a room change was not possible until the following day which was totally unsatisfactory. We moved to another room on the third floor, which had been refurbished and was acceptable to a standard I would have expected from the very first night. Sadly on night three following a day in the town, we returned to our room to a distinct odour of sewerage, that strong you could taste it. This resulted in another room change, our third in four nights. To conclude, the Mercure Grand Hotel is not a hotel we will consider visting again or indeed recommend. Đọc thêm

I was looking forward to our stop over stay on the last night of our trip to France as I had booked a superior double room with a balcony at Mecure Grand, the website made the hotel look fab. I was bitterly disappointed. There was no valet parking - cars were parked all over the road at the front of the hotel. The reception staff were rude, arrogant […] and stroppy. We were then given a disgusting twin bedroom which looked like it hadn't been decorated (or aired) since the 1970's, with two single lumpy looking beds. When I returned to reception to complain I was barely spoken to, just grunted at and given a new key for another room. This room was, whilst strangely decorated, clean and functional - although had no balcony (but I don't think any of the rooms do). The floor and corridor smelt absolutely disgusting - I can't quite describe it - we had to open the windows in the corridor to be able to breathe. They then tried to charge us 17.50 euros each for breakfast, which although it was fairly good, it was not worth 17.50 euros and this price was not advertised anywhere. I refused to pay for breakfast upon check out which the moody receptionist had to get manager approval for but it was quickly accepted that we shouldn't have to pay. very handy situated for the "cente Ville" if you like walking ( about 1 mile from the centre the leisure facilities are very good and open at realisitic hours however, we found the lack of tea making equipment a let down, and the in house breakfast quite expensive

This was our second trip in a couple of weeks to stay in Le Touquet. Staff were very helpful and the courtesy car service was handy as the hotel is located a good 20 mins walk from the centre of town where the majority of shops, restaurants and bars were.
