The rooms were clean but cramped and old. The TV was broken with no on off switch. The second room had a ceiling leak. I did not see another guest the whole time I was there. I cut my stay short and found another place.

We just stayed a night, but it was great and quiet. We arrived actually earlier than the check-in time and we still were able to get the room, it was great. It's about a 15 minute walk to the Strip. Breakfast is easy and for some people not enough but it's still good.

Simple things like no facial tissue in the room, no exhaust fan for the bath, and the lack of "Do Not Disturb" signs suggest the management doesn't realize how to run a hotel.

I was coming to Vegas to see a show, of course i was running late. No problem Jose gave us a ride within a short walk to the show and all was saved. Very happy with the way we were treated!!

This hotel is old and out dated. Beds and carpet are old and worn out. Breakfast is toast, bagels, cereal, and Folgers coffee.

We have stayed here when it was the Clarion and The Ramada Inn and for a few times with the new owners of Fortune Hotel. This time we noticed that things were not as good as before. The breakfast had watered down juice and not real orange juice. Also no skim milk at breakfast. The breakfast hours now start at 7 a.m. instead of the earlier time. The […] room amenities such as Kleenex, notepad and pen were missing. We still enjoy the free parking and airport shuttle. We also noticed that although there might be two persons behind the counter and people waiting in line, only one person was waiting on those checking in or checking out. "Skip" is a friendly and welcoming employee, and we always enjoy being greeted by her on our arrival. Our grandchildren were disappointed that the swimming pool area was rented out for a large party. It is a just fine place to stay, as long as all you are doing is coming, sleeping, going, and eating cereal in the morning. If this describes you, then do it. If you have any special requests of management, like recieving packages, changing rooms, or anything else like that... or you want eggs in the morning... I'd say go somewhere else. Terrible. Other than a couple of nice employees the staff was terrible. We waited over an hour to check in with only 2 people in line ahead of us. Our room was not what we booked. They told us to come back later for keys, They did not know that we were still there after 2 days even though we had a 4 day reservation-- they thought we had checked out. […] The shuttle driver did not pick us up to take us to the airport but someone else who worked there had to do it, and not even sure he was covered under insurance to drive the shuttle. The desk clerk who checked us out was rude and did not even communicate that we were all set or not before he walked away. The breakfast was not even worth mentioning. They served biscuits and gravy but no gravy was available. The banquet food was terrible absolutely no flavor. A very poor experience. I would not reccommend this hotel to anyone for any reason. We arrived in the hotel after 10pm and got a room which was occupied by other people. So we had to go back to the front desk and wait another 20min to get another room which we didn't like but was the only room left. People in front desk were not very friendly. The location of hotel is not convenient and not in walking distance to the strip. They said […] they have shuttle bus to the strip when I called, but in fact the bus only goes to 3 places. shower drain was clogged. reported to staff but nothing was done. asked for new room, but was told hotel was all booked up. The next day we demanded a new room. even though we we staying 2 more nights, the staff only put on the key cards one night, so we were locked out and staff was not behind counter to help us for over an hour.

Wow, the hotel is a very nice respite from the lights and sounds of the strip. I give it a B+ for a restful place. the first room they have us was dirty, carpet had stains and AC was very loud..second room was better but we had only one set of clean towels and had to wait for the staff to finish washing towels before we could get another set...we never stay there again

Check in was slow - clerk talking with a guest on phone whille I was waiting to check in. Room was nice, clean, comfortable beds, quiet. Cont breakfast was good. Will stay here again.

This is a horror story. We checked in on new years eve. We waited 40 minutes in line. At 4:30 PM we were told that our room is not ready. Many others were told this as well and everyone was waiting. After 2 hrs of waiting in the lobby and asking about the room, we were finally given a room. When I walked up to the room and opened the door with my key, […] I saw that the room already has 2 people inside (a couple)! They were horrified that I was given a key to their room. I went back to the front desk, complained, waited half hr more for another room key. When I walked to the new room, the door was already open. I walked inside, and found the room in a mess from the previous occupant. UNBELIEVABLE. Then we went back to the front desk, angry as ever. They assigned us another room. We went to that room and guess what? There was a whole family occupying the room. They gave us the keys to another room that had people in it! REDICULOUS. During this time, one senior front desk staff starts flipping out with management. In front of everyone. After that, we finally got reassigned the 4th time to a very average room. Ironing board is busted and the door had to be fixed as well. So all in all, 3 wrong rooms and 3 hours of waiting. TERRIBLE . The best part: they didn't comp us anything. Just said that we can get a percentage off of our next stay. Why would we come back!? Btw, I have voice and photo evidence. Paying a higher rate to ensure 2 queen beds usually yields a hotel of good quality. However, this is one comes just a bit short. Overall, it is okay. But, a few small disappointments were: large dry fountain in the lobby(working fountain would have been nice), guests allowed to park in fire lane blocking access to parking, squeaky floors, paper signs […] taped to walls to show where restrooms are, hairballs on room floor of 2 colors, cracked mismatched tiles on bathroom floor, broken lamp switch(broken lamp) and no comment cards for management feedback to make improvements. everything was ok minus the HORRIBLE service I recieved at the front desk . the receptionist had absolutely no people skills and he had the audacity to have me standing there waiting while he answered a personal call on his cell phone. It was absolutely ridiculous. He seriously should be fired. I will never return solely because of him.

We showed up with about 30 people and they didn't have a room for any of us - no help what soever. I thought there would be a riot. Don't ever patronize this place.

This is an older hotel that appears to be under new ownership. It is in a great location just east of the strip. You can park you car and be to your room in 2 minutes. Room size is good. Finishes are a bit dated, but all in all not bad. Many other hotels are priced more competitively.

This hotel did not charge a resort fee which made the price half of most of the Vegas hotels we checked. It's an older hotel so the rooms could use new carpet and some work in the bathrooms. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was quiet. There is a vacant lot and a closed hotel next to this property, but the area seemed safe and well lit.

Decent value for how close to the strip. Pros: Clean, bed was comfortable, staff was friendly, free shuttle, free breakfast with more than just cereal and muffins. Cons: cheap furniture, wifi was spotty, so-so part of town, room needed minor maintenance, SD TV with few channel choices, breakfast quality was fair.

Essential better than adequate. The property is older and clearly need some work - but all things consider, the value is high. My biggest problem or complaint, was the chaotic management and struggles present at the front desk every time it was passed. Had I not prebooked this hotel, I would never have spent the time or effort to find the hotel. I chose this hotel based at the time on its "3.7 star rating" here on hotels.com. Bad service, dirty rooms, extremely unorganized. It took three tries before getting the room I originally reserved with someone not already in it. This hotel is under new ownership and shouldn't be open right now. Pool and gym are closed, there is no sign on the hotel […] except for a temporary vinyl sign hanging in front. Address is hand painted on a wooden board nailed to a planter. Empty dirt lot next door adds to the run-down feeling, as does the closed down fenced and shuttered casino next to it. Needless to say, wouldn't stay here again. We had a lot of troubles finding the hotel because they have changed management recently and the sign on the street is not "Fortune Hotel & Suites" but "Ramada." The distance from the Strip is what made us chose this hotel for New Years Eve and, of course, the cheap price. The room was in much better conditions than what I expected, except for the bathtub […] which had an ugly stain on it. The bed linens were clean and the pillows were great! I didn't like the stain on the carpet around the ice machine either. We stayed two nights and, on the first day, we called the front desk to ask that the housekeeping personnel come to the room after 2pm, after we planned to leave the room. When we came back three hours later we found that no one had come and the trash and dirty towels were still there. We called again but no one came at that time either. We stayed in line waiting for about an hour, mind you there were only about 7 people waiting ahead of us. We had stayed in this hotel last Thanksgiving when it still was Ramada. We were really happy and planed to come back. However, we got so disappointed when we got back this New Year. After we checked in, we entered a hallway which had smell of alcohol. It was so strong that I had to turn my head away. Then I got into my room. The room did not have any […] towels. And because we have 2 children were there with us, my wife requested to change room (actually change building which would not smell alcohol). They changed us to building 1 which is the main building. We were so happy, but the problem did not stop here. The room and the hallway were ok, but the hair dryer did not work. My wife called front desk at least 3 times. They said that they would not check, but noone came. We came to front desk to tell the man there, but still noone came. We did not have anyone change it until 10:00am the next day. We stayed there for 2 nights, but we did not get room service at all. They did not change towels, soaps or anything. The breakfast was not impressive either. Staff was helpless. Not being help for the directions. Breakfast was disappointing. I thought they would have eggs,sausage and juice,but they didn't.
