A few months ago, the Clevelander built a dance floor over half of the pool, and as a result, now the pool is closed. We were given access to a tiny heated pool at the neighboring Essex House hotel, but if the pool is what you are paying for, stay somewhere else. Also the beer and happy hour for guests is actually at the Essex House bar (which is quite […] and seats only about 10 people inside) from 5-7pm on weeknights. If you stay at the the Clevelander, don't get a room next to the elevator as you will hear it engage every time it is used. The Clevelander staff was very friendly and accomodating, and it was nice to walk across the street to the beach. In summary, next time I would stay at the Essex House for $40 less a night, and still get access to the guest happy hour and pool, and walk next door to enjoy the Clevelander atmosphere. Đọc thêm

Service was good, well trained staff. Management needs alot to be desired, the pool was closed for months yet they negelected to mention such an important issue. Also, the rooms have a very cold and sterile feeling with no furnishings, At All! Prepare to live out of your suitcase! Also, the HVAC system was out of control and we froze,. i have been in 130+ countries, so have stayed in many hotels, saying this its beyond my mind how can anyone give recommendation to stay here...unless you want to be awake until 4am as there is open air bar / club as part of hotel with loud music, after 4am until 6am all drunk people shouting and continuing party in rooms... no this is not one off this […] is type of customers this hotel gets. Wardrobe in twin room is size of shoe box, there is no safe box in room and staff is polite but useless. as 33y old male i would not recommend this hotel to anyone else except party goers...everyone else stay away!!!!! The Clevelander was a great hotel with a very accomidating staff. The location is great. Never been to Miami before and did not realize that its more of a party atmosphere. Parking was not included. Excellent location. Hotel was very very very clean. The room was not big, it was more like staying on a cruise ship. But the bathrrom was spotless clean, which is important to me. This place was absolutly amazing I went with friends to celebrate my 34th b-day we had the best time ..... I couldn't ask for anything better I can't imagine staying anywhere else when visiting South Beach...... The hotel appearance was nice and clean. The rooms are very small and no privacy in the bathroom. Wouldn't recommend sharing a room with other people. My one complaint was the noise level. Music level was bumping all night long. It was insanely loud until 5 in the morning. They even give you ear plugs if u complain about the noise. This hotel was clean and modern. It was the party hotel in the area with tons of activities every day. The beach is simply across the street so the location was great!

Nice and clean. Room had no dresser for clothes. Had tp pile your stuff on the bed. No fridge. Room was nice but cramped. If you set at a table you had to order something or you could not set there. Id rate this a top 3 star and is in a superb location.great hotel ,great condition.we stayed in the new part .The only annoying thing i find with miami beach and even the in house restaurant was the automatic inclusion of 18% tip on food orderhinks in the bill called a gratuity.For a start its not compulsory ,tips should be based on service and not […] an automatic presumption and i think 10% is fair which is what we paid .Anything more was for great service which we got on espanola way and we paid 15% there and never questioned it .You have to earn peoples respect not assume it. The clevelander is located at the center of everything, right across from the beach, and a few blocks away from the retail stores. The room are clean, my friends got the room with the ocean view and I got the poolside view. They are just about the same size but I would recommend the poolside. First - preface, we were upgraded to an ocean view room with a balcony which was beautiful. However the room was handicap accessible which makes it a bit strange for those who don't need it (oddly placed, furniture, strange shower without bath, etc). The hotel is an extreme party hotel, the music is loud from 1 PM - 4 AM (they say 5 AM, but I'm pretty […] sure it ended earlier). This is definitely a PARTY TIME hotel! We were not expecting this and thus got little sleep. The parties went on until 2:00 until the music stopped. Ear plugs did not help. Do not check in to this hotel for a night's sleep. Do check in if you want to party until 2:00.

From check in to check out customer service was excellent! Great, fun atmosphere was more than what I expected. For those looking to have fun this is the place to be!

Stayed in the Clevelander for the second year in a rough. Second stay was even better than the first one. The 4th and 6th floor terrace alone are worth the money. If you get the chance to make a wish for your room. Choose the side thats not facing the pool/bar area. Because than, even your sleep will be great. Excellent Staff Nice Room Perfect Location Fun, Trendy, Bar Downstairs We hung out on the roof one night there was a bar and a Salsa DJ and even though my wife and I are not the trendiest people on the planet they made us feel welcome and took great care of us.

We just spent 4 nights at the Clevelander and it was fabulous. I had read reviews saying that service was below par...but that was not the case at all. Service was excellent. The location of the hotel can't be beat. We would go back to the hotel for sure.

My husband and I are middle aged and stayed there as we wanted to be close to the beach...it was the ideal place to stay if you wanted to be close to beach, shops and restaurants.Probably suits the younger people as it is in the centre of the party hotels but we still loved it. Great stay. Made us feel young again!! Thanks.

I liked the hotel very much, the rooms were very nice, clean, spacious enough. They have a great terrace on the 4th floor where you can see all Miami beach, have a drink, lay out in the sun! Place is nice, great location and staff. However if you not into staying up all night do not book here.!!!! They have a DJ till 5 am in the morning outside in the patio dinning area and the other guest (younger) tend to party all night yell and scream down the hallways all hours of the night. . Only come here if you are looking to party. The intention of this hotel is NOT to be a quiet quaint oasis. It is intended to be a party.

Plus: The location is right in the heart of the strip, and the staff was extremely friendly. The valets and porters were able to arrange anything you needed, and the bar staff were pleasant and quick. Downsides: The room was small - opening the door almost hit the bed. We stayed at the Clevelander in July of 2011 for two nights. Upon our arrival we were greeted with welcome drinks from a very friendly member of the staff. Right off the bat everyone was super welcoming & it made us really exited about our upcoming stay. Our room was a little on the smaller side, but everything was clean, well stocked & decorated very […] posh. We heard no noise from all the music outside, so that was comforting to know that we would be able to get a good night sleep even while the party was going on. I must also say that the parking situation (for overnight guests) in south beach is ridiciously expensive, and the Celvelander's parking option saved us a lot of money & they also retreived our car and parked it for us - I would reccomend using this service. Overall we had an excellent stay at the Clevelander. We had been wanting to stay here for year & we're so glad that we were finally able to make the trip over from Oregon & enjoy this hotel. Excellent service. Excellent location. Right in the middle of all the action and everything to see and do.

Right in the middle of the SoBe action. Bit too crazy for my taste and. The hotel was fine except for the fact I could not use their intetnet as it was reserved for "The Rock Star Suite" guests. So it sat there being unused and I was told to go to their sister hotel to use the computer. Come on now.

Clean. Friendly and prompt staff. Location is prime. Even though a club hotel, guest are still first priority. This is the place to stay. Directly across from beach. Shopping next street over. Movie night at Essex. Over all A+

We were very excited to stay at this hotel and once we arrived and they put us in the hotel room it reeked or urine. We told the front desk and they sent cleaning people to our room to freshen it up and when we came back to the room it smelled even more like urine. This hotel was an experience that I have not had at any other hotel and I love to travel. The staff is amazing at making you feel welcome, ensuring you and your party enjoy yourself not only at the hotel but any of the surrounding areas. great hotel at a great location that was fairly priced right on the beach. Service was outstanding and I would definitely stay here in the future.

Had a great time! I go at least once a year and this will be my hotel of choice, great location, staff was great, food is great, club is great and the pool parties ar a blast!

The Clevelander is right in the middle of Ocean Dr accross the street from the beach. The outside bar/club is busy all hours of the day and extra fun into the wee hours of the morning, always a good time and no need to go anywhere else (but you will anyway because it's Sobe). Also has an inside club, a sports bar and two roof top decks with bars. They […] even give free frozen drinks when you check in. Have hung out here many time during past trips to Sobe and finally stayed here on this trip, was a very good choice. Also, happy hour during the week is a real happy hour (4-7pm) with many drinks on the menu at half price and some tasty $5 appitizers. If you are wanting some place to party on South Beach, then this is the spot for you. Right on Ocean Drive and 10th, across from popular Beach area. Hotel has four different bars--a rooftop bar with a nice view, a poolside bar with lots of action, a sports bar and a club on the second floor. The hotel food was good. Short walking distance to many other […] restaurants and clubs. Also within walking distance to Collins, Washington, Espanola Way and Lincoln Road, all great shopping areas. Would definitely recommend if you are looking to socialize and drink. The Clevelander is the ideal destination for 20 somethings that want to bar hop around Ocean drive. Upon arriving at the hotel, we were warmly greeted by the hotel staff, and given a complimentary pina colada, which I found to be a nice touch. The room was small but clean. I only had a problem with the bathroom. There were windows in some awkward parts […] of the bathroom that are not pleasant if someone else is in the room. I was told that they are fixing this problem, but it was my one major problem I had with the room. The Clevelander touts a large list of bars on site, however during the week the pool bar is the only one that is open. The bar is hoppin until about 2-3am, so if you are looking to go to bed before then, you are out of luck. Rates were reasonable for the area, and valet was comparable to local independent lots. If you looking for the classic Ocean drive experience, this is a great place to stay... just don't expect quiet relaxation. Đọc thêm

Billy at the front desk was awesome. He went out of his way to help my friend get a shuttle. Chad the concierge recommended 2 great restaurants. We were in the middle of South Beach; great hotel bar/food and excellent distance from the beach. They really did a good job renovating this hotel. The rooms are chic, the pool scene is awesome any night of the week. If plan on staying here and need quite time ask for a room on the opposite side of the pool. Otherwise good luck trying to sleep. The rooms a bit cramped and there is no desk to work on in the room.
