Comfort Suites Portage - Portage

This hotel was nice, has a large pool and we were pleasantly surprised to find scrambled eggs and sausage available with the standard continental breakfast offerings. We will stop here again to break-up our trips between Chicago and Minneapolis and toss our young boys in the pool.

GReat location for visiting ski areas or Wisconsin Dells. Price is much more reasonable than the Dells. Personnel were all cheerful and welcoming. Pool area and breakfast rooms REALLY clean and large.

My husband and I with our two kids really enjoyed the hotels breakfast and swimming pool. The hotel room was large enough for us and our large suitcases but the room could have been cleaned a little better. I found an old hat and trash under the edge of the beds.

Just wanted a one-night getaway with the kids. This was a great place for that. Very large and nice swimming pool with two hot tubs. Rooms were clean, beds too soft. Would stay again.

We stayed at this hotel when we were traveling to Madison. This hotel is about 40 minutes from Madison, but right off the freeway. Nice place to stay right off the highway on your way where ever you are journeying too! Very comfortable and clean rooms. The night staff is very friendly and helpful!

This was a nice hotel and conveniently located just off the highway. I booked this hotel to also utilize the fitness room, but machines were out of order. Didn't appreciate having nothing available. Breakfast was good.

We drove about 3 hrs for a wedding and arrived before the posted check-in time. There was a room available and we were allowed to check in early, where we could freshen up before the wedding. The hotel was nice, the breakfast was really good and the pool was the largest I've seen in a hotel. Will surely stay here again!

This hotel is near the intersection of three interstates (I-39, I-90 and I-94.) It's not particular near to anything else that I'm aware of? It's perhaps 10 minutes outside of Portage, and perhaps 30 minutes outside of Wisconsin Dells. The hotel itself was absolutely great. The location is ideal for a stopover on a road trip, because it's visible from the Interstate. But there's not much else to do in the area... but, having said that, we'll probably stay here next time we take a weekend in Wisconsin Dells. Everything about the hotel was great - Check-in was quick, the rooms were very clean, the staff were very nice and friendly. Best of all the continental breakfast was wonderful.

....An island in a sea of average(or less) places of lodging. Very comfortable and clean.

We stayed in a room for six adults (all family). -- Cost was reasonable. -- Continental breakfast was excellent. -- Whirlpool next to the pool was a little cool. -- ALAS, THE HIDE-A-BED WAS FLIMSY AND VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. -- Everything else was fine. -- Thank you. Dad from North Dakota

Very nice, large room, great price, could sleep six in the room. Refrigerator and microwave were also nice to have. The breakfast in the am was large and had both hot/cold items to choose from. Comfortable atmosphere.

Was kind of disappointed in the room itself - Bed was uncomfortable, pillows had black hair on them, as well as hair left in the shower. Old TV, older decor... Needs to be updated. Fire alarm went off at 5am, and after my boyfriend and I freaked out, the front desk person informed us that he was just trying to make breakfast... and somehow set off the […] alarm. We loved this hotel for its contemporary, clean, comfortable rooms but yet reasonable price. The room was larger than normal. The beds were extra comfortable with a pillow top mattress. We stayed here for one night. It's got a great location - RIGHT off of 94. Our rooms were spacious and the beds VERY comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was also very good - eggs, sausage, waffles, fruit, pastries, oatmeal, juices. The price thru hotels.com was also great, so all-in-all this one was an A+!

What a very nice option for the Wisconsin Dells resorts if looking to save some money. Very clean and friendly. Only 30 min to exit 87 which isn't bad. I would recommend this property to anyone.

The place was grossly understaffed / The manager and the 3week new employee rude and incompentant. the hotel seemed clean, but the couch was torn and stained. the breakfast was good. I can't tell you how awful the service was

We booked into the Comfort Suites in Portage for a ski weekend at Cascade Mountain. The hotel was minutes away from the slopes, had a great pool and hot tub. Breakfast was great and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to families if travelling in this area.

Great location for access to Wisconsin Dells and Baraboo Circus World, as well as interstates 39, 90 and 94. Clean and comfortable lodging, friendly staff. Large indoor pool.

Hotel is nicely placed right on the HWY exit, but there isn't much around it and it wasn't that great. Room was ok, bathroom shower/tub had hair in it. Pool bottom in need of cleaning.

Very impressed, all around great stay with great customer service.

I liked the hotel overall. What I didn't like was that there was a major storm that came through furing the night and we lost our lights and power to charge phones and use my laptop as well as local phone service. I couldn't call the front desk. I walked down to get my breakfast because the elevator wasn't working. I was asked if my stay was what I […] expected, to which I said yes. However, no one apologized for the inconveince caused by the lack of power, and I thought I would be offered something for the inconveince. I didn't ask for anything because I don't feel it's my responsibility to explain to a customer service representative how to do their job. Excellent Hotel, Swimming pool is larger than normal, The AC unit was a little noisy. Breakfast was great.

We had a 1 bedroom suite, which was very spacious. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. We didn't pay a lot for the room, so we didn't expect much. The hotel staff was friendly and the room was clean. The pool area and game area were clean and well maintained. The continental breakfast was good in general and the waffles were quite good. The hotel is very close to the highway, but noise was not an issue. The hotel is somewhat isolated, so you will need to drive to get food or other services.
