After the hotel we reserved was given away, we found a room here. They were very friendly, helpful, and Very clean.

I arrived 10.10 pm at the hotel because my plane was delayed. I had a voucher for a dinner, but the restaurant had closed at 10pm, so I went to bed very hungry. The bed was fantastic, but the breakfast next morning was very expensive. The hotel was situated outside of Chicago, and there was no life (or food) nearby.

When I first arrived, my reservation wasn't showing as paid. The person at the front desk suggested I check my reservation with this website and my bank account and such. The hotel was fine. The only problem is that we didn't get any room service,. The day room service came it was before 9 am and we were not dressed. They left towel but did not come back to clean. I called housekeeping, got voice mail, left a message but still did not get any room service.

The hotel is nice and in good condition with typical Marriott good service. The location is in a business park and therefore has limited access to restaurants without some driving.

When we booked this hotel via hotel.com we choose an alternative with halfboard included. There were no halfboard at this hotel. When we talked to the hotel manager about it, they told us, that the halfboard alternative only existed on an old webpage, which is not valid any more. Only downside was the slow to open parking lot gate. But I would rather have a secure parking area over a slow gate.

The staff were excellent. The carpets need cleaning in the common hallways. And they need to upgrade their bedding. A decent comforter would have been nice and I had to request a couple of additional mini-pillows.

Marriott Courtyard in Memphis is one of the older Courtyards & rooms feel a little worn. Price was 50% + more than Holiday Inn Express, which had indoor pool & hot tub, was a lot newer & included breakfast. Having lived in Memphis before this experience, I can say that I am familiar with the area. While the neighborhood this hotel is in is not the greatest, the hotel itself was very comfortable. The staff was very helpful and hospitable. The small restaurant was inviting and the food was of good quality. The server offered suggestions that were quite tasty […] and well presented. The room was clean, orderly, and well appointed. I would definitely stay here again. Elevator - only 1 at the back corner of the motel, our room was down 2 long halls, opposite end of the hotel. Lights did not work to show what floor you were going to after pressing button; broken cover on emergency phone; smelly and dirty. Hallway - filthy carpet; 2 huge trash bags sat at the end of our hallway for a full day. Entrance - very nice […] and clean Check in - less than helpful when asking questions but went very smooth. Acted very put out when we asked questions. Property - high iron fence with security gates; need to press button and call with room number and name to get in the lot; not sure of reason for security fencing. Doors - trash can was next to the door so people could prop it open, stand there and smoke in the air conditioned hall and dump their ashes on the sidewalk. Needed to use your room card to get in but most times door was propped open. Ice Machine - downstairs by elevator was broke entire stay. Room - 2nd floor - appeared to be pretty clean except for the gum stuck to the carpet (appeared to be several piles of gum); found Cheetos and candy wrappers when we moved the chair and a huge dust spot so furniture had not been moved in sometime; sheets on one bed had makeup smears on them and appeared to have been slept on; fridge didn't work. Everything with the hotel was very nice, except the noise of the jets in the middle of the night. Of course the hotel name has Airport in it, so as long as one is aware, then that should not be a problem.

I never expected the area to require lock-down (in and out gates) to keep the patrons safe. I didn't stay there 5 minutes as the entire area felt insecure! The gates don't show in any pictures of the hotel that I saw.

Fairly dirty and run-down hotel. Maybe I'm expecting too much, but I would think Marriott would do a better job of managing the cleanliness of their hotel (once you get past the lobby area). There was, what appeared to be, a blood stain on the carpet in the hall. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We did not use public facilities such as the swimming pool, laundry, fitness center, etc. The immediate vicinity lacked desirable dining options and convenience stores, so expect to leave the area when searching for these things.

We were disappointed with our hotel. We made a brief weekend visit to Memphis and called the 1-800 number for hotels.com for assistance in booking a room. We asked for a room downtown with an indoor pool under a certain dollar amount. We ended up in a financial district, a 15-minute drive from downtown with an outdoor pool. This hotel is very close to the Memphis airport and Graceland. It's located about 15-20 minutes from Beale street. The staff was professional and overall the hotel was very clean. When we got there the hotel was under construction and the pool and hot tub were closed. The lobby was also closed and the breakfast was limited because of the construction. But the rooms are nice and the internet was fast. It is close to Graceland and 5 minutes from downtown.

Had a nice stay. Our driver who picked up us at the airport was so much fun!!!!! Upon check in, due to the face lift you're doing to your hotel it was a bit confusing getting to the "check in desk". Once we found our way the staff was awesome and laughed along with us W/R to the construction.. We would stay again.Thank you..

Maybe my fault, but other Mariott Courtyard hotels in my experience give breakfast for free - was surprised to be charged. Desk telephone in the room didn't work. Jacuzzi being fixed.
