This is definitely not a good value hotel! Very old and run down with no phone signal or Internet service in the room. The cafeteria food is not good. I've stayed at holiday inns for half the price and better amenities.

Great location but that's about all to recommend this place. It smells bad all throughout. Carpets musty and worn, windows dirty. Looks like it was once pretty nice, but now . . Yuck!

The hotel needs an update. The people who work in the bar and restaurant area are great and that is a nice place for a quick informal dinner. I am always happy that the hotel has a restaurant when I arrive late - that is a wonderful convenience. Hotel staff very friendly, however first room we were given had mold under the window, second room not the king size bed we reserved, beds were hard as a rock, fan in bathroom did not work and wallpaper peeling off the walls. The Millennium Hotel in Durham is fine, We were there because it is close to Duke University and as far as convenience and price it can't be beat. Unfortunately, the property is in need of upgrading. This place is well past its prime and is not maintained very well. The room looked like it had not been dusted in 6 months. The carpet had big spots on it and looked disgusting. The walls had cracks. The front desk manager was very nice. She let me inspect the room before I checked in (I did this based on mixed reviews on line). The room was very clean, but then when I returned to the front desk to say I will take the room, she upgraded me to a room on the 4th floor (executive floor) and this room had granite counters in the bathroom, while the […] first room I saw did not. Overall, hotel was really nice. Staff very friendly and helpful. Only complaint is that we not only was there no wifi, we had no service on our phones and tablets. In today's digital world, it is critical that the hotel address this issue and provide wifi to their patrons.

I had a very nice, three-night stay at the Millennium Durham Hotel, and it was perfectly adequate for my brief business trip. The staff was exceptional and very nice, and I had to extend an extra day and that was no problem. My room was nice and spacious, and the hotel was well situated right on the Duke campus, and very accessible to the highway and […] roads leading to the airport and to Chapel Hill, although it's short drive to restaurants and the downtown area. The hotel itself was not a glamorous one; I believe Millennium purchased an independent and is in the process of branding it, so some parts of the hotel were a bit older looking and less sleek and modern, but that was perfectly fine. There was a daily wireless charge (a small amount per 24 hours), and breakfast was not included, but parking was free. There was a nice indoor pool with a hot tub and a fitness area, and while I did not try the restaurants they were certainly packed every time I walked by. We were in town for a break from work, extra sleep and to see our children. They joined us twice for a swim at the pool which was great! I loved the wired internet in the room as I brought my desktop because I like internet over TV. At the club level breakfast was included and a 2pm check-out which worked for us. We enjoyed our stay.

Got this room for my daughter who is at Duke. She needed a weekend away from the dorm life to rest. Excellent place. She felt very safe, loved the room and the front desk person was very helpful. Thank you Auxie! They also have shuttle service for $5.00 which was very convenient. They came to get her and she came back to the campus on Saturday for an […] event so that worked out really well. I was in town for a Duke basketball game. It is possible to walk to the campus from the hotel; we had a beautiful day and weren't pressed for time. Stephanie at the front desk was wonderful. Her personality and knowledge of the area helped us get around.
