Super 8 Motel - Wichita/East Kellogg Area - Wichita

Obviously you are not looking for something super fancy if you go to the Super 8, but I found it to be alright. The staff were all extremely friendly. My only problem was that I seemed to have the only room with no window A/C unit (unless it was hidden somehow), and it was very warm and humid in my room. I was happy.wish it had hot tub in room

The staff was super friendly and the room was clean. The breakfast was sufficient and there were several items to choose from. I highly recommend this Super 8 location.

Clean room, but bed was hard and uncomfortable. I felt the price didn't match the quality of the room.

One pleasant surprise: a ceiling fan in the room! This was a last minute reservation and we chose the hotel based on price and convenience to the highway.It was a quick stop, but it met the need, and breakfast was included.

We stayed at the Super 8 while on a roadtrip. I would recommend it to friends. It was clean. The room was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful. They were able to tell us where the closest McDonalds/Burger King with a playplace was located so the kids could burn off some energy.

The accomodations were fine. We were not in the room very long, as we were shopping. There was little noise and was easy access for us. We will be back.

The Super 8 was what I expected for a Super 8 until it was time to settle in for the night. Unfortunately, I choose double beds -- my bad, but that was my mistake --- until my husband and I crawled in for the night and contantly rolled toward the middle. I want to say a specific thank you to Grant who worked the desk on Monday, December 12th!! He was so helpful when the heater conked out after 15 minutes and helped us get into another room quickly. He was so friendly and willing to help out and I want his superiors to know what a gem they have in him!!!

Truly my worst experience staying in a hotel! Doesn’t really matter if you get a smoking room or not, they all smell of heavy smoke. When I got in my room the smell of smoke was just unbearable, the shower was totally filthy, and there was still feces in the toilet! I changed rooms and the staff didn’t seem to care why. Very nice people. Good location near Interstate and shopping and food. A bit difficult to find the entrance as it should have a lighted sign. The room was clean though not plush. It is a budget hotel after all. I had everything I needed: a good night sleep in a firm bed, a simple breakfast and easy access back to the freeway.

Booked it for the price plus the fact they serve a breakfast and could get a smoking room. It was very nice for the price and the service was great!

The front desk clerks were friendly & helpful & were able to recommend restaurants that had received favorable reviews before. There were people on the sidewalk by guests' vehicles who appeared homeless & didn't leave where they were sitting for some time. The parking lot could use brighter lighting.

The property looks dated and not appealing...not at all looks like the pictures shown on website. The inside smells like a "bowling alley"...smokey and musty. So was the room...nasty! The hall ways are dark and dated. The breakfast and breakfast area look uncleaned. We were suppose to be in a non-smoking floor and room, there are posting of "no smoking". […] During our stay, there were clearly violation of rules & policies for no smoking, but management did not care, even after being told about the situation. The help was friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. I will return to this Super 8 the next time I'm in Wichita. The only complaint I have is that the vending machine breakfast area is broken and has been a long time.

The hotel air didnt work and It reaked of Cigarettes

This was one of the absolute best hotels I have ever stayed in. Service and hotel staff was the greatest. Will definitely stay here again when I come back!

This is a terrible hotel to stay in. It was filthy and so dirty. We had to go to WalMart to get a blanket to lay on so we did not have to touch the nasty sheets. I prepaid for the hotel with hotels.com, they gave it a 2 star rating. If this is what hotels.com calls a 2 star hotel, I will never again trust them. Hope the cleaning crew speaks English, hard to communicate

I have stayed at this hotel before, and decided to come back due to the low price and good location for my business needs. During this stay, I was very unimpressed with the cleanliness of the room. Considering the frequent turn-over of guests, I figure the bathtub would receive more cleaning than necessary. What I found, however, was that the bathtub […] drain was full of hair to the point that the water wouldn't drain. It obviously hadn't been cleaned in quite some time for that amount of hair to accumulate. This hotel still offers smoking rooms and each time I have visited (3 nights total), I have woke up in the morning to halls smelling of cigarette smoke. If the smoking and non-smoking rooms are separated, there's no way I would be able to tell based upon the air quality when leaving my room. Breakfast is ok, they offer waffles, boiled eggs, cold cereal, oatmeal packets, coffee, juice, milk, yogurt, bread and I think bagels. I loved the hotel it was verry clean and nice inside loved it

My husband I stayed her for a business conference in a nearby town. Location is convenient right off main highway, easy to find. Room was clean, no smells. We were only there to sleep, it served that purpose perfect.

This place hasn't been kept up and stinks of cigarette smoke. The rugs are worn out and the decor is 1970s rec-room. To their credit, the rooms were comfortable and the complementary breakfast was pretty good. So, no major issues, but you can certainly do better for the same price.

Clean and nice breakfast. Good overnight lodging for business. It seemed to be serving a lot of truckers.

I have never stayed at a Super 8 before so I was a little nervous about this place because it was so cheap. I read alot of the reviews and most of them were ok so at $55 a night I went ahead and booked. We had a nonsmoking king room on the 3rd floor. Upon checking in to our hotel room on Friday night, we were greeted by a welcome smile by the lady behind the counter. She was very friendly. We arrived in our room (a queen bed) finding out to be a quite small room (of course you get what you pay for). Great hotel for an overnight stay. Close to the car dealerships and shopping in a quite part of the city. The staff was even courteous enough to call and let me know that my lights were on.

I was thoroughly impressed with the cleanliness of the room. Although I only stayed one evening. The evening staff was absolutely wonderful. He helped me get checked in swiftly and within minutes of my arrival I was comfortably in my room . Best service I've experienced in I don't know how long. It's a plcae where folks who can't afford a lot can still get a clean comfortable room and top treatment.

Hard to find Shower bar not attached and one could easily fall in shower

The hotel was ok for the price. However, the air conditioner wasnt working correctly and when I called the front desk no one answered. I ended up unplugging the whole thing. There was also quite a bit of drunken revelry outside in the parking lot at about two am, which made it impossible to sleep.There did not appear to be an elevator and this hotel […] was 3 levels. We stayed here when there was some big festival in town--who knew? the staff was on hand and available to assist in any way. They were so helpful! Great staff

Building condition appeared to be okay, although room condition is fair. Bathroom's sink and bathtub appeared to be old but kept clean enough. The "motel" smell is quite noticeable when we entered the room the first time. Building location is convenient and easy to find. Neighborhood is okay but I kept seeing a few loiterers around the building.
