Hotel Arcadia Belmondo Novum Hamburg Hauptbahnhof - Hamburg

The Arcadia Belmondo Hotel was in a good location for us, only 5 mins walk from Hamburg Hauptbahnhof (central train station), the staff were pleasant and the rooms were clean. The rooms being clean was the best I could say for them, they had no tea / coffee making facilities, the shower door did not close properly and the pillows (only one each provided) […] were like laying on a pancake. Also the double bed was pushed up against a wall so you could only get out one side or the end! There was what looked like a complimentary bottle of water in the room but only when I had opened it did I see the price tag! Beware! There was no main light in the room which is not the end of the world but slightly annoying and there were light switches and sockets on the bedhead - easy to catch your head on when reading! Also one of the rooms didn't have a mirror in the room, only the bathroom - again not a major concern but inconvenient. The breakfast was not worth the cost for us but was passable. The selection was cereal, ham & cheese, scrambled egg with sausage in, yogurt (in large bowls not individual portions) and bread rolls with assorted jams, butter etc... To me, for the price they were charging, croissants / pastries, muffins, fresh fruit etc.. should have been included. The bar in the hotel served a selection of drinks and cocktails, a nice place to relax after a day sightseeing, but could take ages to get your drinks - one order took 20 mins for 2 rum and cokes and it was not busy! I booked a single room. Very strangely, there were 3 beds in the room. Anyway, it was a good clean room with good hotel service. The reception staff were very helpful at check-in and at all times whenever i needed any info to make my trip easier. NB: there wasn't a mini frig in the room.

The hotel itself is fine. We thought that 7.50 euro for breakfast is a bit steep, but compared to other hotels in Hamburg the room cost was relatively low. The location is about a 15 minute walk from the station, but there's really nothing much of interest surrounding the hotel itself. Party of 5 people, two double and one single room. All rooms spotless and cleaned daily. Bar was closed for what seemed like renovations. For the price the Hotel is great. Perfect location for the main station. Breakfast at e7.50 is not the best value for the very basic nature of it. Overall though I have no complaints at all. The hotel is good value […] for money. not good. The front office staff were not helpful. For 2 nights i walked 10 minutes for dinner, because both times the staff did not know there was an Asian restaurant not even 50 meters away! How bad is that!!!

The area is a bit out of the way but not a bad walk from central station. The neighborhood didn't have much to offer in the way of restaurants. The only real problem I had was that the beds for a double were two mismatched singles pushed together. Nice hotel. Not 4 stars, but 3½. Breakbast service was bad. Only one person to service 30 guests. must wait 15 minutes for a clean table. Overall good to the price.

Sorry - but in spite of clear demands of two non-smoking rooms, there were an annoing odour of sour cigarette smoke in both rooms.

small rooms, shabby lobby / reception area, hotel needs to be remodelled! Staff is not well informed ("Sorry, I just came here", "I don't know if there is a bus plan"). The big plus is the location close to the main-station (8-min. walk) and there is also a bus nearby.

Nice hotel located a short 10 minutes walk from citycenter with the main railwaystation and shopping streets. The hotel's immediate surroundings are a little sad, but that is clearly outweighed by the good location. Everything was super clean and neat. Room was conveniently furnished with 2 single beds that could easily be pushed together to form a […] "double bed". The hotel does not offer rooms with double beds. The hotel has its own parkingspace which costs 8 euro ekstra pr. 24 hours though. The staff was friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. Breakfast, which however was not included in the roomprice but cost 12.30 euros extra per. person consisted of a large and well-stocked buffet. The 12.50 euro was in our opinion well spent. This hotel was very good value for us as it was relatively cheap for a two night stay and we are fit enough to walk the considerable distance required to get anywhere. It is quiet and clean and we were very satisfied with the room. Sadly check-in and check-out were fairly stressful. I felt that the hotel were desperate to get more money from us and […] despite considerable discussion at check-in regarding no breakfast, one parking space for one night only, etc. attempts were made to charge us for breakfast and for parking that we had not used. Hotel is very clean if somewhat spartan. Beware that a single room comes with a cot sized bed, narrower than a standard American twin size. This is not a criticism of the hotel, though, as this is not uncommon in Germany. The neighborhood could seem a bit creepy because it's practically deserted at night. However, your alternatives nearby are the roach […] motels in the seedy streets nears the central station, so at least this one is clean and quiet. If your evening plans are taking you out in the St. Georg neighborhood, this hotel is very close by and convenient. If you'll be spending your time in St. Pauli / Reeperbahn, then better to look for a hotel over there because this one would be a quite far. I was meeting two colleagues, one from Sweden and one from Denmark in Hamburg to secure a deal with a client from Argentina. While not expecting the most luxurious Hotel for the price we are all accustomed to the quality synonymous with a 4 star rating. We were all very disappointed with this hotel. In fact on arrival before even going inside we agreed […] that we had to find another hotel for our client to stay in before he arrived. Various websites mentioned that Wifi was available in the rooms. This is technically correct as there is a local provider who charges per hour if you can get a room close to the router on each floor. The speed is hopeless and connection intermittent. There is a free access computer in reception but is hopelessly slow and the connection interrupted. We had all booked a room with single occupancy as we were each travelling alone. Never before have I stayed in a 4 star hotel where single occupancy means a very small single bed in a room too small to accomodate anything larger. Having said that I must agree that the room was clean and everything functioned correctly. The Restaurant area was small but adequate and the breakfast was ok. Location is fairly close to the centre and perhaps 10-15 minutes walk from the train station. The area is not great. We found many drunk and homeless people loitering beneath bridges and alleyways that you need to navigate to walk into the centre or just to the train station. All in all I think if we had booked a 3 star hotel we would have accepted that it just about qualified, but for a 4 star, in my opinion not even close. Đọc thêm

Sehr leicht vom Hauptbahnhof zu Fuß zu erreichen (ca. 15 Minuten, wir sind ein älteres Ehepaar ). Das Hotel liegt an einer viel befahren Straße, bei Wärme offenes Fenster, ist also nicht. Dafür aber mit Klimaanlage. Sollte also auch im Sommer kein Problem sein. Das Bettzeug wurde bei unseren 3 Übernachtungen nicht gewechselt. Dafür war die Sauberkeit […] im Zimmer und im ganzen Hotel nicht zu beanstanden.Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Vi havde et godt ophold, kun 1 overnatning i 2 værelser, vi betalte for morgenmad da vi ankom, da vi kom ned næste morgen, sagde de at det kun var på vores ene værelse at morgenmaden var betalt :). Vi havde en længere snak, som endte med at vi måtte betale IGEN. Øv øv for ellers et godt og hyggeligt hotel. Så bed om kvittering for betalt morgenmad! […] ! Đọc thêm

L'extérieur ressemble un peu à un quartier défraîchi. Mais le quartier très calme pour dormir. L'intérieur de l'hôtel est assez classique et tout à fait conforme à ce que l'on peut attendre pour un hôtel business. Parfais donc pour qui n'a pas l'intention de vivre dans la chambre.

Das Hotel is sehr schwer zu finden und befindet sich in einer unheimlich grauen, traurigen Gegend ohne was sehenswertes in der Umgebung, die auch keine gute Cafés oder Restaurants anbietet. Der Service ist sehr schlecht, besonders von der Rezeption (insbesondere ist der junge Herr, der dort arbeitet, sehr unfreundlich sowie unfelxibel!!). Ich bin schon […] um 10 Uhr am Hotel angekommen, wurde aber von diesem männlichen Rezeptionist auf unfreundliche Weise vermahnt, dass ich auf keinen Fall früher als 14 Uhr einchecken konnte, obwohl es ein Montag Vormittag war und die meisten Wochenendegäste schon abgereist waren!!
