Park Central Hotel - Fort Worth

The furniture was old, beds hard, absolutely NO extras. They had already switched the air conditioning to cold... It happened to be 32 degrees outside, and no warm air. We finally got blankets. There's a bar under the hotel which plays live music till late... No sound barriers... Very loud, cold and uncomfortable. The staff was the only saving grace.... […] At least they were nice. OK, for the price, never was able to hook up to the internet, I could hardly move around in the room, too crowded. TV was very old, CRT type of TV, Had to move the TV enclosure to be able to see the TV while sitting at the desk.

The staff was great, as was the location. The room was dirty, the shower was gross, and the vending machines were out of water. I was told just to walk a couple of blocks and I could get some at another hotel. Definitely wouldn't recommend.

I was surprised that my room was a two room suite. It worked out perfect for my conference. What luck I had in securing the room. Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. I recommend this hotel for those looking for location and price!

I chose this hotel because I'm a college student with limited funds and it was the cheapest in the downtown area on Hotels.com. It's a good location with potential, but it was the most uncleanly hotel I've ever stayed in. The bathroom had some dark liquid splashed on the walls that wasn't cleaned before, during and (presumably) after my 2 night stay. […] I found more than one long black hair complete with follicle neatly folded into towels and tucked into bed with me. There was also fun dust bunnies to play with, for which I'm glad my daughter wasn't there to get into. There was even a used bandaid next to one of the beds. Staff was friendly. Hotel was just...dated. I can't complain - the cleanliness of a room is the most important thing to me and my room was fine. The rest was mostly cosmetic. The only other negative is that the room doors are on the perimeter of the building so you can get a lot of street noise which may be a problem if you are a light sleeper.

The Hotel is old, but that was why the price is much lower the other convienet Hotels in the area. It was better than I expected after reading the reviews. I would stay there again for the convience. I was there only one night. They said they had wifi. I could only get the wifi in the lobby.

All rooms open to the outside. The left side of the hotel faces an alley and they business next door works ALL NIGHT LONG! It is very loud. I had to move the next night to the other side. There you hear horn honking all night. The rates are good, but if you need a good nights sleep this is not the place you want.

I stayed here for several days while on business recently. The shower water has a funny smell to it and constantly goes between hot & cold. The location is very noisy as well if you are on the Houston street side. The room looks like it needed to be remodeled about 10 yrs ago. we had an event across the street at the convention center so the location was perfect. Rooms were ok as we were only there really to sleep and get ready. one draw back is no breakfast or even coffee which is bad with a 5 year old. I do plan on staying there next year though.

We had booked 2 rooms with 2 doubles and received 2 rooms , one with a king. The hotel was booked full so one of us had to sleep on the floor.

Old hotel with no a/c conditioning after mid-October! This was ridiculous... In Texas, unless it's 30 degrees outside, the heat is not necessary, yet this hotel works on one system- either A/C or Heater. (not both- I'd never heard of such a thing!!). So, for my stay, Oct 20, 2012, the hotel already had the heat on. Awful! It was hot and humid throughout […] the night, are there are no large windows to open in the rooms. My pet peeve with hotels is their inability to deliver promised internet service. Although this hotel was accomadating and moved me to another room that did have internet. Reception staff very helpful, especially in making calls when my Super Shuttle to the airport let me down. Hotel good value and in an excellent position for downtown Fort Worth, whilst easy walking distance from the Trinity railway station.

This hotel was a real surprise. Tremendous value for the price. It is an old early 1960"s Holiday Inn that has been converted. They can't do much about the design of the building which is just old. However, it is very well maintained and the rooms (but not the halls due to the design) are extremely clean. For a hotel built in the 1950's it was OK & a short walk to nice restraunts & our meeting. Disturbing seeing a large bug on the floor in the room & not cleaner overall.
