Breakfast was warm and tasty with a large variety from which to select. The room was clean and comfortable. Had to wait at the front desk to check in.

This is our first stay at this hotel, we normally stay at the Sheraton across the street, but decided to give the holiday in a shot. It is a nice clean hotel, pool is good and service is very friendly. I would have given it all 5's except the front door made a horrible loud screeching sound every time it opened, so all night long it sounded like someone […] was killing a bird outside our room, the toaster was broken at breakfast, and the room doors don't close properly behind you, so if you don't double check, all you have to do is push and they will open. Overall, I would stay at this hotel again. However, for higher future ratings, I would recommend Management do the following: (1) Clean out the AC/Heat vents (2) Improve the water quality ( it has a slimy feel ) (3) Improve the noise-level between rooms; for example, I could hear the water running each time the guest in the room above me showered, flushed […] the toilet, etc. -- it sounded like a "small" waterfall was running behind the walls by my bed. Very happy with the hotel. The breakfast was better than average for this style of hotel. Staff kept the food topped up with hot and fresh refills. Great value for the money.

The air quality in the hotel was not good. We woke up each day unable to breath our sinus's were so bad. The pillows and beds were not comfortable. The hotel was clean, the breakfast was good and the staff extremely helpful.

We enjoyed our stay from check in through check out. The kids loved the pool time (eventhough us older ones thought it was a little chilly), it was moments away from dinner choices and the breakfast was awesome! All 7 kids in our group and adults found something that they loved!

Hotel was great. I was unsure when I read some reviews but overall had only 1 issue... No frig or microwave in my room. Other then that it was great. I hate hotels but had a good experience here.

Angel at front dest was wonderful and very helpful. Fitness Ctr. good condition. Room huge on corner of lower floor, loved it.

We were going to Air zoo so this was close. The front desk staff was helpful with maps and general info. Breakfast buffet was good but staff did not speak English well. Room was fine.

The service desk person was not very nice and didn't listen. The pancake machine was broken in the morning for breakfast and the pool was closed in the morning.

Too expensive for the area. The hotel was small with limited amenities. The fitness center was closed due to broken equipment. The breakfast was good; however, there were no forks so it made eating our pancakes difficult.

Great little hotel in a not so great neighborhood & location. Friendly staff, easy check-in, great breakfast, nice clean updated room, plenty of parking, (we didn't try the pool) BUT! Our room overlooked the highway with the constant roar of traffic, even on Sunday morning. Didn't make for a good night's sleep. The HI Express is also located "on the […] bad side of town" according to locals - a very industrial section of Kalamazoo. We found this out after the fact. My husband is a runner, and always does a long run from whatever hotel we stay at - not this time! Pretty sketchy neighborhood - definitely NOT walking friendly either (like walk to dinner, walk to shops). Note: the hotel does have a treadmill in their fitness center, so husband made do. It's too bad the chain didn't locate this hotel in a more pleasant neighborhood, would have made it almost perfect, but perhaps the convenience of being right on the highway was the deciding factor. I would suggest try for a room overlooking the parking lot away from the noise, and figure that you'll go everywhere by car, not walking. Đọc thêm

The doors to the hotel would not shut causing the floor's to be very slippery, they mopped the floor and it turned to ice. instead of putting more rugs out to solve the problem. After telling them i fell, they said "alot of people fell" we are sorry, they next day as we checked out they put signs on the doors and they still were not fixed and no carpet […] placed on the tile floor! My stay over the holiday weekend was dissappointing because they decided to repaint the interior of the pool and claimed they could not contact me to inform me the pool would be closed. The fact there was a pool was the reason I booked the room there in the first place. The website also claimed there was a microwave, fridge, and dvd player in each room, […] which there was not. The bed was a bit hard and the plug in our tub did not work. I look forward to my nightly bath and the plug's seal was off. Room and hotel were clean and breakfast was decent.

Hotel was comfortable and clean. Nice sized room. Lobby, room, and hallways were clean. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choices and not too crowded. The only complaint was that it was a little loud, could hear people in the hallways, etc. Not so bad that I wouldn't stay again. Close to the colleges.

King room was soooo comfortable. I am a very picky hotel person...... the room was clean and so was the hotel. Recently renovated. Staff was helpful as well. The breakfast was not too great, but it is free. About a $15 cab ride to downtown kalamazoo. Right off the highway.

Great time at this hotel. They were under construction and it still was nice. The morning breakfast area was a little crowed and busy, but you can't really control that.

overall - good stay The room was clean. Looked like new. Would have like sink area separate from bathroom like many other hotels. Not happy with desk service on check out. No one at front desk but heard laughing behind wall. Needed to call twice.

The room was not what we expected from the online description. The description said the room would have 2 queen beds, a sofa bed, DVD Player/TV, refrigerator, etc. The room actually had 2 queens beds, a TV and a small table with 2 chairs and no refrigerator. We did like the indoor pool and the continental breakfast.

Nice and clean. Comfortable room with good service. Breakfast and accomodations were good. My only suggestion, room darkening curtains that actually close. Our room faced the freeway and the sheer window coverings did not block the lights. The decorative curtains were decorative only.

I make frequent trips throughout the Spring, Summer and Autumn to the Kalamazoo area and this was my first occasion to stay at this particular hotel. The lobby is on the small side, but quiet, clean and smells very nice. The front desk clerk came quickly to my assistance and our check-in and check-out was seamless and fuss-free. Only two things that […] were a bit of a negative for me, and it's only because I am a very picky person. One, the toilet paper was almost completely out in the bathroom. Two, the in-room coffee pot was broken--the light did not come on when I pressed the ON button, and only about 1/8 of the water I put in it actually made it into the small carafe...it didn't leak or anything, it just disappeared. Other than that, my friend and I were very comfortable, the pillows were awesome and I slept very well. OH! One more thing...we were almost at the very end of a hallway and I'm not sure what we were next to, but I came awake about 5am (not an early riser!!!) to a loud banging noise that sounded like they were moving washing machines down a staircase. Also, breakfast downstairs had all the basics and everything tasted fresh...I think this can go for all hotels when I say, though that breakfast times could go a little later into the morning. 6am to 9:30am is not a wide enough window for everyone. It was odd when we arrived & were not greeted by anyone from the hotel until we rang a bell. The room appeared okay at first, but we later found an exacto knife on the floor of our room & candy wrappers behind the night stand. We felt these were things the cleaning staff should not have missed. The girl at the desk offered us another room, but we weren't […] sure it would be any better than the one we were already in. The cleaning staff really was not doing their job. They didn't seem to be getting all the hair & crumbs off the bathroom floor & there was what looked like uncleaned black marks in the shower.
