Best Western Plus Poway San Diego Hotel - Poway

This hotel was very clean and the hot breakfast was amazing. Poway is a great place to visit with lots of great places to eat a shert walk from hotel. Staff is very effecient and friendly. Room was as described and very clean. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit. Definitely visit the Blue Frog pub and grill on your stay.

The room was clean and comfortable. We stayed three night, the first night was quiet, second and third was not but that was because of noisy guests above us. The breakfast is good, fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs and sausage, toast, dry cereal, make-yourself waffles. Didn't use the Wi-Fi. Over all it was a nice place.

Not very posh but quite friendly. For the price, I thought it was a good value and reasonably close to North County haunts.

While an older motel it was none-the-less a very pleasing stay. Motel was easily located, clean, knowledgeable and pleasant staff. Included breakfast was excellent. Rooms in back were quiets despite motel location. Would definitely stay again, good value for the dollar.

1) Gave me a different room than I booked and claimed no other rooms were availible. 2) Non polite staff. 3) Neighbor noise thru paper thin service door between rooms, hard to sleep. 4) AC made thump noise every 10-15 minutes, hard to sleep. I guess just bad luck getting a bad room but I'd never stay at this place again

This was absolutely the worst Best Western I have ever seen. First, I smelled urine just before checking in, The front desk man was rude. Plus it was cold outside ad he had the door open. I looked in the breakfast area, it looked so old. The photos on the net are not at all the same as seeing the Hotel for yourself. Also,there is no place to walk in […] the room, it is so crowded with big old furniture and Tv. The bathroom is small as the tiles are not clean. A clean, comfortable handicapped room. I wish it had a walk-in shower instead of tub/shower combination. Only there for 1 night, but enjoyed our stay. Great breakfast and courteous desk help.

Nice place to stay, Welcoming ckin in no time, Very good full breakfast. Prompt Service about cleaning the room. The beds were wonderful. Would definitely stay there again. The staff were more than friendly and helpful.

Had a last minute business trip. The hotel was close to my business location. Very clean establishment. Also it was a very friendly staff ... even at 5am. Poway is a nice nice city However, the internet connectivity was lacking. I lost my connection so many times, then it never came up again.

They were very prompt about cleaning the room and the beds were wonderful. Would definitely stay there again although it was a little distance from the airport. The staff were more than friendly and helpful.

This was our second time staying at this hotel. Our room was clean, the free breakfast was one of the better hotel breakfasts. The hotel personnel were friendly. The queen bed was more like a double bed, but besides that everything was fine.

I suggest you put weatherstripping at the entrance doors to avoid draft coming inside the room. You save energy this way. Also I would like to compliment your front desk personnel Imelda and Milan who were very courteous and helpful in ensuring that I have what I need and was settled comfortably in my room.

It was in a convenient location and was a good price for the area. I was in town for business for 3 days and stayed there. The staff was very friendly. The hotel was older, but clean. I have no problem recommending this hotel. The breakfast was above average for this level of accommodation.

good, clean and safe place to spend a night. king size bed very comfortable, bathrooms with granit backsplash , wifi very efficient good coffee, full breakfast included

Arrived earlier than anticipated and very helpful desk clerk allowed us into our room. Our special request was granted. Another staff member recommended Brigantine restaurant, within walking distance. It had excellent food with attentive staff and included a free starter thanks to a coupon handed to us at the hotel. Wi-fi in room was included but I […] was allowed use of the hotel's computer and printer for an important document. Good, plentiful variety of breakfast items which were continually checked. We booked this room mainly based on economics. We were extremely pleased and pleasantly surprised to find that quality was not sacrificed because of the lower price. Very comfortable and clean. It is on the main street but it was very quiet. It also included breakfast which is usually a choice of stale doughnuts. Room was nice and clean, bed was com, pillow suck bring your own. about 5 miles east of 15 fwy.

Just a step up from a Motel 6.

We spent 1 night here to attend Thanksgiving dinner with our daughter and for the money it was a good value. The only real complaint was the bed was old and uncomfortable. We are a bit older and spoiled I admit but the mattress felt like it was as old as us. Other than that it was clean and served the purpose well.

First off - most importantly - we found a used syringe in our room. That alone earns this hotel a 1. When we first arrived, the front desk clerk was very friendly, but the hotel experience went downhill from there. Booking using my mobile Hotels.com app didnt give me the option to change the number of people staying in the room, which when we got there […] resulted in an additional fee of $20. One key was coded for one room and the other was coded for the neighboring room despite the fact we only got one room. This made a difference when 2 of us went out to get a beer and some food while the other 2 took their keycard and went to the room. When we got back they werent in the room and couldnt figure out why. We woke up the next morning to the maid entering our room while talking to our friends about how they shouldnt have been in the room they ended up in. My friends did stay in the wrong room but the hotel's mistake was what caused it, and we couldnt find them before the mornign to rectify the issue. The hotel decided to run my card for the additional room without my consent after checkout. So as a summary, they mess up, charge me for their screwup, and there was a syringe on the floor. Hotel was very clean,quiet and the staff very friendly,breakfast bar was nice also. Would stay there again.

Overall comfort level was ok. Had requested non-smoking but the staff said there was nothing available and gave me smoking room. After checking the room out, I came out and complained that the odor was too strong and I have trouble breathing. THEN he gives me a non-smoking room... but now comes the worst part.. that room still had the smoky smell.. […] but it wasn't that bad and was too tired to go back and ask for something else so I compromised. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast bar always had fresh fruit, coffee, bagels ect. Room was clean and comfortable, only downfall was the fridge did not seem to say cold enough and the things stored inside the ice box would eventually get soggy. One of the neighboring rooms must have been a smoking room b/c the bathroom constantly had the lingering […] smell of cigarettes (this was a non smoking room). I was okay with the location of the hotel. It was in a nice comfortable small town called Poway. The problem I had with the hotel was that there was absolutely no sound barrier from the outside or next door room to mine. When I first got in the room, my girlfriend and I could hear the room next to us eating from a bag of chips and anytime ANYBODY walked […] on the 2nd floor it sounded like someone was stomping as loud as they could. REALLY?! To add to the noise, who needs an alarm clock when there were kids and parents running around all morning shouting at each other and I could hear everything as if they were standing in my room. I have stayed at this hotel twice. Everything is typical. Nothing really bad or good. The only issue that I have is that both rooms that I had smelled like cigarette smoke. I got the impression that the rooms are just really old and the smoke smell is permanent.

Why not have yogurt available every morning instead of only 4 days a week!

The room was supposed to be a non smoking but it was smelling the cigarest all over. Not satisfied at all because of that. Will not return.

A bit off the track - 5 miles from the freeway. Otherwise excellent service and value.

nothing fancy, just sort of a "road stop", but everything was fine overall. If you are just looking to sleep, on your way somewhere, then it's a good bet, but I would not consider it a "vacation" hotel. It's right by a busy road, and there's much much as far as facilities.
