This hotel was an excellent deal - clean with friendly staff, a microwave, fridge, coffee maker and a flat screen tv. We stayed on the back side of the hotel so the traffic and train noise didnt bother us at all. My only complaint was that the continental breakfast wasnt set out at all, and no one was at the front counter when we went to grab something... […] I didnt ring the bell to see if they could bring anything out as we were in a hurry, although I am sure they wouldve served us quickly... but I shouldnt have to ask for anything when it is offered. Hotel well outside Kamloops township and there was not public transport whatsoever. When we disembarked from the train, this was 10km north of Kamloops and Valleyview Lodge was a further 10km southwards. Lack of access to any transport created problems. Would not recommend the use of this hotel/motel againl.

Very happy with the cleanliness of the room, friendliness of the front desk person, and the near-by restaurants. Will definitely stay again next summer.

Close to Princess Auto, that was a bonus as I like shopping there when in a town that has one. My room had a very small bathroom, a low shower head, and a shallow tub. I am 6 ft tall and had to crouch under the shower on my first night, so second night thought I might as well take a bath instead, But the tub was small also... The breakfast was a muffin […] and coffee. The bed was firm and I have a bad back, but I never woke up feeling so good, Thanks to the bed, now I know what kind of bed I need! The staff where great and the price was cheap. If one has to get a cot for an extra person, I recommend to watch your toes, as I stubbed my pinky toes all to many times on the big wheels on the cot that stick out. Just needed a hotel for a night's sleep. This fit the bill and was clean, quiet and no fuss, no muss. Don't expect anything special but all the essentials are there.

Basic Motel, clean, shower did not work in our room. Only one person doing check-in, maintenance and all other functions it seems. Left without a shower!

This is dirty motel and unfriendly staff. It's look like the family run the business. We book a non-smoking room but when we came, they gave us the smoking room with horrible smell although they had a lot vacancies room. We did not agree, and at last they had to switch a non-smoking for us. I'd comment should not book this motel. Needed an inexpensive place for a night and this hotel filled the need well. Not fancy but clean and adequate. Even a muffin for breakfast. Would stay here again.

We got this room because we were stuck in BC due to floods and rock slides, so we wanted the cheapest room possible. It was ok, as far as "cheap" goes. The customer service was very, very friendly and helpful, and the room had brand new air conditioning, which was stellar. The room was also very clean, which, to me, is the most important thing in a […] room. The bed was pretty hard, though, and there was water damage in the bathroom from the shower spraying outside of the tub. Other than that, I have no complaints. right off hwy 1 near rv sales lot. You could hear the train (across the road) and highway trafic. The air conditioner was not sufficent for the room. The room was clean but small with a very small bathroom.

Our family of four stayed here on our way to Vancouver. The location right off the highway was extremely convenient...if you could handle the trains going by your room about 100 feet away all night. That, combined with the loud party going on the parking lot right outside our door (and it was quite a party, judging from the bottle of Canadian Club we […] found next the next morning on our doorstep), meant that none of us had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was quite minimal and there is no separate area to sit down and eat. Coffee, juice and pastries are set out on a counter next to the front desk. We ended up eating at the Tim Horton's down the road. I found the front staff helpful, although my husband went to ask someone to come to our room to look at something and no one ever showed up. This was an old motel that was not clean and strongly smelled of room deoderizer that was meant to cover up the smoking smell in what was supposed to be a non-smoking room. This motel should be removed from the Expedia website!

We were looking for a pit-stop hotel to check our email and get a good night's sleep. Sadly, the hotels proximity to the train line didn't help us get a good night's sleep, and the wireless internet signal was sketchy. Firstly, we couldn't find the hotel, since its name had been changed and we weren't informed of this on our booking. Luckily our GPS told us where to find it and the reception confirmed that we were at the right place. The place looks a bit worse for wear and is not really close to much in Kamloops. The hotel room was extremely small, although it had […] all the necessary items. The hotel is old and run-down. The shower did not have any water pressure and you have to dance under the dripping water to get wet. The hotel is way overpriced for what you get. The continental breakfast is just that - very limited. They didn't even have cream for coffee. Overall, I'd tell people not to go there. It would have been nice if this website had updated the name of the hotel when it was switched. It caused some confusion when I booked with Travel Lodge and Valleyview Lodge was where my hotel should be.

This motel did not have a sign up. As a result, I drove up and down the Trans Canada Hwy trying to find it. After about 30 min driving I managed to find it. This was very annoying after a 10 hour drive to get to Kamloops. Their excuse was that they were in the process of putting up a new sign.

The review stated this was a non-smoking motel but they were offering smoking rooms-because this was confiusing I phoned a representative to ask. He said it was a non-smoking motel. We booked the room as we were in a tournament and had to be budget conscious. Needless to say when we got there it was a smoking room!! The staff at the motel were friendly, […] the beds were comfortable and firm, the bathroom was very small but with a new curved shower curtain seemed much larger, but we could not get the window open so had to leave the door open to try to air out the room. OK hotel. Everything in the room is quite old and desperately needs a refresh. Bed was comfortable and everything was clean.

The TV was better than expected with excellent channel selection for such a low priced motel. Also, the extra chairs and table were an exceptional value because I was able to sprawl out my computer and other stuff very comfortably. Oh, and the complimentary wireless internet signal was strong and fast which was of great importance to me.

It's a small hotel that is not too bad to just stay for one night while you are traveling.

While a reasonable price this motel is alongside the TransCanada Highway and the main East West railway line. Large trucks and trains pass by constantly and this noise along with noisy older airconditioner units caused me to sleep with earplugs both nights of my stay. The closest restaurants are approx 2 kms away. Each room should be closed and redone. Carpets are dirty and worn, linen is threadbare, caulking aroung tub and toilet is broken down, gaps in front door, bathroom door is falling apart. On the upside, we were treated graciously.

I made the mistake of ignoring the one bad review here on Expedia allowing for the "you can please everybody ..." mentality of things. That was a mistake. The rooms were VERY small. The bathroom floor was dirty. The air conditioner was broken so horribly noisy but we ahd to deal with that given the termperature. The breakfast (don't be fooled) consisted […] of a few packs of muffins and pastries that I can only imagine came from the 2 day old bin. I got a bite in and even free wasn't worth the price. Unfortunately the breakfast was one of the selling points for me (an easy way to get the family going for a day of travel). I don't recommend this place. L'accueil et la gentillesse du propriétaire sont très sympa. Le motel est situé en bordure de routes automobile et ferroviaire, c'est un peu bruyant mais la halte entre Jasper et Vancouver est agréable et le proprio se met en quatre pour nous aider, conseils pour l'itinéraire et le restau du soir, pâtisseries pour accompagner notre petit déjeuner.
