The hotel location was ideal in downtown Anchorage close to restaurants and shops. Equally important that it was within walking distance to the Mariott hotel where we boarded a Celebrity Cruise shuttle bus to the train station. The nightly rate was reasonable for the hotel and the service. One of the main reasons we chose the hotel is because we had been out in the rain all day and we agreed a hot tub was the answer. The pool and hot tub was not functional as advertized. On top of that, we were called after 10pm by the hotel staff asking us how the room was. Really??

The double queen room was clean and spacious for two people. The reception staff were extremely helpful with things to see and do locally. The off-season rates were very well priced. The hotel is a short walk (less than 10 minutes) from the opposite end of downtown.

They accused me of being loud and our friends running down the hall and thst wasn't us and then kicked us out 3am I had no where to go. I was highly upset.when u accuse someone at least investigate if it was that guest or not.

The room was okay size and we were on the top floor. However, the pillow cases doesn't look cleaned. It's the first time I've been in the hotel that was dirty inside the building, dirty hallways, stairways and even in the elevator. So disgusting but I guess you get what you paid for. The only good thing is downtown. Accessible to many business establishments. […] I didn't know you have to pay parking fee. The room itself was decent, but it was the little things that were disappointing. Our TV quit working and they told us that they were going to switch rooms for us, but that we had to go down and get the key. The heater in the room they switched us to was not working. It would make sounds like someone was scraping ice off the windows. The final straw […] for me was when I went to take a shower and I went to put the shower towel on the floor, hair fell out. The hallways reaked of smoke, though the hotel boasted that it was non-smoking. The walls were paper thin, with outside noise and the hallway traffic were quite loud. The room was over warm leading me to discover that the air conditioner was just airplane that couldn't quite take off, but was stuck in take off mode.

I travel for a living so I am looking for something reasonable and conviencent. This is a old hotel. I had to shut my heater off and leave the window open for 2 hours to cool down. The snow plow ran under my room from 2 to 3 in the am. I was personally very dissappointed from my standpoint. I had an extremely positive experience at this hotel. I found the room pleasing, with a microwave and minifridge, and clean bathroom. But what I enjoyed most about this hotel was the staff. When I checked in at night I informed the front desk staff that I was here for a job interview, and she was very accomodating with parking (you have to pay $10 a […] day to park in the parking lot) and just very supportive of my job interview. The morning staff was even more of a cheerleader for my success at my job interview. They helped take my mind off of being nervous about the interview and created a really positive atmosphere. this hotel was dirty and gross worst hotel I have been in ... the room was dirty burn holes alot of burn holes ... the furnature was beat up and broken ... there was a burn mark on the comforter on the bed from them ironing it ... i never took my socks off (even to shower that should give you a hint on the bathroom) they had a pool and hot tub and the […] was the number 2 reason i picked that hotel but when i got there it had been closed for whatever reason cleaning matanence and was on week 2 of being closed ( per the notice dated on the pool door) the only good this is it was close to my work function . oh and when i pulled in to the main drop off check in area there was about a 6 inch drop and I did som damage to my car because of it! Helpfulness of hotel staff was excellent. When I got to the room there was one lamp not working and the alarm clock alarm was not functional. the staff took care of the problem immediately. This is my second stay here.

I did not like this hotel at all. I was a female traveling alone and really wish I would have spent an extra $30 or $40 to get a nicer place. The other people staying here were a bit sketchy (loud yelling in the hallway at night) and it was not very clean. I just didn't like it and didn't feel super safe. The room was clean. No complaints there. They charge for parking and their lot was full, so I had to find a spot on the street and start feeding a meter after 9 AM. The free breakfast was uninspiring. Plain bagels and fruit that was about to turn.

We had some issues with checkin. We were told room was not ready before 3 and to have a seat in the lobby area. We sat for several hours, ignored by hotel staff. Minor maintenance issues. The shower handle was loose and the plumbing was a bit loud when used by other rooms. My guess is the plumbing is not properly vented for make up air so it causes a gurgling sound during high use times.

beside that the word deluxe the logo which is misleading, the hotel dose not meet a 3* standard. the minimum of shower gel and a hair shampoo has to be picked up at front desk. the desk clark at the check in should not work at the front! no welcome not one nice word just "functioned" in routine of a official. the clerk at check out was much better

Hotel had a broken elevator , my room on third floor, and I was traveling with three heavy bags-going salmon fishing in the bush for 7 days. Rec'd no assistance or remuneration for the big inconvenience.

Half-way through our stay the only elevator broke, and so did the hot tub. Room was OK, beds were so-so. This is a good extended-stay place, but amenities/services are lacking. The sole elevator of of this 3-story property was out of service at arrival on a Saturday afternoon, to be repaired only by Monday. Hotel is very close to Anchorage Museum and to the 5th Avenue Mall, has a really friendly atmosphere AND allows dogs. No dogs with us but its good to know there is a good-looking hotel that takes them. they were replacing the carpet and the place was a mess in the hallways and should have just closed it down instead. the only reason to stay her is location to downtown the male driver that picked us up was very helpful but the women behind the desk didn't seem to care much

I would not recommend this hotel. It was old and dirty. Limited maid service. Road work outside the window, Had to pay more for parking. Some man in a room was beating up his wife and the children were crying, I called the front desk for them to know and to call the police. Not a nice hotel at all. I was surprised at the quality when I arrived based on some of the "positive" reviews I saw when booking the hotel. When I checked out, the front desk person asked how I enjoyed my stay. Not in the mood for complaining, I said "fine". She said, "Oh great, would you fill out a good review for us on TripAdvisor" and handed me […] a slip of paper with the instructions. I now see how they were getting an inappropriate amount of "positive" reviews. Our plane arrived at midnight, so I was really only looking for a bed to sleep in. So, the hotel was fine for that. First off the place is dirty. Secondly, they don't clean your room every day! We stayed there for 10 days and had to vacuum our own room, take out the trash and get fresh linen and towels. CRAZY! We would have checked out but all the other hotels where sold out, bummer. Worst ever hotel experience!

The staff were the best; thats it. Breakfast was bagels every morning with coffee no drinks for the kids no juice or water. Building next door was under construction very loud no towels in pool. Pool and hot tub cold. Then you have to pay 10 extra dollars a day to park there, use it to book a nicer hotel :(.

There were terrible stains on the floor. It was as if someone had come in after housekeeping and showered, there was dirty clothes 0n the bathroon floor, an empty soap wrapper in the tub and beads hanging over the hair dryer. Also stuff under the bed. Not a pretty site. I would not stay here again and it was not cheap!

This hotel has beds that are not comfortable at all. The hotels is very loud noisy creeking from the floors above. The ceiling fan in my room was so loud when running it vibrated the ceiling. Horrible stay and paid 10$ for parking.

My husband and I stayed one night at this hotel before we ran the Mayor's Half Marathon. We asked if we could have a late check-out so we could come back and take showers. The front desk explained (rather rudely) that the absolute latest check-out was at noon. We hurried back after the race to take showers only to have someone call our room at 11:25 […] and tell us to hurry up, and that we should have been out by 11:00. I can't actually find anything wrong with this hotel, it's just too expensive for what you get. What you get is a decent-size room that's well-kept, comfortable, and has a stove and microwave. I was sharing a room which helped keep the cost down, but if I was on my own I wouldn't rush to stay here. Oh, and it's also got a pool, hot tub and exercise […] room, which I guess are fine if you like those kinds of things.
