Crowne Plaza Hotel LONG ISLAND - MACARTHUR ARPT - Holtsville

We decided to stay a night between events at the University and was pleasantly surprised. The hotel was in close proximity and had the convenience of a restaurant and bar. The hotel itself appeared to be fine, wasn't there long enough to write a fair reviewing. The room itself was perfect! It was quiet and very clean throughout and had a coffee maker […] for those who prefer it in the morning. Just be aware that the hotel charges your account $50 for security. Overall very happy with accomidations. Only complaint would be with the bathroom. Why would you put a bathroom door in with wooden slats and no fan. Between sounds and odors, makes the use of the bathroom a little uncomfortable. Otherwise happy with the room and the resturant attatched.

The entrance on the road I came in on wasn't marked. The room was freezing and I couldn't adjust the temperature because the thermometer was broken. It was replaced just before I wanted to go to bed. Maintenance barely spoke English! The shower head POURED and shot out water from where it was screwed on. I had to put a wash rag over it to get a shower. Refrigerators […] and microwaves cost extra as does the continental breakfast. The microwave was put on my DESK for use. It was brought to my room almost an hour and a half after I asked for it. The cable picture was TERRIBLE! The only redeeming quality was the staff were VERY nice, VERY professional and willing to compensate me for this terrible experience had, but their hands were tied. It was a nice place. My only gripe was that there was a leak and no maintenance to fix it. Yikes!

The room was clean and comfortable. The drinks in the bar were waaay strong. Breakfast good.

Rob was fantastic! All the desk folks were helpful and friendly, nice to see American's running the joint. I must say first however, the sign for the hotel was not lit up nor could you see it from the road....look for the Yogi sign instead of Crowne Plaza. Great diner up the road too...we'll be back for sure :-)

The condition of this hotel was definitely not worthy of the rating of a 3 1/2 star hotel. We arrive at 2:40, 20 minutes prior to check in. One room was ready, one was not. No problem. We went to the room that was ready - to find the bed leaning up against the wall and the furnitue turned over. Reported this to the front desk - they apologize - gave […] us a different room. Arrived at that room to find that the toilet did not work in that room. Now we are running out of time to shower and change to get ready for a formal event. Off to another (third) room. We did stay in this room, however, there was a hole in the bathroom ceiling with a bare light bulb hanging. The hotel did provide us with many apologies and a complimentary breakfast. But to top it all off - we had the breakfast buffet - AND IT WAS COLD!!! Definitely not of Crowne Plaza calliber - this hotel needs major help!! Great prices, great room, great decor, great friendly staff. I would totally recommend this hotel and will always use it when I'm in the area.

The entire experience was top notch. The only minor issue was in the characterization of "MacArthur Airport". This hotel was not that close to the airport, but at the same time not so far away as to be inconvenient.

My wife and I enjoyed the accommodations, room service was very quick. Enjoyed the restaurant, food very good. Crowne Hotel even went out of their way to help us in time of personal need and did not have too. Thank-You very much

There is a bar/restaurant on the first floor that has live bands. If your room is located on that side of the hotel, it sounds as if the band is in your room. Walls are very thin, noise levels from passer-bys in the hallway continued throughout the entire night. Room itself was comfortable and clean. Bed was comfortable. wOULD STAY HERE AGAIN!! ONLY THING IS THE DIRECTIONS THE ENTRANCE IS REALLY OFF THE LIE SERVICE ROAD, BUT OTHERWISE EVERYTHING WAS GREAT, BATHROOM WAS CLEAN, BEDS WERE VERY COMFY, SLEPT LIKE A BABY!! a++

My husband and I are always happy with the staff, room, food and conveniences of staying at this Hotel. They have refurbished the Hotel and it is very clean and comfortable.

Hotel staff were nice, helpful and quick to respond. the sports bar was ok, but the breakfast prices were a lil steep for a family. tho the hotel looked to have been recently updated the work was shabby. like the hole under bathroom light fixture that i could put a golf ball in, or the cd alarm clock that didnt work at all. My largest grip was when […] we turned on the heat it all blew under the curtains that were not held back, so we either opened the curtains to feel the heat( and on the ground floor i wasnt comfortable doing that) or no heat. we used the ice bucket and a small pull along bag to hold the curtains back, it was below 36 degress that night. Nice place staff. Shannon very accommodating. Nice fragrance in throughout whole hotel. even though brkfst not included, found a way to get a coupon and brkfast was very palatable

I MADE MY RESERVATION AT HOTELS.COM AND I PICKED "ONE KING SIDE BED" --- WHEN WE CHECKED IN AT THE HOTEL - WE GOT "2 FULL SIDE BEDS" -- I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED. I PLANNED A ROMANTIC NIGHT WITH MY HUSBAND AND WE HAD TO SLEEP IN TWO DIFFERENT BEDS. Nice Hotel with great people, even the restaurant bar attached to the Crown Plaza is great. Had a great experience with this hotel will go again when I get the chance. Can't really think of any complaints with this hotel.

This hotel looks like it has been remodeled lately, Mostly it looks great but every once in a while you can see a spot or two they missed. Parking is very hard. They claim to have 166 rooms but only have 100 parking spots. There is also a restaurant attached to the hotel that has pretty good food and does good business so if you arrive late to the hotel, […] you'll be lucky to get a parking spot. Also, although I reserved my room weeks in advance, specified a king bed and checked in at 3:30 (check in is 3PM), they did not have my room ready and tried to put me in a room with 2 double beds. I was a bit insulted and told them that wouldn't work for me. They gave me a voucher for 1 free drink at the attached bar (sans tip) and asked me to wait. Then they didn't call me when the room was ready. I just went back to the desk about 1/2 hour later and asked if my room was ready yet. They said it was. Stayed at Crowne Plaza Long Island for 6 nights, Enjoyed the facilities included in the price, fridge, microwave, tv, wireless internet and the privacy. Did not get disturbed by anyone. Great place to stay. Hotel was renovating the foyer but I was out all day each day so it didn't affect me one bit.Payed twice the money for a hotel in NY and got nowhere […] near the facilities and quality of the room. first of all they should inform all guest that work is currently going on. my room on the first floor was very damp had bugs flying around and a few other bugs in the corner of the room which looked like a vacuum never touched the carpet. the drainplug in the tub was actually not in the drain of the tub but sitting on the corner of the tub was told […] they remove the drain plugs when they clean the tub. also the furniture was so cheap looking and banged up and would'nt even recommend it for some kids dorm room. I made reservation and call ahead to request the baby crib. the guest service was handle the matter nicely on the phone promise the crib will be ready when we get there. But when we got to the room it not there. so we have to call again. the crib arrived not too long after. we also have to request for more towel since there is only one single towel […] available (no wash cloth, no bath rug. either) seem like the house keeper didn't complete the job before hand. otherwise the room is update and clean. the renovation that was going on in the lobby didn't bother us. My wife and I moved from Lawnguylyn 7years ago so we know the cost of visiting can be extreme. This hotel was perfect for our visit very clean friendly staff and priced right.

The hotel is comfortable, but it is too close to highway. It's noisy at night.When I arrived at Hotel, I didn't have room key due to machine out of function. It is inconvenience for me to in/out of my room.

The hotel was conveniently located and easy to get to right off the expressway. The cost was $50 cheaper than most around. The front desk clerk was friendly and quick. The room was okay. The window did not have a view of the outside at all. We were looking at an inner banquet room & hallway. There was a belt left behind from a prior guest on the desk […] chair, which concerned me. How well was my room cleaned? The bathroom was clean but did not have a toilet paper holder. the paper was sitting on the back of the toilet. Overall the stay was sufficient for our needs. I writing the truth because you asked! The bed was comfortable, sheets were clean. bathroom was not! toilet did not flush well and leaked, 3 of 4 lights were out over sink could not see to shave! exhaust did not work in bathroom.. as I was leaving I am not sure the type of bug but killed 2 crawling on the desk top. thought to be more like a ROACH type. […] I had to take all my luggage outside and shake everything out including my luggage. This hotel was clean and inviting after a long day of travel. We were there only overnight so did not avail ourselves of any ammenities or the restaurant. But that nice clean bed, and clean white towels sure were welcome that night. Oh, they also give each guest some lavender linen spray, ear plugs and an eye mask. How nice is that? Room was sufficient as we only stayed 1 night. There was a roach in our room and the person at the desk was non-reactive. Otherwise, gym and breakfast were fine
