Next time - spend a little more money to be closer to alexanderplatz, where there are more transportation options.

We stayed here for four nights, and it's probably the best hotel in terms of overall rating that we've found in a lot of travel. It's close to the U Bahn (1 min walk - but no noise) direct to Friedrich Strasse, close to a good coffee shop (breakfast is expensive), and ideally located 2 min walk from the tram stop - direct to Alexander Platz on the M6. […] Hotel staff were the most pleasant, welcoming and accommodating we've encountered at a Mercure. Hotels in ay country, still fail to provide decent pillows, thoguh the Mercure provide alternatives. This hotel proved to be ideal for our purposes - a five day sightseeing visit - very good location for sightseeing and close proximity to transport links, and yet quiet, no traffic noise. The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

The hotel and room was very good, however the services of the hotel and staff were poor at best. The Room cleaning services were overlooked on many occasions and not completed. The Wi-fi is not free, it is £10 a day to use wifi, a service that should be free! The breakfast was £19 a day per person as an addon which I think is a ripoff! The location is great! just next to station and room is nice an clean. But I think I will try to find another hotel next time if I visited Berlin because.... -no free wifi anywhere, even at the lounge. -no bath tab only shower -luck of amenity goods. Everything very clean and tidy - perhaps a little too much so! Duvet rather small and difficult to sleep at night, but lots of TV channels to watch. Room well equipped with everything I could want. Area close to Charite campus which was what I wanted for my stay.

We usually stay in the Mercure in Cologne, when we visit, so when this Mercure came up at a great price and location for Max Schmeling Halle, on the night we needed in Berlin, I booked it no questions asked. When we got there, the guy wasn't very friendly. My german is terrible, but I'd been trying my best all day. By the time we got there, and the […] look we got for turning up in jeans and trainers (no stereotypes at all) I was ready to give up. I understand german's can be abrupt, but when you work in a hotel, you should be used to dealing with people from other countries. When we got to our room it was ok. The gap underneath the shower door, meant I drenched the floor when I had a shower, and it didn't dry out. The glasses were filthy, and I had to wash them myself, before using them. There was a mould ring growing on the wall, where the make up mirror had been moved to and not cleaned around probably. Staff were very obliging from beginning to end. Nothing was too much trouble. Hotel seemed almost new and in very good condition. Is about 2 kms from Checkpoint Charlie and being located in the former Easter Bloc made it very interesting to walk around the vicinity. Transport (S Bahn and U Bahn) within easy walking distance.

The staff was very helpful and the bar and dining was very nice. The staff was able to speak to me in English and able to answer all of questions. The hotel is located close to the train station and within a quick cab ride to the city center. The hotel also offers secured parking in their parking garage. 25 eruo a day which is actually a good deal.

Friendly and helpful staff, great location - 100 yards from the u-bahn station that is two stops from the main central fredrichstrasse station which links to most of the main lines. very clean, great value for money. would strongly reccommend for couples looking for a long weekend.

The hotel is in a nice location right next to a Metro stop. The room was a bit small and had no minibar. Bathroom was also pretty small. But besides the space issues it was ok, clean and good service.

we were extremely satisfied with this hotel. Lovely room with all we needed for a five day holiday. I was recently in Berlin for a short weekend with my wife and mother. We statyed here 3 nights and could not have been more happy. Well located, just about a 30 second walk to the U-bahn. (If you're staying somewhere that's more than a minute walk from public transit in Berlin, you're doing something wrong. It may be a chain hotel but it's comfortable and modern and in a great location. Would stay there again. Much better than budget chains I've stayed at in England. Staff was very helpful and all english speaking too. We had to leave bags the day we arrrived and the day we left.

We enjoyed this hotel, it is well located, only 15 min walking to Unter den Linden street (city center). You are 1.1km from the main bus/train terminal. I am used to staying 5 star in the main as I travel a lot with work so I have to say my expectaions for this hotel were not so high however they blew me away with the friendly and attentive service, very modern hotel, clean.
