Comfort Inn & Suites Redwood Country - Fortuna

This Comfort Inn was located conveniently near the 101 highway. The front desk clerk was courteous and very helpful. We asked to change to another room because the flush handle was broken in our first room. No problem with switching rooms. Breakfast was excellent. We would definitely stay there again.

We were here to check out the redwoods. The hotel is conveniently located just of US101. Decent hotel, the rooms are clean and tidy. Huge rooms with a lot of space. Had microwave, refrigerator, working AC everything you need for a pleasant stay. They even have a pool and hot tub - didn't use it though. There is a brewery right across with 10% off of […] food. The manager and staff provided excellent service. The manager went out of her way to provide us with housing information about the town of Fortuna. She gave us magazines and realtor information. She was very helpful. One staff member suggested an awesome place for dinner. The rooms are large and clean. We had great stay.

This was a pleasant overnight stay. The hotel was clean and quiet. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool. Internet signal, for those who can't live without it, was strong. The free breakfast was nice and offered various items. The staff were very friendly- I think they were happy just to talk to people since sitting a front desk can be boring during off […] season. Right across the street from the hotel is the riverwalk, which is a nice way to stretch those legs after driving all day. The hotel is located in an area of other hotels and does not offer any real sightseeing in walkable distance. Everything was excellent once I got into the room. I was a bit disappointed that I could not get an earlier check in, and I will stay again if I can use the fitness center while waiting for my room.

This is a safe, quiet, clean, comfortable hotel. It has 3 floors. It is on the Eel River in Fortuna,Ca, near Eureka,CA. Generous free breakfast selection, including waffles and eggs. I really like this place!

We stopped here on the way down to the Redwoods. The hotel was nice and clean and the pool and hot tub were great for the kids. Breakfast had a good selection from pastries to eggs and biscuits and gravy and fruit. I was a little disappointed with the mediocrity of the hotel. I had recently stayed with their competitor and wanted to compare the two. This was the loser. On check out I could not find staff, ended up leaving my key at the front desk.

This hotel worked well for our brief stay. The night manager was very helpful; suggested a great place for dinner and provided lots of local information.

hotel room was good, was a stop of place on the way from seattle to san francisco and wa sjust off the highway. Hotel staff were unhelpful though. It was our 4th hotel of the trip and breakfast finished over an hour earlier than in the others and it was our fault we didnt check time but we arrived at 9.35 when it finished at 9.30 and they were clearing […] it up. i explained the the staff we had a long drive ahead and didnt know it finished so early so was there a muffin or slice of bread we could even take and was told no as they were clearing it up she couldnt let me have anything. its a self serve breakfast. i wasnt asking much we could see her collegue in the kitchen putting evrything thing away. she was also unhelpful in telling us if there was another gas station near by as the one next to the hotel was very expensive and we needed to fill up. put a downer on holel as apart from that it was good. They need to replace the beds with more comfortable mattresses!!!!! The beds are like sleeping on concrete!

Had everything you would want in a motel, including the breakfast, condition of room, laundry, fitness, refreshments until 10 pm free. Great service, great wifi. Really enjoyed our stay and a reasonable price

There was an unpleasant smell in the common areas that was less noticeable in my 3rd (top) floor room. The room was poorly lit, and there Washington no light on the desk. I could see the splash marks of what I could only infer was from mopping the bathroom floor along the bottom of the outside of the bathtub.

Extremely happy with our stay. Our room was very spacious and clean. The pool was small but a comfortable temp and clean. Breakfast was great! Probably some of the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had. The hotel is easy access off the freeway...off the beaten path but its such a small town it was not a problem. I've stayed at a couple of the hotels in Fortuna and this one is just fine. The pool is nice and it is a very short walking distance from a terrific brewery that has great local food.

Nice staff, clean room, very updated, easy to access location, small pool but that's ok. Great Price! Evening Desk Clerk was awesome!! Thanks for the towels for the pool at 9:45. 15 minute swim was perfect! You rock bro!

Not good for the price paid. Can get some other good hotels for the price paid with more ameneties and also comfort. So not satisfied for the price paid for the hotel.

Friendly staff, great accommodations. The continental breakfast was even set up earlier than usual because many guests were running a race that morning, and had to leave earlier than the normal breakfast time...so very considerate!

I rented a two bedroom suite and found it very spacious. The beds were comfortable. The location overlooking river was excellent and not on a street with traffic The breakfast was a step above most motel breakfasts. The eel river brewery next door was an excellent place to spend evening and good food. Five out of Five rating

All was well but the breakfast. Waffle machine was not working and the eggs were gone. I was not the end of the time either. We tried to eat about 1 hour before the end. Had to get food elsewhere.

We had 3 adults and 2 small kids and got the 1King and 2 Queen bed room. It was really spacious and the morning breakfast was a treat. Recommend this spot to someone looking to checkout Ave of the Giants or the Redwood state park.

This is a very clean an comfortable hotel and I would highly recommend it to others. Room was very clean both in appearance and oder (no stale smell). Pool & hot tube was very clean and well kept. Staff very friendly and courtious.

Booked 2 room suite w/ 1KB in main room & 2QBs in the other. Rooms were large & well kept. Great for 3 people who wanted separate beds & nobody had to flip a coin to get stuck w/ a rollaway or sleeper sofa.

This hotel had the worst breakfast of any that I have stayed in. There was NO fruit, NO protein (other than the cream cheese) for the bagel. Clearly this was the result of poor management who had not ordered enough provisions despite the fact that a very buy weekend was expected. The young woman staffing the breakfast area was excellent but I felt sorry […] for her having to take the brunt of dissatisfaction for management's failing.
