Silver Spray Motel - Hollywood

Disappointed with room . I booked a studio which specified queen bed and sofa bed. There was neither in room. It had a full bed which is the next size down. I believe hotel management switched me to the next size down and still charged me for a studio. I wouldn't stay there again.

The room was small, the AC made a loud noice but we were two blocks from the beach. Most beautiful sunrise ever...unforgettable.

I spoke to the Manager. All she could say was she was sorry. Offered no refund. I am aTravel Agent and I will not recommend this property to any one

I enjoyed my stay, however my room, #22, the bolts were unhinged on the chain lock to door! Didn't like that there is NO sign provided for "do not disturb", as I do not like anyone in my room while I am a guest.

for the price we paid of $145 for the large studio, yes we would definitely come back. overall the property was in good condition, and our room was fairly priced for the proximity to the beach. we gave the silver spray an "ok" due to a few issues: upon checking in late, your keys will be in an unsecured box with your name on an envelope; the mgmt. office […] was kept locked during business hours---i easily ran into one of the owners/mgrs.,and gained access, but seemed unwelcoming; there was not bedding provided for the sofa bed in our room, an oversight, but when we told the office of this in the morning, the owner physically came to our room to check,as if we may have overlooked. upon confirming our findings,or lack there of, offered no compensation for our incomplete bed. further, the mattress cover was badly stained and again when brought to the attention of the mgmt., just a "sorry". sorry and a smile can go a long way in the hospitality industry, but seems as if missing components to sleep may require another step. lastly the owner/mgr. woman in the office was surly---her husband was nice and accomodating but not she! Great place for the price. Staff is wonderful. Rooms are a little out dated but the price creates value. Great location.

The location to the Hollywood Beach "Broadwalk" is fantastic, the owner was very courteous, the establishment older but well kept with charm. There was a lovely courtyard outside my room with a barbecue grill and several table/chair seating areas with umbrellas. The rooms are equipped with dishes, pots and pans and utensils and the bed was very comfortable. […] The floors get very sandy, due to the proximity to the beach, but the housekeeper swept it for us when cleaning the room and was kind enough to work around the times we were out of the room. I would recommend this motel to anyone who enjoys quaint charm and is not needing upscale lodging, but simple clean affordable accommodations in a safe neighborhood close to the beach. I took a shot in the dark choosing to stay at Silver Spray and could not have been more relieved by the results. The staff was kind and helpful, the room was immaculate, the ocean coast was just around the corner. If you are looking for something luxurious, this isn't the place.
