Knights Inn Palmyra/Hershey - Palmyra

This hotel was perfect for a cheap overnight stay. Very clean, friendly place. The only issue we had was you could feel the springs in the mattresses of both full beds.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The room was fairly quiet even though it was located right next to the main road. The hotel was located to some very good and fairly inexpensive restaurants---the Filling Station, Funks, and the Hearth. I would stay here again....Very close to Hershey Park, Hershey Gardens and Indian Echo Caverns.....

Booked 2 nights. Second night key didn't work - had to reset it at the office. Ice machine out of order. Plumbing so old when the neighbor took a shower the rattling pipes were deafening. It was clean - housekeeping does the best they can with it. It will keep the rain off you but deluxe or decent hotel stay - it's not here.

The room was run down and filthy. The location was convenient. The sign said newly renovated but I never saw that. The old building and room would have been more acceptable if it had been clean. My son and I have used the Knights Inn twice now, both times for winter season trips to Hershey to take in local hockey games. Limited contact with staff but both times the persons we dealt with were very nice. The Knights Inn gives you everything you should expect when paying a budget rate i.e. a clean room, working heat, AC, and cable, courteous staff. […] If you expect more than that for a budget rate than go elsewhere. This place is great for us and we have been very happy with both stays. In room coffee would be nice but you get what you pay for. I brought my own little coffee maker on the second trip and it worked out great. I will add that we have used a few different low rate motels in the area for our occasional hockey trips and the Knights is now our "go to" motel unless they give us a reason stop using them. The staff is what's exceptional at this hotel. While the rooms were clean and comfortable, the stand out was Mina at the front desk. Such a nice lady, willing to help and full of great suggestions!

Got a great rate and the hotel was clean and fairly well maintained. We felt safe (except for the shady people staying a few doors down). It was convenient to get to local eateries, malls, and the Renaissance Festival. It was a great bargain.

The motel was located between all areas I plan to visit. Our room was clean (king room), But could use a sitting area to you did not have to be on the bed all the time. The daily maid service needs to be more orderly (one day you may get towels and bath mat, then the next day you may only get 1 towel for 2 guess and no mat and some time no tolet tissue.) […] The week we were there our room was next to the maids living quarters and she had a male friend over and the argued and had some shouting and fighting out side the room at 1 and 2 am this happen about 3 times during a 7 night stay. When they were not together it was a nice place to stay. If you are a light sleeper it is right on the main road so you do hear the traffic. We didn't stay long, but my only real complaint is that the outlets were in less than satisfactory condition. Some didn't work and the ones that did could barely hold a charger. It kept falling out of the outlet, making it difficult to charge our phones. In such a technological world that is something that is needed.

To be objective, I understand the rate offered is the least in Hershey Area. However, It is not very cheap. The problem started as soon as I tried to check in. The staff refused to give me the Queens beds I reserved. They offered me Full beds instead. The desk girl even tried to insult my intelligence by saying that she does not know the difference […] between Queens and Full beds. She said that they don't even have Queens beds in the Hotel. She even said: " if you don't like it, go smewhere else". Imagine that you make a reservation to plan your trip on Expedia, and then when you get there you have to take your kids around looking for a Hotel. Only after protesting hard and threatening that I will complain to Expedia, a room with Queens beds became availiable from nowhere. The room was smelly, filthy, and full of flies. I spent the next 4 days on a killing spree. I was going after flies with my bathroom towels. The room is not vaccumed and cleaned everyday. Beds are not fixed daily, you have to do that yourself. The quality of the room are misreable. You have to fight with the doors to open them. Carpet if very old and smelly. TV is 2 decades old. Bathroom is very old too. No coffee machine, no Iron, no Phone, No hair dryer. Breakfast was some old Cereals and very few Mini Muffins, and finally the swimming pool was a positive note in this Hotel, but it was dirty and full of insects. It was a good hotel. We were basically there to sleep but it had a fridge which was nice and a pool. They Breakfast hours could be a little longer. Overall it was a nice hotel to stay at.

If you're expecting the Hershey Hotel at this price, then you'll be sorely disappointed; however, if you realize that this is a very inexpensive stay, you'll be pleased. All in all it was a good place to stay. It was basic, but clean and very quiet. Beds could be replaced as they were not real comfy. Liked having WIFI. Convenient to where we wanted to go after we got there. A little hard to find coming in from NY with out much lighting or signs on small side streets. This is the usual 2 to 2 1/2 star hotel that my family will generally stay in. However, we were disappointed with this stay. Was good, the beds a little hard... But was very clean & nice set up... The only thing I regret was me & my family wanna to use the swimming pool after the check out @ 11:00 a.m. but the y said no cuz of insurance coverage and cuz it was a very high season and they were waiting 4 more clients. This motel is just what you pay for - a very comfortable, no-frills room with the basic amenities. I would recommend it for a shorter stay, as the rooms aren't terribly spacious, but if you're not picky it has everything you'd need. The staff was friendly. I am not picky, but it was one of those super-cheap, misty spraying shower heads where it hurts if you get too close and is a cold mist if you go too far away. This is an easy thing to fix and the motel would do well to invest the extra pennies for a shower head that doesn't punish the customer for using the water. The rooms were poorly cared for, with damaged outlets and musty smells. We were handed room keys that had an incorrect room number labeled on them. 6 miles away from Hershey, it had an OK location, but paled in comparison with other local hotels.
