Everything was great except the breakfast buffet which consists of eggs, bacon, sausage and pancakes cost $25 a person Complete robbery in my mind. On top of the $46 dollar a day charge for parking.

My husband and I got a room here for 3 nights over the weekend of our anniversary. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a friendly front desk receptionist who kept us chatting for the few minutes it took for the room to get its final inspection. When we got to the room, everything was very clean, the bathroom was beautiful and the bed incredibly comfortable. […] On the 7th floor, you hear little to no noise at all. However, if you are looking for a spectacular view, which we were not, this is not the hotel for you. My husband and I were also pleased to find that just about anything you want to do is easily within walking distance and/or various T stops. The hotel itself is kind of bordering the craziness of Boyleston. So it's perfect! It is a 3 block from Newbury Street, which was great for me. The Hotel has a great lobby and just very simple and chic. No frills here. The room is very spacious and cozy. We really enjoyed our stay at Loews Back Bay Hotel. The location was very convenient to the Boston Commons, to the subway system and to the Freedom Trail. We were visiting Boston for our family vacation and enjoyed our time immensely.

We had stayed at two different hotels in the 4 yrs that our granddaughter went to Conservatory of Arts bc those hotels were closer to her school. But now that she has graduated and if she stays in Boston we will definitely plan on staying at Loewes. Much nicer place for less money and the staff was amazing.

If you are staying here with the intentions of it "looking" like a Lowes property-beware. Lowes just purchased the existing hotel (I believe the Back Bay Hotel) in February. The entire hotel -lobby, restaurant & rooms are in dire need of makeover/renovations. Which I was told were going to be happening in Nov. of this year. Until then, though, you […] are paying Lowes prices for a room in a hotel that is not of Lowes standards. It was clean but the carpet was run down, the furniture old & chipped. Hotel was in a few blocks from Boylston Street - lots of shopping and restaurants. Hotel was very nice, room was great, nice size bed and bathroom. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again when in Boston - highly recommend.

I am a bit of a hotel snob so I am usually pretty brutal in my reviews. However, I loved this hotel! The service was just outstanding. Staff was so friendly and accommodating. Deepak, the porter, took time out to show us some of the hotel's history and gave my 6-year old a coloring book and a few chocolates to boot. Loved it. The hotel was in the perfect location - easy to get to Fenway Park but also close to the downtown area and Sea Port. Lots of restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance.

We really enjoyed our stay at Loews and would recommend it to anyone visiting Boston. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and helped us out with all our queries. The only thing really wasthere was no breakfast included in our deal, or didn't seem to be on any room rates. We enjoyed a short-but-sweet stay at the Loews Back Bay. The location was fantastic, and the room was large, with all the amenities we wanted. The staff were very helpful and we would definitely think about staying here again when we next get a chance to visit Boston.

I have stayed to The Back Bay Hotel 4 - 5 time over the past three years and have always found the staff to be exceptional. We are visiting Boston this time, to attend my daughters Commencement and ordered roses, via the Hotel Concierge Niki, to give to my daughter at dinner, but dinner was cancelled. I called Niki and asked if she would send the flowers […] to my daughter in a cab. Not only were the flowers delivered, but Niki took the initiative to delivery them personally!! Now THAT'S SERVICE. This is our 4th stay at this hotel and the differentiator for us remains the special staff. Nothing is a bridge too far for them. Love it! Bring back the weekday breakfast buffet!!

All in all, a decent hotel, conveniently located between the South End and the Back Bay. Generally great service. However, the street and Mass Pike noise was incredible. Sleep without earplugs would have been impossible. We were on the 5th floor too. Also, ask if your room has windows. Ours did, but there was a rumor some dont.

The staff was very warm and welcoming. Despite recent events that had occurred in the immediate area, the hotel was more than accommodating as anyone can expect from most Boston area hotels. Landed late so needed to rely on room service which was extremely limited. After placing the order and calling back an hour later we were told the order had never been received. Very odd. Had spoke at length with the individual taking the order each time.Room was great.Hotel restaurant spendy but decent. Over all a good stay but not remarkable.

We had a great stay at this hotel. We had two adults and one teenager in a room with two double beds. When we checked in, the woman made sure to give us the largest room at that level she could find. We really enjoyed the ambiance ,location,comfort and service at this hotel. I am a loyal Loews customer and would expect no less. I understand there is a major renovation planned for the near future and look forward to returning. The only complaint we had is the Cheeseburgers were terrible.The bread was dry and meat chewy! Breakfast was very good.

The location is good, just 15 minutes walk to Chinatown. It has many bars and restaurants nearby. The loud music coming into the room from a night club near the hotel every night. We could hardly sleep.

Close to Back Bay subway station and less than a mile from the South End's restaurants and shops. Also less than a mile from Newbury street shopping--we walked to both areas easily during our trip, eliminating the expense of cabs.
