A nice hotel if you are interested in sunbathing, but it is pretty far away from a very nice beach.

Nice hotel and compared to many in Spain was excellent, although probably the lower end of 4* or upper 3* by UK standards. Staff were all friendly, we were there with my 2 year old and all staff we came into contact with took time & spoke to him which I thought was excellent.

I stayed in the Albir Playa hotel for 3 nights and don't have a bad word to say about it. Room was of a good size, restaurant, food and bars were of good quality.

ok just about sums it up,NOT,a 4star hotel by any standards, it took 40 minutes to get into our room, problems with the locks! sherbert sugary tasting orange juice for breakfast,and lousy coffee,how the coffeee could have been so bad is a mystery to us in spain,went over to the local cafe most days.unable to make up our bill when we were leaving even […] though we had prepaid. there was nightly entertainment in the bar if you can call it that,it was more like a european butlins bit downmarket catering for cheap packages really. We had a very brief stay. Staff quite friendly and spoke good english. Was a bit disapointed that there were no tea or coffee facilities in room and not a good selection soap also there were toothbrushes which was a nice touch but no paste.

Very nice but the mattress was far to hard ,used the extra mattress from the sofa bed.Limited menu and look warm food.You advertise a indoor pool which was the reason for booking this hotel but it does not have a indoor pool.

Stayed there 20 Dec - 29 Dec 2012 quiet at start then got busy over Xmas. Staff coped with everything. Had breakfast included but only problem was cold plates - food was always cold by the time you sat down with it ! I prefer to eat out and loads of nice restaurants locally - beach front bit quiet this time of year - but we had hot sunny days for 7 […] out of 9 ! Even got a tan ! This hotel is great if you want a relaxing break. Spa facilties are fantastic. The rooms could have been slightly bigger as with four in a room, 2 adults and 2 children, it was slightly cramped but didn't spend much time in the room anyway. Pool was small for the size of the hotel and by 10am you couldn't get a sunbed. I would get out to the pool early. There […] was a childrens disco every night but didn;t start until 21:30 but the kids had a siesta at 18:00 and then were fine for the disco. Very good hotel experience. I would recommend it to everybody, however, one area that let the hotel down, was the restaurant. it was far from city center. Food in the bar wasn't the best, but lunch and dinner was great. Cocktails were a bit pricey. A lot of hidden charges eg. for the parking ten EUR per day, internet, spa and other small things.

The hotel was recommended by my brother who stayed there last year. Overall a very comfortable hotel. I had requested interconnecting or adjoining rooms as I was travelling with young children and grandma so was a little disappointed that we were 6 doors apart which resulted in a lot of to'ing and fro'ing along the corridor. The sofa bed in one of the […] rooms didn't work and hotel was reluctant to repair it - we ended up repairing it ourselves. The hotel was perfectly adequate-good, staff friendly and helpful, rooms and common areas clean. The hotel was very busy (August Bank Holiday) and I think resulted in staff and facilites being quite stretched - sun beds limited, the clearing and re-setting of restaurant tables was slow. The hotel is in a great location - only 45 mins from the airport and right next to the beach. If you do get an airport transfer, go with ZIP Transfers; really friendly and on time. Once we arrived at the hotel we checked in smoothly and were pleasantly surprised to see a spacious hotel room with balcony and clean bathroom. It was a really nice room. […] They include a tv which has 2 or 3 English channels - Sky News, Flava music channel and a kids channel. The balcony included 2 chairs and a table which was perfect for relaxing. The beach was easy to find and literally 10 minutes away. The beach wasn't too crowded either which was nice. We didn't use the Spa but the pool was lovely with a waterfall feature. The bar was great; the cocktails were superb and the bar staff were lovely. Food was hit and miss - on the first night we had dinner at the hotel and it was pretty awful. Potatoes too salty, uncooked chicken and warm salad. We were able to change dinner for lunch quite easily though; you just need to inform them a day before. Breakfast was yummy and lunch was much better than dinner. For dinner we would go to the restaurants nearby - Indian, Chinese, Italian and Spanish tapas. Could not fault the food at these restaurants and very inexpensive. The location really was the best bit and the area was quiet...no car traffic or street traffic. There was also a Lidl right outside the hotel so perfect (and cheap!) for buying water and snacks. This was the second year we spent Christmas at The Albir Playa, all the staff are very helpfull, good variety of food at breakfast and dinner, excellent value for money.

Flott hotell, super service og god mat. Ukomfortable senger, og lytt fra bassengområdet til rommene med utsikt mot bassenget. Dersom man har barn bør man velge rom som ikke har utsikt mot bassenget.

No recomendaría nada la estancia, el hotel en si esta muy bien, pero si vas en fin de semana comprueba que no te toque una boda en el hotel, las habitaciones que dan a la piscina... pues se tragan todo el ruido de la boda, catering, y chillidos de las personas que están de celebración.. Bra hotell. Rent, god frokost, servicevennlige i resepsjonen. Vi hadde leide sykler, og fikk plassert disse på avlåst rom på nettene. Hvis noe negativt så var det svært harde senger, tregt WiFi (spesielt på kveldstid). I tillegg hadde vi rom mot bassenget (over barområdet). Generelt var hotellet bra, og selv om beliggenheten var noe unna stranden, så var ikke det så viktig siden det var utenom sesong. Men jeg fikk en negativ mottakelse. Siden jeg ofte reiser alene, ville jeg ha et rom med ok utsikt og balkong. Det rommet jeg fikk lå mot flaske og søppelcontainere og mot det som virket som en bakgård. Jeg henvemdte meg […] til resepsjonen og forklarte at jeg var misfornøyd med rommet. Siden det var fullt var det ikke mulig å bytte. Spurte om jeg kunne få bytte senere, men da trakk hun bare oppgitt på skuldrene og sa: .vi får se, Kunne svart høflig at de skal gjøre det de kan!!. Snakket med en annen dagen etter og fikk ordnet nytt og bedre rom de tre siste dagene. Det var ok, men unødvendig å bli møtt med slik "arroganse". Opplever desverre for ofte når jeg reiser alene, så får man lavere service og detckoster ekstra. Hvorfor horfor er det sånn, det burde jo være omvendt! Đọc thêm

Kort avstand til buss og tog. Strandpromenaden er også nær. Deilig frokost. Besøk i bassengområdet er helt herlig.

Hotellet ligger fint til og selve hotellet har bra kvalitet. Maten er av middels og av heller dårlig kvalitet. Personalet i resepsjonen var hyggelig nok. Noen av de i restauranten var service innstilte og høflige, mens andre var direkte uhøflige.Det som var til størst frustrasjon var INTERNETT. VI skulle på fjellet hver dag, så vi måtte sjekke mail […] hver morgen før i vi dro, samt når vi kom tilbake. I mellomtiden var koden gått ut, for den varte i 12 timer, og ofte tok det lang tid å få lagt inn ny kode fordi vi da var koblet av nettet eller fordi koden ikke fungerte. Vi løp opp og ned til resepsjonen for å få nye koder! Det bør være unødvendig.. Internett var gratis og vi skulle ha fått en kode ved innsjekking og that's it. VI velger ofte hotell ut i fra tilgang til internett. Hvis vi skal bruke hotellet til kurs og konferanse, så må de nok oppgradere servicen og restauranten. Đọc thêm

Hotellet var veldig fint, rommene var fint innredet, og lobby og baren i første etasje var innbydende. Frokosten var variert og innbydende, veldig bra. Var ikke innom spa-avdelingen, men den så veldig bra ut. Også området bak hotellet med solsenger og svømmebasseng var flott. Vi måtte betale 10€ pr natt for parkering, i overkant dyrt, det var stort […] sett ledig på gateplan utenfor. Det vi har å trekke på oppholdet vårt er at sengen på rommet var fryktelig hard og ubehagelig å ligge på. I tillegg var det mye bråk i gangene. 2 av 4 netter ble det banket på rommet vårt i løpet av natten, en gang rundt midnatt, den andre gangen ca kl 0545. Dette var ungdommer som sprang i gangene og banket på alle dørene, fryktelig plagsomt. Siste natten bestilte vi vekking kl 0530. Kl 2130 samme kveld ringte de fra resepsjonen for å bekrefte at vekkingen var kl 0530. Synes det var litt merkelig, men når de ikke ringte for å vekke oss før kl 0615, så er vi glad vi hadde på vekkerklokke selv, skuffende. Alt i alt et veldig fint hotell, men vi fikk vårt inntrykk litt ødelagt av småting som man forventer skal være på plass. Đọc thêm

Hotellet är mycket trevligt och personalen trivsam, frukosten är, som alla andra spanska frukostar, inget att skriva hem om, men den höll ändå bättre standard än vanligt. Det finns en lång strandpromenad på gångavstånd från hotellet, vill man kan man gå i timmar därifrån och upp i bergen.Hotellet rekommenderas varmt.

Ik had een Deluxe kamer geboekt, maar er was geen verschil met een gewone kamer. Bovendien zaten we aan de voorkant, waar we keken op de Lidle, had verwacht dat je met een Deluxe kamer aan de achterkant zou zitten, waar je een beter uitzicht had en het ook rustiger was. Het was bloedheet op de kamer, de airco deed het niet (ik was er in januari). Een […] raam open zetten was geen optie, door het lawaai. Verder was het erg massaal. Hotellet ligger sentralt i Albir, i kort avstand fra Altea og Benidorm. Fint og hyggelig hotell, god mat, spa i kjelleren. Har bodd der tre ganger og har allerede bestilt neste opphold, vi trives kjempegodt! :)

Hotellet hadde høy standard på fasilitetene, men å drive spa med kloret vann må vel være en vits? Jeg har selv jobbet på spa, og kloret vann er bannlyst. Skal vann ha en terapeutisk virkning, må det være helt rent. Hyggelig og profesjonelt personale. Rent og trivelig. Sengene var altfor harde.
