The Carriage House B&B - Ocean Grove

We appreciated the kind and helpful attention from our host. The decor was beautiful and peaceful.

Our recent stay at the Carriage House in Ocean Grove, NJ was in a word, excellent. The ocean view Room #4 was great. Very comfortable bed. Phil, the proprietor couldn't have been better to us and the breakfast he served was fantastic. One block to the ocean and one block to the center of town. Could only imagine what it would be like in the summer.

This hotel was very well-kept and tightly run. The breakfast was phenomenal, served on pretty china, with dainty utensils and thoughtful niceties, and we ate in front of fireplace. Our room was on the small side - though we were upgraded for free, because apparently the room we had originally booked was very small - but comfortable. The room wasn't […] spectacular in terms of decor, but was very cozy and comfortable, with a fireplace, and spotlessly clean. I didn't know what to expect (actually inquired if there was a curfew) since it was my first time to a B&B, but there's something nice about being on your best behavior. We loved our 2-night stay at the Carriage House and would definitely return again. We had a room on the top floor (#8) which had lots of light and a sitting area, we were very comfortable there. Our host Phil was wonderful, taking the time to give us advice about the restaurants and the area. The Carriage House is an elegant and graceful setting to enjoy Ocean Grove. The rooms are diverse, quaint and some are small, but your host and hostess ensure you are comfortable. The breakfasts are gourmet and served on fine china.

It was really nice & pretty! We have no car so it was a little hard to go to the bar&restaurants...but beach is 1block, owner was very kind, so i recommend this hotel.

I would recommend The Carriage House Bed & Breakfast to any one. The Breakfast was very tasty, everything was clean, this is very important, and the managers are very nice. If I had to give a grade I would give it an A+

As soon as you walk into the carriage house you are made to feel like you are home! beautiful cozy living room, and greeted by the owners who were extremly generous and nice. the breakfast was the best part, homemade and very nice dining area. we will definatly be back to stay again. It was only one block from the beach!

This was a wonderful place to stay, run by a very friendly couple. As there were only a few guests, I was upgraded to a bigger room. I was offered advice on the local area and where to eat. The next morning, breakfast was wonderful. A genuinely charming and comfortable place to stay!

Kathi and Phil are the consummate hosts, making my return after a day on the town or beach truly like coming home. They were always available to answer questions, make suggestions, or simply to visit and have a chat.. Carriage House is within walking distance of everything...morning board walks along the ocean beach, the Auditorium, center city cafes and shops, dinner and music along the Asbury Park boardwalk. What a pleasant surprise! Great location, great hosts, great food! Only have the best to say about this place. We won't hesitate to stay here again.

This was our first stay, just before the busy season began, and my partner and I were very pleased with delightful accomodations, wonderful breakfasts and hosts eager to please. We're already planning our end-if-summer mini-vacation at the Carriage House.

Nice place, well run, good food, one block from the beach and downtown. My wife enjoyed the little "extras".

I only spent one night at the Carriage House, but I wish I had had more time to spend there. The host and hostess were very welcoming and pleasant. The owners make you feel like family. The place is beautiful. I had to leave earlier then breakfast was served and she still fixed me a beautiful breakfast. I will definately stay there again.

Phil and Kathy are fine hosts and made us feel welcome in our all-too-brief return to our former Ocean Grove neighborhood. The room was comfortable. It was arguably a bit small but I imagine that's typical for B&Bs at the shore.

Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und das Frühstück war sehr gut und auch alles sehr dekorativ herge- richtet. Die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll, passend zum Stil des Hauses eingerichtet. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und werden auf unserer Rückreise dort nochmals übernachten.

Charming town of Ocean Grove, linked to Asbury Park by a beautiful boardwalk. Relaxing atmosphere. Very nice rooms at the B&B, some with partial seaview. Very stylish breakfast room, nice buffet. Use of microwave and fridge possible. Additional drinks, soda's for just $1. Great hideout to explore the NJ shore !!
