I was at the hotel during an ice storm in the area. The lady at the front desk was very helpful. There is not a restaurant at the hotel. Due to the bad roads, the food delivery places in the local area was not running. Without asking I received a call from the front desk informing me of the one place that was delivering. It was very helpful. The people […] working there were very friendly, and went out of their way to make sure the hotel guests were taken care of, even during a very bad ice storm that made their jobs much more difficult. I chose this hotel because of the good reviews and I was not disappointed! the only complaint I have is no coffee service in the rooms, and outside access. But it was clean and felt safe. The staff are very helpful and friendly!..breakfast was adequate.. The Lobby is very clean and inviting. Although "Budget Lodging" sounds like a motel chain, it apparently is a single motel. What a shame! It is clearly an older motel but it shows what can be done when an owner cares and has pride in keeping his property in tiptop shape and in giving value and friendly service. It is testament to how the little guy can compete. Comfy beds, plenty of hot […] water, good heat on a snowy night, a friendly,accomodating desk clerk upon arrival...all added up to a great stay. There was free hot, fresh popcorn and coffee in the lobby too. I have traveled frequently on business over the last 20 years as a service technician. From that view point, it was one of the most comfortable hotels I have stayed in. A coffee pot in the room would have made it perfect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in or around the area.

Our overnight stay was comfortable, clean and friendly. Only downside was we couldn't find a restaurant for supper. We did find a hamburger place close by, but a couple other places were closed.

The accomodations were very clean and satisfactory. Not over the top in luxury. We appreciated the lower cost of rooms and the counter staff were all welcoming and helped us meet our accomodation needs. Some items were not provided that most hotels have (shampoo, soap, lotion). Ever noticed how well things are and go when the people working their like what they are doing? From cleaning service to front desk day or night I felt welcome. That directly translate to the facility - even though it is a true Budget Motel. I highly recommend staying there and and I will stop by again should my travels take me along I-44 again!

I would stay at this place again when we come back up. but the only problem me n my fincee had was that we had some weird stuff happing in our hotel room. our bathroom light would go off and on and u would hear things but other than that me and my fincee would deffently go back

Do not eat at Gibby's restaurant (recommended by the evening desk clerk.) My burger was well on its way to being beef jerky. The floor was dirty. Walls patched. Tables uncleared. Find another place to eat. Upon complaining the morning hotel desk clerk said we should have gone to the Lewis restaurant.

We chose this hotel because it was along our route to Meramec Caverns. It was one of the only hotels that didn't do a per person up charge or made up fees. Just the price of the hotel + standard tax. My only complaint would be the beds are not super comfortable and the breakfast was just ok. Pool was great, clean, and I appreciate that it was a family […] oriented hotel and there was not a lot of partying going on. The staff were all pleasant and would do there best to accommodate. Please don't let the name Budget Lodging fool you into thinking this is just some cheap motel. The rooms are cleaner than some fancy hotels I've stayed in. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. The pool is clean is very well kept. They offer free popcorn and coffee 24/7. The breakfast is good. Biscuits and gravy, dry cereal, oatmeal, waffles, […] toast, bagels and juice or milk. It was a great place to stop for the night on a long trip. Price was good and the place was very clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. I plan to make this my new halfway stop when I go to visit my son in Ohio.

Very good hotel - especially for the very low rate. Clean and quiet, although don't get a room directly adjacent to the ice machine/vending room on the first floor. The door to that room slams shut with a very loud bang at least if you're in room # 36. Otherwise, I'd definitely stay there again. Desk clerk was very friendly and helpful.

Staff was wonderful. Hotel very well maintained. Breakfast not the best- no Fresh Fruit- (canned fruit cocktail), No bar but fresh popdcorn every night! Convenient to Auguta and Herman, Good supermarket close by. Beds not bad at all . I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely would recommend and if I go to area agina will stay there again.

It was a very nice place to stay. I didn't expect it to be as nice as it was. The staff were also wonderful and very helpful. It was not an issue for me but the hotel was 20 miles from six flags and not 11. However since you are on the highway it only takes 10-15 mins to get there and easy to find. I will reserve rooms there again.

This motel is family-owned, and the service was impeccable. Debbie and Tom were super-friendly, and the room was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was so-so. This is a wonderful treat between St. Louis and Springfield.

The rooms were very homey & big, 4 adults were not crowded. Would have been nice to have had a coffee maker in the room. Not having a flat scrren TV was not a big deal, the problem was how the tv was mounted. My husband hit his head a couple times when getting up in the middle of the night. Everything was clean & tidy. This is not a fancy place, but it was clean and well-kept, and I certainly felt safe even though I was alone. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The free popcorn in the lobby was a nice touch as well.
