Sea Beach Plaza - Fort Lauderdale

It was good value for what we paid, 3 minute walk to the beach, great trolly service, close to the airport..helpful staff. I would stay there again, my mom especially enjoyed her stay.

The room was very inexpensive, was with a kitchenette, and close to shopping and dining areas. I would've liked the windows to be covered with heavy draperies in addition to the venetian blinds. The rooms are very dirty. We were told they must have forgotten to clean the room. However, we weren't moved to another room. There is no air conditioner in the bedroom. Extremely uncomfortable being that it is Ft. Lauderdale, FL in April!!

I can't even put into words the utter disgust and anger that this experience left me with. I NEVER write reviews but this one could not be passed up. The location is right across the street from the beach which awesome incase you need to run to the room for something. The room on the other hand is not so nice. I did not get a good sleep. You were able tohear all other guests all hours of the night. The only good thing about it was The location. It was near the beach.

Great location and cheap. Rooms were very poorly maintained, but were clean. If you are looking for a cheap place to crash, this is it. Staff was helpful and mostly friendly.I was overall happy with the money I saved. Just keep expectations low.

My low remarks are in no way directed towards the staff/owners and their attitudes, but the condition of the motel. Because they were so nice and friendly, I feel bad writing a terrible review, but the truth must be told. The location is great, with the beach right across the street and the strip within walking distance. However, the motel room was […] horrible. It was as clean as they could get it, but the furniture is outdated and not matching. The plaster was cracked, or missing all around the room and especially the bathroom. The toilet wouldn't flush, the ceramic tile in the bathroom was all cracked and the bathtub looked like it's been there since the 70's. This room had a mini-kitchen right next to the bed, but the refrigerator had rust spots all over the side that was showing. There was a closet in the open next to the sink with mix matched hangers, and an iron on the top shelf (no ironing board) of the closet which looked as if could collapse at any time. Honestly, I won't stay here ever again. I didn't feel comfortable going to the bathroom, showering or even going to sleep. The staff was great, but come on and spend some money and re-do the place. Biggest plus for this older motel is location and price. . . car not needed. Easy walk to beaches, restaurants, marina, and water taxi. Physical condition of motel is somewhat below average (paint chipping off wall, loose toilet lid, few electrical outlets). It was ok for an overnight stop! The next day we were off to a cruise ship so it was good for just an overnight sleep. The pictures on the internet don't quite capture the exact condition of the hotel.

SECURITY WAS HORRIBLE. THE DOOR DID NOT SHUT WELL, THE LOCK WOULD NOT HOLD. It's a decent economy hotel, near the beach. Staff are friendly. My room had a small kitchenette which was useful in whipping up a meal instead of buying it in a restaurant.

We stayed in this hotel 2 nights before going on a cruise trip. We think the price of the hotel is very good for its convenient location to the beach. The room is large with two queen beds, a night table, a dresser, a couch, a sofa chair, a kitchen table and chairs, a long with a decent size fridge and a microwave. The location of this old style motel is perfect and you can't beat the price. The bed was very comfortable and once I figured out you just need to wait several minutes for the hot water to get to the room, you had plenty and at a VERY high temperature. For being less than a block from the beach it's an amazing find, thanks to the management for making this available. Due to the pool in the middle of the somewhat U-shaped building it can be a bit noisy as people talk, open and close doors, etc. Bring ear plugs and you won't need to worry about this. Some people say the neighborhood isn't nice or safe. I had no issues at any time of day or night and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. For the money, you simply cannot complain about this hotel. It is an older facility, but the location is great, within walking distance of most local attractions and the staff is friendly and very helpful. If you are just looking for a cheap place to sleep at night this is the hotel for you!

Once I open the door to my room I was taken back by the smell of mold. There was visiable water damage in the bathroom and the kitchen looked less than inviting. The poorly washed top bed sheets had stains.
