Alabare Guest house - Salisbury

I found the hosts to be friendly and helpful and the room was fine--would have liked a desk but not a serious flaw. the hotel is an easy few minutes to the Cathedral close and town and the price is significantly less than most of the other offerings...good value!

The guest house was very nice. Just on the edge of the main part of town, it afforded easy access without the activity if it were in town. Close to many sights in South West.

Be aware that there may not be anyone at the guest house prior to the 4:00 scheduled check in. So unless you make special arrangement, don't count on dropping off items before heading out to see the sights.

Very pleased with, the hotel, close proximity to town centre, and staff. very friendly and welcoming. On the down side (which didn't affect our stay) we thought we had booked an on suite.

Nice location, very quiet and peaceful, the room was basic but clean, and the showers were very clean with clean towels, bed was quite uncomfortable, the breakfast was very nice and plentiful, but could have been hotter. Overall quite pleasant for an overnight stay.

I stayed for one night in a twin room with en suite. It was clean, comfortable and pleasant, if a little old fashioned. The staff were polite and helpful and I got an enormous cooked breakfast in the morning which was very tasty and very welcome! I was also able to park my car securely in the locked car park, which was very useful. It is close to the […] city centre and station, within walking distance of places to get lunch or an evening meal. If you are looking for a clean comfortable bed and a nice breakfast during your stay this place is perfect! However, if you are expecting luxury I suggest you try somewhere else. Overall, our stay was satisfactory, and for a guest house very good.. The only thing that I cab complain about is the cost of laundry. We sent out 4 shirts, 6 pairs of underwear, 6 pairs of sox and 4 ladies tops. The bill came to 90 pounds, which was just a bit to much.

A fantastic, all round good old English guest house experience. Friendly staff in a rustic setting. Breakfast was good and on time. Television and free wireless internet in the room. They have their own free car park that is secured by a large iron gate with an intercom. After we checked out, the guest house owner let us leave the car parked in their […] car park while we walked around Salisbury. He also provided us with the combination to electronically open the gate so that we could retrieve our car at any time. That's what I call good customer service. The guest house was part of a church, although you wouldn't know it unless you were told, and after reviewing their charity contributions to disabled children I was amazed at the work they have done in the area. The house was near the center of Salisbury. You can walk to the cathedral and other locations. This house is a Christian based community. The owner/manager, John, was very pleasant. Our room was LOVELY!

The guest hotel is far from city center and there is no hot water supply in night for bathing...very old and unfriendly furniture...not recommend to stay.

Wir waren auf der Durchreise und für eine Zwischenübernachtung ist das Gästehaus voll in Ordnung. Es liegt sehr zentral zur Innenstand und den Sehenswürdigkeiten.
