The hotel is in a convenient location in a lovely old building. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. A bedside lamp in the room would have made it more pleasant to be in, but it was clean and comfortable. I would be happy to stay here again.

Great hostel in what seems to have been an old villa. Rooms are on the first and second floor. An old cage elevator will get you there safely and reliably. Five minutes from Placa de Catalunya. Great starting point for various walking tours including Sagrada Familia and Casa Mila.

From checking in to checking out, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, not that I had any problems with my stay. The hotel was easy to find and my room was ready when I checked in. As good as the surrounding neighbourhood was, being safe and within easy reach of shops and cash machines and as nice as the hotel was, my lasting memory was the friendliness of the staff. The lack of disabled facilities is the only negative I could point out so if you have significant mobility problems, this hotel probably isn't for you though they do openly say so. Hotel was a little difficult to spot only has a small bronze plaque on the side. Need to ring the buzzer. We enjoyed our stay very much. Once the shutters were closed up, the room was very quiet and loved the high ceilings and big tall windows looking out on little balcony. Easy to find and come back to for a rest.The shower was tiny, but the rather funny and it worked well, that is the main thing.Owners were very pleasant and nice and clean.

Had no complaints about this stay. Using the vintage elevator is alone worth the visit! From here one can get to most places in town by foot without too much effort. Lots of character. Location is pretty good for touristy stuff - Placa Catalunya is only 10 minutes away. However the fact that the whole hotel was an apartment makes you hear every flush of a toilet, every door slam. We could even hear the whole conversation in the room next door, even though noone was yelling.

I only stayed one night at the Girona before travelling south to a music festival in Benicassim. I was looking for somewhere cheap, close to the metro that was clean and comfortable. this is a hostel - so shared bathroom, etc was expected. The room was not modern or refurbished, but was quite comfortable (with a newly refurbished sink area). Le daría un 10 si no fuera porque la puerta del cuarto en la parte de arriba tenía un cristal que no estaba suficientemente tapado para que no entrase la luz del pasillo cuando alguien encendía la luz, y eso me impidió dormir bien. Una pena, porque el hostal y el cuarto están super bien, muy bonitos y bien cuidados.

Vi var i Barcelona två dagar för att se stadens sevärdheter. Därför hade vi inte så stora krav på boendet mer än att det skulle vara centralt, vi skulle i princip bara sova där. Ich hatte eine Übernachtung im Einzelzimmer gebucht. Der Preis war sehr günstig und das Hotel liegt auch ziemlich zentral. Zu Fuss kann man in 10 min zum Plaza Catalunya gehen, wo auch der Aerobus vom Flughafen hält. Die Altstadt ist ebenfalls sehr nahe. Das Hotel ist eigentlich ein Teil einer alten, ehemals hochherrschaftlichen Wohnung im dritten Stock […] eines Hauses, evtl. aus der Jahrhunderwende. Die Möblierung besteht Antiquitäten und der uralte Käfigaufzug im Treppenhaus ist witzig. Mein Zimmer war eigentlich ein geteiltes, größeres Zimmer, die Wand entsprechend dünn. Dadurch dass die Räume extrem hoch sind kann da schon ein beklemmendes Gefühl aufkommen. Das Zimmer war wegen der dünnen Wand und durch das alte Fenster (5mm Spalt) auch sehr hellhörig (Fernseher, Autos). Die Tür hatte ebenfalls einen 5mm Spalt unten und oben, sodass man Geräusche der Gäste gut mitbekam. Heizung war vorhanden, wenn auch nicht regelbar und die dünnen Woll-Bettdecken waren noch ausreichend (Januar). Das Zimmer hatte ein Waschbecken und die Toilette/Dusche auf dem Flur, was aber völlig o.k. war. Die anderen Gäste waren überwiegend jüngere Pärchen, - freundlich und unauffällig. Das Hotelpersonal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Alles in allem für eine Nacht völlig in Ordnung. Man sollte Ohrstöpsel nicht vergessen. Ohne Frühstück. Unten auf der (nachts größtenteils ruhigen) Strasse gibt’s ein kleines Eckcafe und einen lange geöffneten Spätkauf. Für Kurzaufenthalte von 1-2 Tagen zu empfehlen. Đọc thêm
