Very comftable and great service with vfm. The location was ideal for where i was working.

Hotels is a good standard s you would expect from a HI, the only watch out is the parking , it's very limited on site and means you have to park across the carriage way and walk through an underpass.

stayed here many times and its really not bad, but i do wish these big chains especially would sort out internet access. Why does it iahve to be complicated and so expensive. Just stick 50p on every room every night and provide it for free through out the whole hotel and at a decent speed.

Hotel was great, very clean and nicely decorated. Parking for me and I expect many others could be an issue. Only Executive Club Members can park in hotel. All other parking is across the very busy road in Metered parking area. One way system to get to the car park, once parked access to the hotel is via a pedestrian underpass which at night is not […] good. No parking for a Holiday Inn if you don't book a exec room is out of order - you have to pay £3.50 to park across the busy dual carraigeway in a public car park. No free internet as well - another minus point. Room clean & modern & food was good.

I had booked a Executive room for one night, the only issues I can mention that I came across during my stay, tv didn't work limited channel, only one bath robe in room and some very ropy towels! This was an ideal base for our weekend trip to London. Stevenage railway was only a few minutes walk from the hotel and about 30 mins to Kings Cross station. For the price we paid for our stay this was far cheaper than the expensive hotels in central London and also some budget hotels. Rooms were clean and comfortable and had all the modern facilities […] expected of a 4 star hotel. Staff were helpful. We made use of the mini gym and although only had a few pieces of kit and weights it was sufficient to workout out for an hour or so. A prebooked breakfast cost £10 and was good quality with ample variety. Car parking cost £3.50 for our stay in a local car park over the road from the hotel. This hotel was first class and staff were very efficient. Food was good and restaurant staff friendly. Room was a good size and so was the bathroom. It's a good location if you want to visit Knebworth Park which is a must see. It's a quick train trip from London and would have been even better if the sun had shone. It was worth the money paid for the room. It is a shame the last room stayers didn't report the broken plug in the bath before us, never mind, the next people may have a nicer showering experience with an operable plug! Having no onsite parking was a bit of a downer but they do discount the public parking across the road so that was almost convenient. […] Overall, the room suited the need. We only stayed one night in this hotel, but I was so impressed the room was gorgeous and the location and hotel was brilliant. Would highly recommend.

Excellent service. Very clean hotel, breakfast was good, hot and lots of choice. Very comfortable beds and excellent service from the staff. Perfect location from the point of view of getting into London quickly and cheaply.

I wasn't really expecting much from our one-night stay but was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Room was modern, clean etc and comfy bed. Only complaint was the light in the bathroom that wouldn't turn off and lack of biscuits with the coffee making facilities. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable and would recommend it for a place to stay. (didnt seem to be a lot around i.e bars etc but then i didnt look) A bit noisy by the dual carriage way but didn't spoil my sleep. The parking facilities were over the other-side of the dual carriage way but this was not so clear. On arrival i turned in to the car […] park adjacent to the hotel. It was quite full but i left it in a temporary spot to check in my bag. The unclear parking caused me some stress but It need not have been as the arrangements are quite reasonable when you know. Leaving it in the adjacent car park seemed fine and reception suggested i could freshen up before moving the car. (not sure if the adjacent car park is also available to the lucky few that found a spot.) A hotel porter even accompanied me to the car park to walk me back under the subway as it was late at night and i was a lone woman. The reception validate the token for guests in the morning. I spent an enjoyable seven days at this hotel, attending a training course and as a guest. The reception staff were very pleasant, especially Natasha. The facilities were fine and the room comfortable. The hotel is very handy to the train station (about ten minutes' walk) and is also near plently of shopping and leisure facilities. Do not be put off by the outward appearance of this Hotel, it is situated in a busy urban area. Once inside it is a delight. The hotel is clean, the staff are brilliant and the rooms are spacious and modern. The breakfast was also plentiful and well presented. I cannot fault it and would definately stay there again.
