overall a pleasant stay apart from first night because the room was close to the road and there was a lot of traffic noise. Very friendly and helpful staff who upgraded our room without extra charge. rooms are spacious and beds comfortable. Motel lacks lounge and restaurant area. Good value would stay there again.

Once again we arrive after office is closed for the evening. Used night phone to contact and management had securely placed our room key and check-in details sheet read and awaiting our arrival. Good service for travellers whim are unsure as to exact arrival times. Room location was good, nice quite area at night even though is on main road, we had […] no traffic noise. When booked room , WiFi was listed having a surcharge, but a note was left as an upgrade to give complimentary WiFi for our stay as we had booked for 3 nights. Service overall Excellent. The only little let down was that the King Bed was made from 2 single beds joined, so gave me impression the room was also made available as a family room . Enjoyed our stay and would stay again . This was the nicest place we have been in so far. It was far beyond our expectations.. The condo was absolutely perfect!! Best stay ever. We give it a 10!!

We had a two bedroom apartment with lakeviews. Extensively furnished for six, well appointed throughout, incl internet, phone, bath, laundry, and fantastic outlook. Greg was really helpful and informative (accurately). Really thought it was first class!

Nice clean modern hotel, but only things that let it down for me were: 1. Location- website writes the address as Queenstown however it is really in Frankton which is 5 km from QT. ok if you have a car or don't mind taking the bus back and forth. 2. Hotel is located on the main road so the traffic noise is pretty loud for the rooms at the back -ask […] for a waterfront room. 3. I got a standard hotel room, which was unfortunately a room linked to an apartment with a locked door in between. This location is not walk friendly -- i.e. it's about 1.5km from the main area of town so if you plan to walk to town it's not the best location. That said it was a VERY NICE ROOM. Overall a great stay, a small glitch with the wifi but the reception staff were really helpful and even allowed us to make free phone calls until it was fixed!

This was a very spacious and comfortable apartment. It was exceptionally clean. Our suite had lovely views. The staff were very helpful. We hope to go back (next time there's a wonderful deal like the one we were lucky enough to book). We had a wonderful break, thank you.

far from town, the wifi never works...the beds are very very bad! a lake view is more like a parking lot view. good stuff is they are big, and very clean..and modern

Lovely comfortable rooms. Breakfast provided was very generous. Staff helpful, however we were hit with a bike hire fee at the end of our stay that they did not pre warn us about...Don't mind paying but better to inform guests before hire!

Great room, very clean. A little far from Queenstown if you're walking, but a short drive. Early checkout at 10 am may be inconvenient for some.

Very friendly staff with good knowledge of the area and activities. The girl that checked us in was especially helpful and a genuine credit to the hotel. Its a new hotel which is clean, modern, and tidy. The most striking thing of the place was the manager who was very very helpful to all the customers. Was letting check in earlier when ever room was ready without any fuss. he was helpful in organizing tours and even let his computer and printer use which was exceptional for any hotel managers. Only […] draw back was its about4-5km away from city but a frequent bus leaves just opposite to hotel and takes you to city in 5-7 min with only 4$. From airport bus can drop you next to hotel and is only 2-3 km away from airport. Eating places is about 1 km walking distance towards the airport. Nando (halal), burger king, mcdonalds subway all are 1km distance away but it is uphil walk. If you book a tour it can pick u up right opposite to hotel where the bus stop is. A second stay within 12 months and the quality of the experience was undiminished! Welcoming, helpful staff and luxurious, comfortable and well maintained apartment and second room. A party of seven was effortlessly accomodated this year, who knows how many will attempt to tag-along for the likely return next year!

We enjoyed our stay at the Mantra Marina in a 2 bedroom apartment. The rooms are big, clean, and beautifully decorated. The staff are helpful and friendly and were happy to help out with tour bookings, calling taxis etc, and went the extra mile for us which we really appreciated. There were a couple of things that you might want to watch when you book […] though. Our room had a lovely big balcony that looked out over a gorgeous lake, with a view of snow capped mountains in the distance, but if you look to the right you have a view of a carpark and the back of some businesses, and the closer to this carpark your room is, the more of it you are going to be looking at. The TV reception would sometimes cut in and out and the toilet doors squeaked enough to be an issue at night. Also the sound proofing was a bit of an issue, as for 2 nights we had the sound of a baby that cried and cried through our adjoining door and that got a bit distressing. However, none of these things were massive issues and overall the stay was really nice and we had a great time. We walked to Queenstown one night and it took about an hour and a half, but is a lovely walk along the lake, or the bus service is excellent and the stop is right outside the motel. Toilet: Needs a Toilet brush to clean the toilet seat. Needs a towel hungup heater driyer (what ever they call it inside the bathroom). Needs to add a breakfast to be provided with the package or to be pay ..because the hotel is far from the city. thank you

Loved this hotel. Beautifully fitted out modern rooms. Even had heated floors in bathrooms. Had a two bedroom apartment with breathtaking views across the lake. Fully self contained and open plan living. When asked, reception loaned us a Bose Ipod docking station for our music. Greg, the manager, was very helpful.He booked a couple of trips at dicount […] prices for us. Jetboat cruise and Milford Sound plane and river cruise (highly recommended). Make sure you get a front room on second level. We have rtravelled around the world and Queenstown is truly one of the most breathtaking places to visit. Only a 3.5 hour flight form Australia. We had an upstairs apartment with a wonderful view of the lake and some of the surrounding mountains. The apartment is very well appointed in every respect, and good value for money.

Even though we went for the cheapest room that was available it was beautifully presented along with a fabulous breakfast. Make sure you get a full apartment. Do not stay here if you are going for "just a room". the apartments have beautiful lake view etc. The rooms however are dark, cramped and turn towards the main roads and require earplugs. Everything very clean and new though.

Fantastic accommodation! We stayed at the Mantra Marina for a 4 night romantic getaway in May 2012. We stayed in a two bedroom apartment overlooking the lake in Queenstown (the view was incredible). The room was immaculate, warm, modern and spacious. Staff were really friendly too! I couldn't rave about his place enough! I would stay here again - HOWEVER- […] be warned this hotel is NOT walking distance from Queenstown CBD, something they do reiterate when you book, so we knew that walking would not be an option. We had a hire car, which i believe is probably essential to make the perfect stay here. If you can afford, a cab is roughly $20-$25 each way into the town centre. I think buses are also available. This is a great choice for people who are attending a conference or other event at the Southern Lakes events centre. It's easy to get to, very comfortable, and the price is quite reasonable.

Quality: Housekeeping left our door propped open all day while we were away. People could walk into our room and steal our stuff for over 7 hours before we got back!!! When I talked to the hotel management they didn't even seem concerned. What do you pay a hotel for if not to have a room to lock your stuff in! Also, the fire alarm went off in the hotel […] while we were there. We followed the instructions on our door to evacuate. The hotel staff never came to the evacuation area and never told us what was happening. When we told them about this they suggested maybe we'd heard an alarm from somewhere else, once again trying to deflect responsibility for a serious situation. Cleanliness: We left out our breakfast dishes one morning as we hurried off to our Doubtful Sound tour. We arrived back at the hotel to find the cleaning staff had put the dishes away without washing them. There were milk rings in the bowls, banana pieces on the knives, etc. Comfort: They advertised a King bed. Really it was two smaller beds pushed together like cruise ships often do. perfect hotel close to airport, if you have a car, this is the best hotel to be, room is amazing, clean and neat, the only problem is you can hear your neighbor in the other room, so depends on how noisy they are, otherwise, the rooms is just perfect.

It is very convenient if you need something near the airport. The views are nice and the facilities are fine. However, it is very far from the city relative to other/better options for the same price in the city. The motel is on the edge of town and close to the airport but does not suffer from airport noise. The facilities are very modern and the rooks and suites with a lake view are spectacular.it is well worth considering for a stay in Queenstown.

Reception service was outstanding. Had 2 hotel rooms reserved and was upgraded to very spacious 2 BR apartment. They also gave good advice and booked activities for us with nice discounts. Location outside of town but convenient since we were driving and parking in town can get pricey.

The rooms are spectacular, but make sure that you book a suite, NOT what they call a "hotel room." The latter a tiny, have no views and are noisy because they're on a very busy road.
