Gingerbread Manor - Montreal

The Gingerbread was everything we read about and more. We enjoyed our stay and found the hosts most entertaining. We plan to stay there next year.

Great place to bring your partner if your looking for a romantic and comfortable weekend in the city of Montreal. Prime location between St. Denis and St.Laurent. Very close to Metro and man that bed was comfy!!!!

This B &n B is run by two men, one was was very nice and the other had a difficult personality. He was very fussy about who sat where for breakfast, and at what time. The first day we were sent away because we came downstairs too early, and the second day we had to wait an extra hour because there wasn't enough room for us. He seemed not to like Americans. […] The food was excellent 2 days, and barely another. The hosts were great. We had yogurt brulee for breakfast. Take their advice on where to eat. Pack light. No elevator. Neighborhood parks are full of young people and performers (who will leave you alone if you like). Very cool spot.

Efram and Yves the hosts of Gingerbread Manor were wonderful. Their B&B was everything the website stated. It was located in a great area close to everything, restaurants, Old Montreal etc. Breakfast was DELICIOUS and the highlight of our stay. All in all it was a great stay and we would definitely stay again when we return to Montreal.

We were very comfortable. Ephram and Guy were fun to talk to and know lots and lots about restaurant/food destinations. As it turns out, there was street parking available, but we were a little tight for time so we parked at le bibliotheque national, about 3-4 blocks away, near the bus station. It was convenient and inexpensive--$12 for 24 hours.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Frontenac room at the Gingerbread Manor. We were concerned about the shared bathroom, but., to be honest, it was never an issue at all. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable, and our hosts, Yves & Ephraim, are friendly, funny, and extremely knowledgeable. They went above and beyond […] to make our stay enjoyable, even making recommendations and reservations for meals, and emailing a coupon to us! Seriously, where do you find that kind of service? Great neighborhoods, restaurants, and the metro are just steps away. We parked the car and enjoyed this wonderful, walkable city! I stayed here for 2 nights. The place is great - much character and excellent friendly hosts with the most. It is not a luxury palace but if you want a quite room with lots of charm in a brilliant shopping location in walking distance to all city sights, this is it. Located on a leafy side-street. We loved staying here. The location is great, the hosts are friendly and make wonderful breakfasts! It was my first B&B experience, and a very good one. Two things missing from Gingerbread Manor are odors of any kind and chintz. We stayed for two nights and wished we could have stayed longer. Ephraim and Yves were wonderfully helpful and candid, breakfast was delicious and thoughtful, and the other guests staying while we were there were fantastic. The neighborhood is great and the central location […] worked out wonderfully. We did not have a rental car nor planned on one so the proximity to the train, bus lines and Bixi rentals was really nice. There are parks in just about every direction a few minutes walk away as well as great restaurants and shopping. As for the lack of odors what I mean is no potpourri, no mustiness, just nice and clean. Altes sehr schönes Haus in zentraler Lage zu gemütlichen Restaurants und zur Metro.Alles zu Fuß erreichbar.Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und besonders das Bad ist ein Genuß.Am besten jedoch ist das Frühstück!!
