The best hotel, the peoples are great very helpful! I will come back again next time love it!

Charming old building in funky compbination with refurbished factory. Nice small spa and great garden area. Food was excellent and the stay was all round great. Only minus, very small bathrobes....

This was the most beautiful hotel I've stayed in in a long time........beautiful buildings and grounds, extremely friendly and efficient service, not right in the center of town but that was nice (only a 2 minute cab ride or a 20min walk). worth every single penny

Our experience of this hotel was fantastic. The room was lovely, we had a nice view and contrary to reviews that we had read before staying, the restaurant food was very good and exceeded our expectations - only the tomato soup was a disappointment. However I'm of Portuguese heritage and so no fazed by cabbage soup or salt cod (bacalhau) appearing on […] the menu, whereas I can understand that someone not accustomed to these flavours may not be impressed. The hotel itself is right on the river with beautiful gardens. Unfortunately, are arrival was delayed and as we had an early check-out we had not opportunity to check out the area, but first impressions were that there was not a lot within walking distance. Nice new hotel which opened for the first time in October 2009. We were told that they've been sold out every night since. We choose the hotel based on the historical factor - having been a palace. \that being said the rooms are all new and modern/contemporary with all the modern conveniences. Rooms are not in the historical palace as they only have […] meetings and food service in that building so rooms are all in the adjacent building which was a mill at one time but again - fully gutted and rebuilt into superior accommodations. The beds were like the westin heavenly beds. The pool and patio bar were supperb and the safe was very pleasant. Only negative things about this property are that the location is abit withdrawn from downtown porto and porto can be difficult to navigate by car (no close subway line either) so your best to use taxis to and from. Also the food service was exemplary in the restuarant but room service was quite lacking as it was offthe poolside menu and was predominantly sandwiches - which if you're travelling with an infant who has gone to sleep for the night leaves you quite unsatisfied. No nearby restaurants either which really isn't an issue unless you're travelling with young children and tied to a very rigid schedule for their naps and feedings. El edificio historico muy impresionante,el personal muy amable ,pero en los comedores hace un poco de frio.el spa muy bueno .habitaciones amplias y comodas.La comida un poco justa por el precio,jardines y entorno fantastico.

très joli hôtel, chambres très confortables, piscine intérieure très agréable, personnel froid et moyennement agréable

É difícil chegar ao hotel, pois o endereço não consta no GPS, nem o hotel. É preciso colocar o endereço do Museu da Imprensa, que é vizinho ao hotel.

A Pousada é excelente mas em termos de relação qualidade/preço o preço é demasiado elevado. Já fiquei em várias Pousadas do grupo por metade do preço e com condições superiores a estas. Saliento a beleza do Palácio (mas que não é onde se encontram os quartos) e a paisagem. Menos positivo o acesso aos quartos, as piscinas pequenas e o espaço exíguo onde […] se encontra colocado o pequeno-almoço. Pessoal muito simpático e competente embora existam falhas na leitura das reservas (solicitei um berço que não estava no quarto quando entrei - apesar de o terem colocado de imediato após ter solicitado). Alt var bare fantastisk. Hyggelig personale, nydelig hotel, god mat, og grei beliggenhet. Gåavstand til sentrum for dem som liker å gå, tok ca 40 min. Kan anbefales.

EXCELENTE LOCALIZAÇÃO , VISTAS BELÍSSIMAS, FUNCIONÁRIOS MUITO ATENCIOSOS E UM EXCELENTE CAFÉ DA MANHÃ. RECOMENDO A HOSPEDAGEM A TODOS.

O hotel é muito bonito, além de ter uma linda vista, tem quartos bons, amplos. Reservei 5 quartos e todos vieram com camas separadas, pedi a recepção para mudar e disseram que não era possível. Une superbe rénovation je recommande vivement cet établissement. Je suis très exigeante sur la propreté et j'ai été agréablement surprise. Un hotel très bien insonorisé. De beaux volumes, des chambres bien conçues meublées avec st yle. Beaucoup de charme et de raffinement .Très joli buffet petit déjeuner.

L'Hotel è dislocato in un contesto meraviglioso, vicino al Palazzo do Freixo (le camere sono di fronte, in un ex-tabacchificio restaurato, il ristorante si trova nel Palazzo dell'architetto italiano Nasoni). I giardini curati, il panorama sul Douro, la piscina esterna e quella interna, i mobili d'antiquariato nelle sale e nei corridoi ne fanno un luogo […] speciale e magico dove passare notti romantiche. Purtroppo i piumoni non erano di mio gradimento, e negli spazi interni bisognerebbe arieggiare maggiormente. Non lo consiglierei a chi è asmatico, sia per la moquette presente persino in ristorante, sia per le tende molto pesanti e difficili da pulire bene. Il servizio dello staff è ottimo e ineccepibile: lo staff si prende cura dei bagagli e si viene accompagnati direttamente alla camera. Al ristorante, di ottima qualità come servizio (i camerieri sono attenti e scrupolosi), la cucina portoghese è rielaborata in chiave moderna: troverete antipasti delicati e risotti eccellenti (ottimo il risotto con pere, noci, parmigiano e funghi). La colazione è indimenticabile e abbondante: ci si può persino versare spumante, per chi gradisce la colazione salata. A disposizione dei clienti ricchi buffet dolci e salati: frutta fresca, brioches, marmellate di mela cotogna e in vasetto di vetro, paste sfoglie, yogurt, mandorle, uvetta, panini con semi di girasole e sesamo, etc; pesce affumicato, salumi, formaggi. Divino!!!! Vistas gloriosas sobre o Douro

O Palácio está muito bem cuidado e a idéia de usar a antiga fábrica ao lado para fazer os quartos foi ótima. Ficou muito bom! A comida do hotel deixa a desejar, tanto no restaurante como o serviço de quarto, não tem nem um menu do restaurante no quarto, não tem número para ligar direto e a recepção demorar para atender. Hotel excelente. Instalações novas e modernas associadas a um palácio medieval muito bem preservado. Bem localizado. Às margens do rio Douro. Recomendo! Mas a internet deveria ser gratuita!
