The hotel was clean and in a very convenient location near Rijks museum. It is also well served by trams and busses even at night so getting back was never a problem. The breakfast was good, and the staff were helpful. Sadly the single room I stayed in was so small that there was hardly any space to put the suitcase, and there was no wifi (which is […] true for most of amsterdam). There was a little bit of street noise - mainly old trams - but it was not a problem. Our stay was a great experience at the Hotel Washington. We're were given the option of changing our reservation to an apartment when we arrived, which was excellent if up a flight of 40 stairs. A good gauge of your sobriety if you are young enough to need this, lol. If you are a bit older or have bad knees etc. I would recommend requesting a ground […] floor room. The bathroom in our apartment was very large, water very hot, and unlike some places I've stayed in Europe the windows all opened. The kitchen in the apartment had everything we needed to cook while we were there, although we did not cook for breakfast as a nice continental breakfast was part of our room rate. Cereal, toast, scrambled eggs, coffee, tea and juices were available and a wide selection of breads... the sweet belgium waffles were a treat to be had. The location was right around the corner from the Museumplien and down the road from almost anything you could possibly want to see. Nice and quiet at night, beautiful neighborhood with very friendly locals. I would recommend this Hotel over staying downtown by the station or other trendy locales. We booked a double/twin with a shared bathroom, ended up in room 25B (I think) in the basement. The room was pretty big, with plenty of space/seating. We requested a double room if possible and got 2 twin beds pushed together but that was fine! The only thing the room seemed to be missing was a mirror, but it wasn't a big deal to go out into the corridor […] or bathroom. The shared bathroom was quite big and very clean, with a good shower! Plenty of choice at breakfast - warm croissants, toast, bread rolls, cereal, yoghurt, fruit juices, cheese, ham, waffles, fresh cooked eggs, etc. On the 2nd night we were 'upgraded' to an ensuite room (8) which was on the 3rd floor - slightly tiring after a long day of walking around seeing the sights!The room & bathroom were actually smaller than the first room we had, but we did have a little balcony which was cool. It was close to plenty of trams to get into the centre, and a short walk to the museum quarter. Nice quiet neighbourhood. It would be great if there was a mirror put into the basement room, and also if the Wifi was free! I think the charge was €5 for 24 hours. I forgot to get cash out to pay for the room on arrival, so had to pay using my (UK) debit card - there was a 4% charge by the hotel, along with whatever my bank charges, so keep that in mind & bring the cash if possible. Finally, the description mentions that rooms have tea/coffee making facilities - they actually only have a kettle, I think you either have to pay for cups & tea/coffee or bring your own. Đọc thêm

Very nice family run hotel. Very comfortable and clean to stay in. The stairs are dramatically steep but stylish. Decent breakfast as well. Would recommend it to anyone wanting an affordable, quiet place to rest.

This hotel is slightly out of the way (30 min walk to the center) but the walk is fairly nice along the canals. I was upgraded to an aparatment which was huge! Hotellet var trangt og lite og rommet var enda mindre. Alt var rent og greit, og frokosten var bra. Hvis du vil bo ganske sentralt og ikke tenker på at du trenger plass til noe mer enn en seng på rommet ditt så holder du ut et lite opphold her. Om du liker å ha plass til både deg og kofferten din på gulvet samtidig ville jeg valgt et annet hotell. Internett […] er billig hvis du betaler for hele oppholdet med en gang. Men deretter ble jeg bare positivt overrasket. Kjempehyggelig betjening, maksimalt serviceinnstilt. Skinnende rent og komfortabelt rom. Rom service med rene håndklær hver dag. Lage: Positiv - Hotel liegt in einem ruhigen Wohnviertel - Museumsplein, großer Supermarkt und Straßenbahn in 3 Gehminuten gut erreichbar Negativ - keine hoteleigenen Parkplätze - öffentliche Parkplätze waren ausreichend vorhanden, kosten aber 4€/h (Tageskarte 24€) Hotel: Positiv - Familiengeführtes Hotel mit Charme. Wirkt teilweise etwas improvisiert, […] aber sehr sauber - Personal ist nett, hilfsbereit und spricht Englisch Negativ - enge Gänge und (für Holland typisch) sehr steile Treppen zu den Zimmern, kein Aufzug - Personal spricht kein Deutsch Zimmer (gebucht wurde ein 'Superior Double or Twin Room'): Positiv - Zimmer war ruhig, hell und sauber - Einrichtung etwas karg, aber funktionell Negativ - Safe wäre überall besser aufgehoben als freistehend auf dem Kaminsims ;) Frühstück: Positiv - Guter Kaffee und Auswahl an Tee - Gast wird satt Negativ - Zwischen 8 und 9 Uhr ist der Frühstücksraum etwas zu klein für das Hotel. Könnte zu Kleineren Wartezeiten und Abstrichen bei der Privatsphäre führen Fazit: Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und würden gerne wiederkommen. 매우 친절하고 위치도 좋지만, 나는 다시는 머물고 싶지 않음.... 성수기라 비싸지만 화장실도 같이쓰고 (4층방들은), 엘리베이터도 없어 짐이 무거울 경우 본인이 직접 옮겨야 할 수도....

Très bien situé près des musées principaux, dans une rue calme. Excellent accueil. Chambre confortable et assez grande. Petit déjeuner buffet très complet. A éviter peut-être pour personnes agées ou familles avec jeunes enfants (pas d'ascenseur et escalier assez raide).

The hotel has a good location and it is only a few minute tram (5, 16, 24...) ride away from the city center. The museum district and the music hall are within a walking distance. Our only complaint was the dampness of the room. We had a quadruple room which was located in the basement. The rooms were otherwise nice expect they were very damp or moist. I would not want to stay there in the winter but I guess it is a common problem with old houses without a proper ventilation.
