Stayed a night in the whimsical TREE room at the wanderlust hotel. I must say this is by far the best hotel room I stayed in, taking into consideration that I travel alot. Fun hotel, different from the usual bland hotels in Singapore. However it is a noisy area so be prepared for some noise at night. Staff are very helpful and allowed us to leave bags and have a shower in a room before we left late in the afternoon. Food is really good at Cocette resturant on ground floor.

Wanderlust is very different from your typical singapore hotel. It is not 5 star but it is homely and down to earth. It is also near Little India which is full of South Indian veg restaurants. MRT is 2 blocks away to get to Marina Bay.

I stayed this past week at Wunderlust. It was an experience to stay at Wunderlust - a good experience overall. The staff was top notch and were extremely helpful. We loved the lobby and the hotel restaurant. The rooms were clean, and cozy. Absolutely hands down the best place I have stayed in Singapore. The street food outside is delicious and the breakfasts here are amazing. The staff are so helpful - even packing me up a surprise breakfast as I had an early flight. The deck and jacuzzi are lovely and this hotel is a real haven in the best part of town for exploring.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed it! We loved Little India; full of character and colour; streets not the easiest to get through due to uneven footpaths etc, but that's the way it is. You either love it or hate it and we loved it. It's a matter of accepting a place for what it is. People were friendly and the MRT stations are all within walking distance […] and easy to use. The hotel itself was great fun. The staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Breakfast in Cocotte restaurant was amazing each morning. The ambience of the hotel was quite different to anything else we have experienced and that's what we loved about it. We had the Orange Crush room which was all orange, but oh so peaceful. The bed was very comfortable and loved the feather and down pillows which we got lost in. Only drawback to the room was that it was a little on the small side, but still inviting. The step up to the bed was something to get used to, so it's a matter of stepping onto the bed then kneeling down into place, but well worth it once you get there. I was traveling with my wife, transiting for one night. I have stayed in Dickson Rd before, last time in the Moon Hotel. I like this style of hotel - not a cookie cutter experience. The bed was really comfortable, the room very quiet, but we were […] a long way from the street, which I imagine might be busy all night, due to many (good) hawker style food in the street. There is a well designed jacuzzi on the 2nd floor on the rooftop deck. Only negative of the room was slightly awkward bathroom arrangement - very little spot to arrange your toiletries. By no means a big deal though. The location is only a 5 min walk to the Bugis Street markets, as well as the 5 story electronics building. There is a heap of good food around and a 5 minute walk to Little India if you need fabrics etc etc.The only other negative for the stay was that they don't start breakfast until 7:30 am, which didn't work for us. I would have liked to try it though - the restaurant that has a great hipster feel, with a great feature light in the centre. Staff were very freindly and courteous. I would highly recommend. It's a small Hotel and you wouldn't go there for its amenities but it's a superbly comfortable, friendly hotel with some small, quality touches that make you feel at home. Boutique hotel, all facilities but rooms are "cosy". That said, you don't send much time in your room....free wifi (one device per room at a time).....great breakfast (can be included) and an easy 800 metre stroll to the MRT. In the heart of little India you re spoilt for choice for pretty authentic food.

We stayed for a week, and loved the place. A loft room was great for a couple, breakfast was delicious, and surrounding restaurants fantastic. Try gokul on upper Dickson rd! It is a bit of a trek to the mrt, but is fine so long as it isn't raining.

We stayed during Christmas and our neighbour was partying. We could hear clearly so the hotel's sound proof is only fair. However this is our second time staying at the hotel. We love their rooms and concept. Will stay again.

Room was exceedingly small with no storage for clothes. Surrounded by outside bars and resturants making it very noisy late into the evening, past 3:00 am.

It was marvellous. Stayed in the space themed room and it was the best room i have ever stayed in. For the price, it is indeed comparable to a normal 5 star hotel given that i am very into themed-hotels. This hotel is unique at it's very best and do give it a try if you tire of the same old boring hotel rooms with the usual fixtures.

We arrived in the very early morning with our room not available til mid afternoon. Our cases were stored and we were given the use of facilities to freshen up and offered a breakfast. Very quirky yet fantastically run boutique hotel right in the heart of Singapore's Little India district. Great location close to 2 different MRT stations meaning all of Singapore is close. Make the most of the Singapore tourist travel pass to get around.

When we arrived to our room there was a small apology notice about the outside noise and a pair of earplugs for sleeping. When you have to wake up by a certain time you can not wear earplugs which drown out alarms as well as street and construction noise. We found Wanderlust to be a fantastic little hotel although not really for families. I spent the week there with my girlfriend and it was just right for the pair of us. Great hotel, enhanced by its location but let down by the lack of sound proofing. Don't stay here if you are the sort of person to shop on Orchard Road - you won't like the location despite the chic fit out. Do stay here if you want to eat local Indian and Thai food sitting outside with the locals.

Whilst this area is a little grungy competed to rest of Singapore, the hotels location was very convenient to 2 mrt stations and Bugis St markets and Arab quarter. Plenty of drinking holes and cheap cafes to eat around & 15min walk to Mustafa Shopping centre. On last day we checked out, but had a late flight (10pm). About 2pm we headed back to hotel to hang out in foyer until shuttle bus pick up at 7pm. Hotel staff approached us and offered free use of empty room to shower and relax in until pick up. Was so grateful and VERY impressed with this high standard of service. Have raved about hotel since our return. HIGHLY recommend this to anyone thinking of going to Singapore. quirky hotel, staff very helpful on any issues, room slightly small, earplugs supplied with the room as there is a 24hour cafe next door in the alley below our room. complimentary soft drinks and water provided which is good. good location for shopping and little india underground.

The hotel was quirky with personalised features. The staff were well informed, friendly and always available to assist. For me the restaurant and food in general were fantastic. Out of the 6 nights I stayed in Singapore, I ate at the hotels restaurant 3 times, because the food at Cocotte was spectacular!

We spent 2nights here in April 2012. From Changi airport the hotel is about 30mins by Taxi at a cost of about 20SGD. The area of Little India is 'up and comming' and 'full of character' but we felt perfectly safe at all times. There is was a lot of construction going on around the area and Little India is a very busy area at night. Upon arrival, the […] staff were very informative and helpful. The Hotel is very secure with lift use requiring activation with the room card. We requested a quiet room and were given a room on the 3rd floor looking into the inner courtyard/lift. I was pleasantly surprised that the room was very quiet after reading other reviews. We could not hear any ouside noise at all and slept very well. The Mono room itself was quite spacious and the lighting effects very cool and easily changable to suit your mood. There was a 40ins (approx) LCD tv and the rain shower was spacious and excellent! Wifi internet was fast and the Nespresso machine and free soft drinks in the minibar a nice touch. The conversion to hotel is only about 1yr old so still looks clean and fresh. It is a 5min walk to the nearest HopOnHopOff type city tour bus stop and about the same for the MRT. Only 3stops/1 change to Orchard rd cost 1.2SGD Breakfast was good and included. We didnt eat at the hotel in the evenings as we were sampling as much Singaporean cuisine as we could...and there is lots of good cheap food available everywhere. Overall, we really liked our stay at Wanderlust, the staff are extremely helpful and accomodating, the hotel itself is quirky and cool but still very practical and the location is reasonably convenient.
