Super 8 Brenham - Brenham

Everything was fine and a good deal for the price, but the hot tub was not hot and the hallway on the 2nd floor had a strong smoke smell, even though we were in a non-smoking room. Our room didn't smell.

The room had a trash filled with trash. The shower curtain was dirty with hair and shampoo residue. The bathroom floor was sticky. The laminated handouts left on the desk were sticky with food and the phone did not work to call front desk. Worst hotel I have been in awhile.

Checkin was a bit of hassle, keys didn't work and had to get new ones and one lady at main desk talked to us like we were her employees not her paying guest--quite rude! No elevator for second floor! Hallway smelled like stale cigarette smoke. Get what you pay for!

Fairly new hotel, and pretty typical Super8. Clean, no frills. Spacious room with adequate amenities. We would stay there again.

Except for a single hair in the jacuzzi tub, everything was great. I stayed the night here while on the MS150 to Austin. The shuttle picked us up at 4:30, and the hotel agreed to put out some food early for us to get a bite before we left.

Reserved a non smoking room and got a smoking. It was small but not too bad. No elevator to get to the 2nd floor and the pool and hot tub were cold.

My stay was very comfortable, and the lady at the check in was very nice and fast, even though she was trying to do a million things at once. My room was very clean and the hotel was quiet.

It was the most miserable hotel stay, the room was not clean when I got there, the window was open with no screen, below 50 degrees, nasty wine in I went to the front desk since noone answered the phone, told the clerk what was going on, she said she would take care of it. Nothing happened, the kicking, yelling and cursing went on all night. The next […] night I tried to get clean towels which were NOT in the room, nothing was clean, noone was at the desk for several visits, I had to find the laundry room myself and get clean towels. Outside doors were propped open, noone was monioring anyone in or out, I did not feel at all safe. the super 8 in Brenham TX is very nice i have stayed there twice and will stay there every time i go to Brenham TX the rooms are very nice and clean and the people that work there are nice I am from Kermit TX and Brenham TX is a nice place to stay

Room had strong smell. Bed and pillows uncomfortable. Walls too thin, can hear conversation next door. Noisy metal staircase next to room. Long wait while checking lady was looking for paperwork. I reserved non-smoking room and was put in a room that had recently been converted from smoking to non-smoking. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. I was moved to a different room which also smelled of cigarette smoke but not quite as bad as the first room. We were very careful to make a phone call to the property to assure ourselves that even though the hotel was listed as pet-friendly our two golden retrievers wouldn't be a problem. Imagine our surprise when entering the hotel we were stopped and asked, "Oh, how much do those dogs weigh?" I responded, "About 65 lbs." We were then told that we had to […] pay $20 per dog for them to stay since they only accepted dogs under 45 lbs. We had no choice but to pay. When I asked for contact info for the GM the lady at the desk at 5:30 on Saturday afternoon told me that she was the GM and I would have to deal with her. It was fine for a place to spend the night. There is no elevator which surprised me. Overall, it was clean,safe and cheap which was what I wanted.

Hotel was fairly new so the facility was clean and fresh. There was some major road costruction going that made the hotel very hard to get to, not their fault. The continental breakfast was adequate and the hotel was right next to a huge Mexican restaurant Cielto Lindo we ate 2 of our meals there. Nice!

The beds were uncomfortable. We all thought they were too soft. Something was wrong with the equipment at breakfast. The coffee maker did not work. The scrambled eggs were cold. There would have been a good selection of everything had everything worked, but cold eggs are no fun. It was an ok experience, a place to sleep. Very nice, very new and very clean place. The only negative was the highway construction makes it hard to find and get to. VERY good value for the money.

Only thing that was not good on the hotel... Is that who ever was tending to the breakfast area...left a large tUpperware dish in which they microwaved scrambled eggs in out and open well past noon....it was just open on the counter and nothing was cleaned.

This hotel has a not of amenities and is in a good location. The the pillows were HORRIBLE!!! We had a king size bed and had three almost-flat pillows.

Hotel room was very clean and staff for the most part are friendly. Wish the bathroom had a Shower Massage Handheld Shower head. Seems that the non-smoking rooms are on the second floor and no elevator. Had to make multiple trips upstairs but again only 2 floors. Wireless works great. Breakfast not always hot but many choices. When we arrived, we were sent to our room on the second floor. As soon as I opened the door of the stairwell to the second floor you could hear this loud repetitive "boom" sound coming from what looked to be a mechanical room. And of course our hotel room was right next to it! Our room was never cleaned. The bed was made and the TV would be on a spanish station, but trash full, coffee maker not cleaned, trash on floors, sinks and toilets not cleaned, floor not vaccuumed.The AC did not work. I complained and my husband complained. Noone looked at it or fixed it and when we asked for a different room they said there was not […] one available. We had a nice stay. Construction in the area made it somewhat difficult to access the area but it will not be a problem once the highway construction is finished otherwise I highly recommend staying at this hotel.

Great hotel but road work makes getting there a little difficult. Noice not a problem. Location is convenient and more temporary signage to help navigate road construction would be nice. Breakfast adequate and staff very friendly and helpful.

Stay was good. Highway construction made it hard to get to, but that will go away in a couple of months. It's in a good location.
