Sleepy Cedars - Belfast

Aoife, the landlord, is a very pleasant, kind and considerate person. Also, very interesting. The house has alot of character and is a very comfortable place to stay. I will return.

I was up for a short business trip and just stayed one night at Sleepy Cedars. The impersonal reaction of the hostess made one feel that we were an inconvenience. The breakfast was very faddy but lacked substance.

Right next to a very nice park. Easy to find. It was a bit of a walk to downtown. Breakfast was simple, but excellent. Even the yogurt was home mede. A nice change from the big Irish breakfast.

Our stay was quite pleasant and our room very clean and quiet. Our hostess outdid herself with a beautiful and delicious breakfast each morning. She was also very helpful in directing us to sites in Belfast. We enjoyed our stay at the Sleepy Cedars Bed and Breakfast.

As someone who frequents hotels and hostels, it's a delight to stay in one of those elusive other types of accommodation: the B&B. It's often not an option for us further abroad for location reasons, but in Belfast we figured we'd at least have the advantage of language on our side. And boy, am I glad we did! Sleepy Cedars is a comfy, family-style […] B&B with only a few, well kept rooms. The bed was as comfy as a large marshmallow. The sparkling clean bathroom had a great shower. More than any other place I've stayed, Sleepy Cedars feels like a home away from home. This is probably because of the care that Aoife, who has solo responsibility for the B&B, takes of every guest. She was more than just a source of city information, but actually treated us like friends or family. Mind you, I'm quite partial to anyone who can feed me as well as Aoife. Breakfast was a treat I can barely put words to. Nearly everything was home-made. As well as traditional Irish breads, preserves, cheese and ham, there were cheesy puffs, homemade yoghurt with blueberry compote and home roasted granola, and a delicious spiced rice served in cute little blue teacups. We stayed at Sleepy Cedars for two nights. It is a beautiful house and the room was lovely. It was a 10 minute bus ride into the city so very convenient. Aoife was a delight, and it was a such a shame that we had two really early starts that we couldn't enjoy the breakfast to the full extent. But all in all, a great little place!

We were not welcomed into this B+B. All the rooms were not en-suite although the shared bathroom was very nice and clean.

Das Bed&Breakfast liegt etwas außerhalb von Belfast in einer ruhigen Wohnsiedlung. Das Zentrum lässt sich gut mit dem Bus, der alle paar minuten fährt, erreichen. EIn echtes Highlight ist das selbstgemachte Frühstück von Gastgeberin Aoife. Beim Frühstück fühlt man sich richtig wie zu Hause. Aoife kann einem auch gute Ratschläge geben und ist immer hilfsbereit […] bei Problemen.
