Lovely staff, the rooms were clean and decent. Lots of space in the lobby, we had a little meeting there with out any bother. Very close to the Royal Mile, and a great price for where it is.

The name suggests something a bit shabby, but for the money I thought it was worth a try for one night. What a pleasant surprise !! The hotel is in a fantastic spot and I found the room large, modern and very comfortable. It's literally across the road from Prines Street and a very short walk to the Royal Mile. There is no parking though and the closest […] Car Park is Waverley Station, which is about 5 mins walk. We enjoyed our stay at the Motel One Edinburgh-Royal. The location is great - very central and right in the middle of the Royal Mile. The room itself was comfortable and decently-sized for a city. Parking can be a bit of a hassle if you have a car with you but there is a parking deck not too far away.

I stayed here for 2 nights on Business in June. The hotel was very conveniently located for walking into town and getting to & from Waverley station. My room was very comfortable, if a bit lacking in basic ammenities such as tea & coffee making facilities or soap! I had a very quiet night's sleep the first night, although they chose to take the bins […] out at 7.30am the following morning which wasn't nice to be woken up by! For the price it was good value. Out of Edinburgh train station, hotel is right across the road, perfect location for almost every attractions, shopping malls and restaurants. Hotel is quite new, only open early in the year, very clean. We have a double room on second floor with window view facing Princes Street which is great. Room pretty small, no wardrobe , just a few hangers on […] rail, only shower but no bath. Need to ask at reception to 'borrow' kettle and cups for a £10 deposit refundable which also include few tea bags, sticks of coffee, sugar and mini milk carton. We did not have breakfast which is £7 extra. We stayed for 3 nights. Great location, reasonable price. Will use it again if for short stay. Air conditioning was not working at the time during our stay, hope it will be functional soon as weather getting warmer. Reception told us to open window if too hot?! You could not be more central in Edinbugh- the modern town at your doorstep- actually living in the historic part of town. Such a relief to finally have a good efficient modern hotel in Edinburgh; more will follow? Fantastic

The hotel was comfortable, though less frills that I would have thought. The wireless worked part of the time, but in the evening, when most of the hotel was apparently using it, it was so slow as to be functionally useless. People were helpful, the room was clean, and the location was ideal for me.

The room was very clean, very modern and I felt extremely comfortable in the room. The service was great, they asked if I wanted wifi upon arrival and the we had a nice time using the bar. Extremely great location too.

My experience was nearly a perfect stay. The only draw back was a few quirky things with the actual room: no nightstand, odd light switches(you never quite knew which switch turned on/off which lights) , two twin blankets for queen bed rather than one large blanket and there were no bars of soap to wash hands with only body wash gel. We ended up having a last minute, overnight stay in Edinburgh and this hotel was the perfect solution for us - easy to book, walking distance to the bus station and centrally located. It was also useful that the airport bus stops across the road from the hotel, making our trip to the airport the next morning very easy.

This hotel has a lot going for it, it's centrally located and about a stones throw from the station. On one side you have the Mile and on the other you have George street so you really are spoilt for choice. A lovely hotel situated in a perfect location in the heart of the city. The room was very clean, modern and comfortable. The room did not have tea/coffee making facilities which was rather disappointing. I did not take the breakfast option. On the whole I would certainly recommend this hotel and would book again.

Clean, comfortable hotel but more basic than I expected. The pictures of the rooms are beautiful, and I expected some luxury. The rooms do look good, but everything in the rooms feels and is very basic. If you have the right expectations and didn't pay too much for a room, it's the perfect place. Mitt emellan gamla och nya staden i Edinburgh. En tysk kedja som nyligen renoverat detta moderna hotell. Det var riktigt nytt och fräscht överallt. En god frukost som serverades i bar/lobbymiljö. Ett stort kanalutbud på TVn som inkluderade både engelska, tyska, polska, ryska och italienska kanaler. 空港シャトルバスAIR LINKの停車地のほぼ目の前に位置していて、とにかく使いやすかったです。また、内装も新しくとてもきれいでした。ニュータウンとオールドタウンのちょうど真ん中でもあるので、飛行機でエディンバラに入るのであればこれ以上にない拠点となると思います。

Hotel liegt in der Innenstadt, direkt beim Bahnhof/Buslink zum Flughafen, wenige Gehminuten zur Altstadt. Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet und sehr gemütlich. Kann dieses Hotel wirklich nur weiterempfehlen!

Hotel is eenvoudig maar prima, wifi laat te wensen over en ik had een kamer met uitzicht op blinde muur. De Buurt is geweldig!! Naast het treinstation waar ook de bus van vliegveld aankomt. Midden tussen de pubs en in de oude binnenstad

Hotel en kamer prima. Personeel leek voor het eerst in een hotel te werken en laten we zeggen dat het niet hun roeping was. Locatie ideaal voor Royal mile en dichtbij busstop van en naar Edinburgh airport. Aanrader wat dat betreft.
