ibis Styles London Excel - formerly Custom House Hotel - Luân Đôn

Booked via hotels.com, always a bit iffy about this brand as they are often very basic. But lovely place, parking overnight on site cheap enough. Had dinner in on site steakhouse. Good deal and decent food at a decent price. Well pleased.

Spotlessly clean - housekeeping are to be applauded. The breakfast was filling (would personally prefer more selection on cheese, cold cuts & fruit) and replenished constantly - also really nice to get an Irish Independent to read! Just 2 minor points: it was very hard to see tv screen, as no matter where I sat there was a shine on the screen, with […] both lights on or off & blind open or closed. The other thing is the soap dispensers in the bathroom need a lot of power to get soap out, which may prove difficult for anyone with arthritis or a disability. Noise levels may prove too much for some, if staying in front rooms of the hotel as overlooking both the road & DLR - also low flying planes. However, transport is of no problem (DLR, bus & London City Airport are literally on your doorstep, as is Excel Exhibition Centre. I would recommend this hotel for business, rather than leisure. This hotel is a good one for short stays, situated near the eXcel and the DLR line is right outside. The hotel has a couple of takeaways and shops nearby if you dont want to pay the prices in the restaurant or bar attached (quite high). The free breakfast was surprisingly good, with full english, cereals, breads, coissants/pain au chocolaits and yogurts […] etc. Other than that i didnt use any other services so i cant comment on them. Check in and check out were very simple and straightforward. Room was perfectly ok. Exactly what I was expecting to find given the amount I paid. It was clean and given the recent upgrade all seemed new and worked fine. I checked in early as I was attending a conference at ExCel directly opposite the hotel (perfect position but lots needs to be done to improve the hotel). When I reached my room I could hear voices inside and when I used my key card to enter a man and lady in suits told me they were in the middle of a room audit and asked me to wait outside as they'd […] be ten minutes! I explained I was in a rush for meetings but they said they'd be quick. When asked, they confirmed that they worked for the hotel and told me (the guest ie. their income) that I'd have to wait which begrudgingly I did as I didn't want to walk the half mile back to reception with my bags (room 503 on top floor). After five minutes they came out but no apology. Not a good start! When I got in the room the first thing that hit me was the smell from the drains which was awful. I opened the loft style window in the roof and then had the stench from the kitchens below hit me as the outlet chimney was almost directly outside the window! Whilst the room was clean, it wasn't of the standard I would expect from an international hotel chain. Eg. A makeshift desk which was a kitchen work surface on poles, creaky floors, ill fitted light switch outside bathroom, shaving light not working, pine wooden bed frames (really?! Are we still in the 80's!). I'd recommend this hotel for its location and proximity to ExCel, but absolutely not for its value for money at £140 per night! Đọc thêm

Clean and tidy, staff were approachable, literally over the road from the DLR around 20mins to the centre of London via tube. Would stay here again if I got the same deal :-)

Stayed here with friends when I came to london to do the marathon this year, handy location for excel and for the dlr in general. Car park cheap which is good but the hotel has been shoddily changed into an ibis reject with ill fitting fixtures. The staff are now incapable of actually making decisions and its quite frankly a load of rubbish. A GREAT FIND!!. This Ibis hotel is a suprior Ibis! The room was small but acceptable although I wish all Ibis' can find a way to fit in a small sofa instead of the standard plastic chair in their rooms so that we can read more comfortably. There is air conditioning. The bathroom was small but functional but the shower tap mixer could be better tuned. […] TV programs are minimal, mainly local no cable but it's OK. There was only wired Internet connections in the room but people travel with tablets and smartphones and need wireless connections. But this hotel does not have wireless in the rooms. The front desk staff are efficient enough. The highlight of the stay must surely be the breakfast buffet! The foods come complete with hot and cold foods and great coffee! And the super efficient staff keeps replenishing the food and clearing the tables. The interior design of this place is really pretty! Lemon yellow walls, accented with blue bell shaped pendant lights! The location of this hotel is fantastic. Just across the road is the DLR (for Docklands Light Railway) which connects to the center of town via Picadilly line (for Heathrow airport) easily. It takes only 3 minutes to walk onto the platform but it is not accessible to wheelchairs at this time. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from ExCel. This Ibis gives really good value. This hotel was as expected for the price and proximity to london. Very poor sound proofing of rooms though, which is a common theme of all Ibis hotels.

Hotel was great. Buffet breakfast very good. DLR stop right outside. Didn't use bar or restaurant but they looked very nice. About 25 minutes by DLR/tube to embankment/ Westminster/green park/Cuttysark. Apartment was very good. Didn't spend much time in apartment as we were out and about most of the time.

A typical no thrills London hotel. Tiny yet clean and comfortable rooms. Extremely tiny and very plasticy barrooms with possibly the smallest showers on the planet. They have very limited parking at £10 a day. Which is great if you can get a space. The hotel is pretty basic. Theis place is not where to go for honey moon or if you want some extra luxury or pampering. It is clean but rooms are small. If you need a place to stay for one or two night, this place is ok. Also note that there is no wireless internet in the room only at the reception on the ground floor. This hotel used to be known as Custom House Hotel but was taken over and looks like ibis decided to improve nothing. The rooms are tiny and feel like sleeping in a small garage with a portaloo. The room was freezing and the covers on the tiny, uncomfortable bed were thin and not actually long enough for the bed. The rooms also pick up a lot of street […] noise so sleep is difficult. The shower has little power and flushes hot and cold. Although very close to Excel and docklands station, by night the area does not feel safe and I would discourage solo female or elderly travellers from coming here at night. The hotel was well located to the excel centre. I was not happy with the quality of the room and its cleanines. Breakfast was like being at a canteen didn't represent the quality for £160 a night hotel.

Fiquei 6 dias no hotel e tive uma experiencia mto boa. O hotel fica a 100 metros da estaçao de trem, 30 min do centro, localizada na zona 3, o cafe da manha e exelente, quarto confortável, ducha boa, funcionarios prestativos, tem um belo Pub e um otimo restaurante dentro do hotel. Recomento! Custo beneficio exelente!

Havde 4 overnatninger og alt taget i betragtning, så er hotellet godt. Ligger i udkanten af london, men ingen problemed med transport til centrum. Tager ca. 15 minutter, så står du på Oxford Street. Restauranten er ikke noget at råbe hurra for men ok traditionel engelsk mad. Morgenmaden ok. så alt i alt et fint hotel.
