"We stayed for 2 nights for a family funeral. The staff were very nice and helpful. The atmosphere was very relaxing. The breakfasts were lovely. The only negatives, was they did not offer dinner, so we had to walk to find restaurants and that the room and en suite, needed a bit of TLC."

"Mere Brook is a lovely place to stay. The house and grounds are beautiful and the room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was self service but everything was fresh and well stocked. We travelled in for a football match and very easy to get into Liverpool. Probably better than going in via the M62. Will definitely book again and highly recommended."

"A great place to stay, a short distance from the train station and very close to Matthew Street. We had a big room, with three kingsize beds for the three of us and a lovely big jacuzzi bath with shower over, the air con was very welcome as we had hot weather while we stayed. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was really good with plenty of choice. Although we were close to Matthew Street the hotel was really quiet and we all had a good nights sleep.My only criticism is that the...
