Historic hotel was an excellent choice for a 3 night holiday. Loved the outdoor swimming pool which was very warmby the lake. Also very nice to test out the lake swimming pool next to it to get an idea of actual temperature.
Breakfast was superb especially the made to order omelettes, fried eggs, real honeycomb and different assortment of breads including especially delicious cheese rolls. Waiters and waitresses were very attentive.

Super welcome, fantastic 'Tower Room'. There is only one such room and it has panoramic views of Salzburg and environs. Breakfast, service, friendliness all first rate. A small hike out of town, but well worth it!
I stayed at the Hyperion during a last minute trip to Salzburg. The hotel is beautiful and the staff amazingly attentive. It is in a brilliant location- across the road from Mirabell palace and gardens and approximately a 10 minute stroll through the gardens and over the footbridge to reach the old town. Panorama tours check in and pick up spot is literally a one minute walk and if you want to catch the airport bus, it is in the same area.

The hotel is located in Grodig which is about a 20 minute bus journey into Salzburg an ideal location if you want somewhere quiet and away from the busy city in a beautiful area. The accommodation was excellent and very clean, the hotel staff who speak English are very helpful and provided leaflets informing us of various tours in the area, bus service etc. We could not fault the breakfast which was very varied, usually cereals, cold meats...
A second visit to the Blaue Gans - our 'go to' hotel when in Salzburg. A direct bus line from the airport drops you right outside the door - and your then based within an easy walk of all the main attractions in the old town.
