"I’ve stayed at this hotel twice now and absolutely love it! The casino is fun of course, but the hotel itself is super clean and the staff has always been very friendly and helpful. Staying at the hotel gets you a voucher for breakfast the next day for a few dollars off whatever you purchase which is a nice little perk. The room has always been clean and there is an abundance of parking. The location is amazing as it’s right off the highway — has a gas station next to it — and is located right outside of some amazing sights/drives to explore in the Humboldt/Redwood areas of the area. This reason alone is why I’ve stayed here as it’s a great spot to rest your head when exploring The Lost Coast! Also being able to support the Bear River community is great! Highly recommend staying here and I can’t wait to visit again!"

"I went to a Humboldt 30 years ago and chose to stay at the Hotel Arcata while on a recent college tour visit with our son. Stay at the Hotel Arcata for the you-can’t- get- more-central location on the Arcata Plaza and the friendly, helpful staff. Yes, the hotel is old and quirky, but it’s clean and the rooms are large. the hallways are full of really great historic photos of the area and the visitors guide to the area that they have created is really quite exceptional. They do offer muffins and yogurts in their breakfast lounge, but we passed those up every morning so that we could go to Los Bagels instead! Definitely bring your ear plugs if you are staying on a Friday or Saturday night because the Plaza will be full of students bar-hopping. But Sunday was very quiet. :-) Anyway, thank you for the stay, Hotel Arcata! "
