6/10 Good

On the negative side, it was difficult to access grocery shopping sites, and I struggled due to the lack of kitchen facilities. Also, the rooms had a sour smell, having been shut up for a while. I suspect the rugs need cleaning. On the positive side, the beds and linens and bathrooms were very clean, even though the rugs were not. The location was lovely (though it was a long walk from the bus). The front desk staff were very helpful. Bottom line, it's a dorm room. Not fancy but serviceable. Kind of overpriced for what it offers.

Great location and affordable
The location of the hotel is very good. It is in the UBC campus with a nice beach in walking distance. I went there to watch the sunset. The bed is twin size. The price is very affordable. Great for single travellers.

I would highly recommend this property for one’s stay in Vancouver. It has everything that you need in order to travel in a relaxed manner, they have washers and dryers which allows you to pack less clothing. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful and truly ready to assist you when you need. The one downside that I would say about the property is the location seeing as how it is a bit far from downtown Vancouver you can easily get a bus pass from the shoppers on campus.

2/10 Poor

I would not know because I never land on that property. My flight was affected due to the international IT outage and never made it. And they didn’t refund me even though it wasn’t my fault because it was an uncontrollable event. Anywho, never again.

It’s a great place for a private room with a shared bathroom in a great university environment with easy transit links to downtown or the city as a whole.

Despite having to make the bed myself, they left sheets and blankets on the bed, and removing four long hairs from the sheets and blankets, I would stay here again. As the Travelodge, I used to always stay at in Langley, has doubled in price. The walls are thin. Heard someone snoring late last night.
